Pertinent information. I have tried epic flash, cobra f9, taylormade m5 and m6. My swing speed is around 106 to 111. Winner for me M5 aldila extorsion copper 60. I had a M1 with an oban shaft before . The taylormade driver was longer especially on heel misses. I found the misses with the Taylormade less penal. I was impress with the toe misses very long. The feeling with the callaway was better for me than the cobra. Thanks for your useful videos...
sometimes a fit can’t be beat. my last fitting proved that my gamer is the bees knees. ian and matt put that combo together for me, so obviously it’s perfect!
Hi Guys. I recently purchased a M 6 Type D driver with a red senior shaft. I don't have the biggest swing speed by a long shot but I love golf and hit many a good shot. I hadn't seen 200 yards off the driver in some time but today on my first shot with this new driver I managed to hit it 211 yards and ended up with a birdie. I really only took a medium swing too. I was pretty amazed. Then I took some other shots with it too and managed 200 plus again. These M 6's are pretty amazing. I felt my control of it was pretty darn good as well. I am used drivers that are between 43 and 44 inches. I always used short ones because I could control them better. I finally found one 45 plus inches that I can handle. So the major story for me is the distance and control. Loving it!!!! Had to tell you guys. Spider Dubiel
Lindsay’s numbers and dynamic loft are almost copies of my own, so this was a lot of fun to watch. Would love to see her do irons, fairway woods, and hybrids.
Beautiful swing. Amazing consistency with the M4/M6. But I'm more impressed with how Ian knows exactly what will happen with any club in every golfers hands. If there is something better than Master fitter, he's it.
Hey guys, love the channel. By far the best reviews available. Which drivers seem to retain best ball speed on strikes low in the face? If i miss, its because i have missed it on the lower side of the club face.
So far we've seen Cobra F9, Mizuno ST190 and these Taylormade drivers retain speed nicely on low strikes - will have more data on that as we continue to review all the new 2019 drivers.
So … what happens to the properties of the speed foam over time? As players store their clubs in very hot/cold car trunks, will the faces become non-conforming as the foam gets brittle or loses its elastic properties?
Time will tell on that, but would imagine Taylormade would have given proper R&D and engineering efforts towards ensuring the longevity of these clubs.
Excellent video, excellent swing (because excellent results !) ! And such nice and cool people... (always good to watch...) Just a question then: I have read/heard around there that higher lofts would be beneficial for amateurs with this kind of head speed. 9° is really low. Could you make a video giving some insights on efficient launch angles and speed for this 90ish mph speed ? And then deducing loft with angle of attack ? Would Lindsay gain carry with a 10,5° driver (and even 12°) ? (and maybe less potential detrimental side spin - even if it does not seem to harm Lindsay !!! 👍)
I was excited about the M5, ready to upgrade my M3, and tested the Epic Flash Subzero at two golf galaxy locations. My next driver reluctantly will be the Epic Flash subzero. However, 10 to 15mph swing speed and 7 to 8mph ball speed. NO BRAINER FLASH AHHHH!
With the new track on the M5 would moving the weights back and behind her CG location possibly give a bit more pop? Her strike point is pretty consistent toe side.
love your channel, I have similar speeds than Lindsey so enjoy her fitting most, I play P790 after her fitting here and love them! However, during that 790 fitting you used TP5 vs TP5X balls as part of the fitting and it made changes, can you do that for driver too? Cheers from sunny AZ!!!!!! (I know she TM staff but for fun us normal gofers have choices, can Lindsey do M6 vs Ping Max vs Flash, I assume she uses regular shafts? TP5 vs TP5X too?)
Have noticed on a couple of recent videos you guys appear to be using the Lamkin Sonar grip, are you going with that as the standard for your fitting shafts? Thanks for the video. As mentioned by others, nice to see a fitting with a SS I can relate to.
Hey guys I love your videos and am a huge fan. Keep up the great work. I have a question so I have the 2017 taylormade m1 and I wanted to upgrade to the 2019 m5 driver what are your thoughts can you guys make a video of the 2 head to head.
Is it possible to do a test that shows the impact of speedfoam in varying temperatures? I personally noticed almost a 2 club swing between peak of summer to fall.
Great videos guys. My question to you is my swing speed is 88 89 with driver at 10.5 loft and my launch is 16.2 average carry 212. If I wanted to get more distance should I lower the loft or raise it.
Hi guys, what advice to you give people when they present for a fit for a new driver and they were producing good numbers from the old one? Just change driver if you want a visual or feel change?
Possibly Thomas, but she gets fantastic results and consistency from her strike pattern now. Efficiency numbers were very high so wouldn't necessarily be a benefit for Lindsay in this case.
Great swing Lindsey .... I would like to see Crossfield come in a get fitted for fun as he keeps claiming he can over ride the shaft to get a desired outcome ...... Let Ian put him in different shafts from extreme ends of the spectrum
@@jporter504 Rick shiels is a hack his reviews are worthless . With a 92mph swing speed shouldn’t the spin be around 2700? I was fitted with spin of 3000 with about the same speed. Btw, please more videos with average swing speeds. We can’t relate otherwise when you carry 320.
Depends on what the player is trying to achieve, for Lindsay she is so consistent with her delivery and accuracy that more distance was the best way for her to improve her scores. For someone needing more control and help putting the ball in play, more spin would be beneficial as you've indicated.
@@clubchampionmedia this is my findings.....I'm steady and when using a higher spin driver , I give up a ton of yards....get my max distance from the low spin types.....superdeep, M1/M3 and the like......great to confirm that type of information.....have you tried adding either loft or adjusting weights on M5? Weights back can add carry
I like watching better female players hitting balls due to the relatable factor to most amateur weekend players. Hitting a golf ball over 300 yards or a pitching wedge go 150 yards is fun to watch but there is no way most golfers can achieve that.
Except while they may not pick up distance the way men do, women still get more accurate with practice, which is why she's splitting fairways like she fired the ball out of a cannon, and we're not.
Is it just me or has the M6 "grown" a stretched tail at the bottom and rear of the head? Reminds me of the King Cobra F9 Speedback "hump thing" at the back..... Who's copying who??
Good question - Lindsay hits up on the ball quite a bit, so she's able to get a high launch angle and relatively low spin. Because she is so consistent and straight down the fairway, we're able to give her a bit more of an 'unstable' ball flight with lower spin to help her get more distance. But you are correct, for the player that needs more consistency/control, a bit more spin would be beneficial
@@clubchampionmedia Yea hitting up quite a bit with her loft getting 16 spin loft which is decent for her SS. she's like a robot in fairness, so repeatable

Possibly, but for this test we're just testing taylormade drivers anyway, and Lindsay's swing is very repeatable and a relatable speed to get some good initial test data. More testing and fittings with these drivers to come for sure.

More Lindsay, we have the exact same swing speeds. I find her very relevant, I think a lot of us do!
I appreciate the integrity of the reviews on this channel. The M6 is similar in performance to Lindsay's M4 after dialing in the right shaft for her.
