I love the original a lot, but I think this one has unsettling vibes that amplify the lyrics in a way that the original just doesn't. I'll definitely be listening to both
I honestly don't love the original. I am a huge hozier fan but it didn't scratch that itch. Thankfully this done and makes me enjoy the song much more.

The blending of the choir with Hozier pitched down voice is so unique and perfect for album (if it is based on Dante’s Inferno)

What I really appreciate about Hozier is how much thought he puts into every aspect of his work. The album artwork itself is so layered and symbolic... every time I look at it I see something new - the latest being the grotesque figure outlined in the straw. What a joy to have access to music like this.
English is not my 1st language and I don't understand some words but I feel like I don't have to. The way he sings makes me understand everything.

I searched high and low to find out what "Bekon's Choral" meant and couldn't. Help? I need more songs performed exactly this way in my brain right now
If it helps , Bekon is an artist and composer so I’m guessing it’s a possessive apostrophe. So I’m guessing they just mean they used Bekon’s vocals as a choir , or him orchestrating a choir ?
