- Transformers the Movie may have seen the death of Starscream, but he proved harder to finish off than that. With appearances in Season 3 of the cartoon as a ghost, he also entered the Beast Wars and possessed Waspinator. In the Transformers BWVS-08 Ghost Starscream vs. Haunted Waspinator 2-Pack, we get an homage to that entertaining episode, called “Possession.” Captain Kyle reviews the set to see if you want it haunting your collection.
Starscream was destroyed by Galvatron in Transformers the Movie, but his ghost appeared in Season 3 of the Generation One cartoon to cause all kinds of trouble for both Autobots and Decepticons alike. He even managed to get his old body back from Unicron. But his resurrection was short-lived, and he became a ghost once again. He ended up traveling to the world of Beast Wars, where he possessed the Predacon Waspinator and worked with a new Megatron to fight the Maximals. Of course, he intended to betray this Megatron as well, but ended up being scared away. This Beast Wars set pays homage to that episode and Captain Kyle examines these toys thoroughly to see if the ghost stories are true.

I'm a G1 molds guy, that e-hobby Starscream's ghost seeker has been on my hit list for a LONG time! Be careful that clear plastic seems to yellow becoming a piss-scream lol
I have the eHobby one. It hasn't yellowed.

Bright light (sun light especially) is a guaranteed way to make these clear toys turn yellow, they don’t always need help. Plenty have turned on their own. I’m afraid it’s luck of the draw as with all kinds of plastic fading/yellowing.
Possession... is nine-tenths of the law!
loved this beast wars episode SOOOOO much. Waspinator and Starscream are amazing characters.

I have all of these re-issues, and they are definitely worth it. They look great all together on display.

I would want this set for nostalgia well starscream only I'll give waspy to a need waspy. I don't dislike him but I grew up with tfa wasp maybe I'll keep him if I get tfa legacy wasp.
It always bothered me Starscream possessing Waspinator never transformed into beast mode despite the raw Energon.

Originally Starscream was killed by Galvatron in the '86 movie after the fight at Autobot City, Megs and others were cast off Astrotrain and they come to meet Unicron whilst drifting in space.
Granted, I am unsure about any comics storylines, but this is the original story.
It's also, in the same scene we see Coronation Starscream
Starscream in the comics was destroyed by absorbing too much of the Underbase in issue 50. Then he was rebuilt into a Pretender. Not sure if he died again

i wonder if starscream existed twice, one as ghost and one as intact spark? but still starscream is a idiot. instead of takeover the body of this crash test dummy waspinator, he should taken control of a protoform body, plenty of them circling around the orbit of the planet.
Except he might not have been able to nudge the stasis pod out of orbit and he would have been trapped.
@@ToySpotlite the stasis pods are still functional if tarantulas managed to send a landing signal to the pod in spider's game. it would be possible for starscream to get on the planet surface if he takes over the pod first then make transform the protoform to his new body.

I was just about to ask if you had one of these Ghost Starscream figures, if you could review it, and where you had gotten it... then, lo and behold! You have a review up, lol.😅
I for one, would definitely be interested in seeing a video focused on the Crystal Ghost Starscream figures that you have... I only ever had or even knew about ONE until THIS figure popped up somewhere recently...
The one I have, is the older deluxe version of the 2007-ish G3 era Seeker mold, which COULD BE an actual Henkei release, but I'm pretty sure it's just a KO of that figure, and the one I have is called "Crystal Ghost Starscream"... always thought it was cool to pose him in a flight stand (bot mode), hovering just slightly above and behind characters like Octane and Scourge/Sweeps, whom he'd "possessed" and controlled in the cartoon... as though he was about to enter their bodies...
Then when the ECTO-1 X-Over figure came out, I thought I'd incorporate that character into the mix and have Ghostiescream out front, with the figures he'd previously been stalking, surrounding them in a semi-circle, watching on, as ECTO-1 wands him with Starscream hovering over the ghost trap, surrounded by the wand's energy tendrils, (custom made with colored bendy wire, so they are fully posable and help to hold Starscream over the trap...)
Unfortunately, since my wife and I had a baby and bought a house right around that time, I had to pack everything back up for the move, and haven't been able to get any of my displays set up since moving into the new house, partly due to the fact that we have a toddler now, and she can reach and climb to get everything she sees, lol, so whatever I do will have to be toddler proofed or it isn't happening...😅😅😅
I definitely want to get this Starscream, but I'm kind of hoping for a KO option, because I'm afraid this set has a high price tag on it...🤔 I've also got a couple of other versions of Waspinator already, so I don't necessarily want/need another one, even though it does look pretty sweet. 😅 I think if I can find the Ghost Starscream somewhere, l will probably give my buddy the one I have now, so he can use it with his collection.
