Julie....you are so freaking cute and I just loved listening to you! I love your enthusiasm and passion. I agree with you, I prefer the jagged edges as it adds depth and texture to it. The smooth is so much like a factory roll out! You want something that looks hand made and that is what you have. It says it is hard to tear so you could be okay with the bottom thickness. You could use your clear silicone in the gun to fill places like corners with silicone that you don’t need filled. Snip them out when ready or put a piece of thick plastic across the edge before you pour. It isn’t silicrete, it is silicreate. As in to create something with silicone. We all do this sometimes when it isn’t a real word together our mind just picks the obvious. I have a sister that does it all of the time and it is a real thing. She is very intelligent. 🌷

Mind you, like you, I agree that there should be 6 of everything. When you buy cutlery, place mats etc, there is always 6 of everything isn't there. I hope the weather is good for you in Queensland, Australia, even though it is your winter? Weather in the UK is not too great for our summer!!! Here's an idea to make that silicone go further In the areas that a negative not part of your mold place some stones or unneeded items to into the negative spaces pushing that extra silicone into the areas that you need it because in the corners is quite a bit of wasted silicone then when you remove your mold you can just remove those items you used in the negative spaces to push that silicone to where you needed it. It's just for your use so it doesn't have to be beautiful or you could actually put shapes in there that you could reuse later when you make your silicone coasters you can make those little silicone designs as well such as crystals etc
