    OMG...the late Bobby Hatfield. I was 15 years old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. He owns this song. No one has sang this song he did. His voice is unmatched. RIP Bobby. We miss you! 💖 💖💖🙏

    Another legend. The Righteous Brothers. Best duet to ever grace the music scene. Absolute legends! Blue Eyed Soul at its best! Bobby Hatfield had a phanominal voice as did Bill Medley. Polar opposites vocally and together mind blowing. Fuck Dude. You'll never hear shit like this ever again! This is real music. Not the garbage young people listen to now. It's a damn shame.

    The Righteous Brothers were referred to as "Blue Eyed Soul". Bobby Hatfield (seen here) and Bill Medley were two of the most talented singers of their day, if not ever. You need to check our "Soul and Inspiration" and, as someone else mentioned "Summertime", another solo performance by Bobby. And yes, this song made women melt. And it still does.

    Bobby Hatfield (8/10/1940-11/5/2003) has the most acclaim and popular version of this song, check out the origin and history of this classic song to hear some of the 1,500 version of this song. As you stated this was live on TV in '65 he was a little nervous because his parents were sitting in the audience. Great reaction, it was called " Blue Eyed Soul "

    These guys had a bunch of great songs. The other guy in the group, Bill Medley, the baritone, sings lead in the very raunchy, bluesy Muddy Waters song I Just Wanna Make Love To You. They also did You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Soul and Inspiration and Rock N Roll Heaven. But I've seen female reactors go crazy for I Just Wanna Make Love To You. It's the original going commando song.

    There s a whole generation alive today because of this song because you're right this was one of those songs that made women weak. Add Bobby Hatfields blue eyed soul and incredable vocal range and bang, your in there. This song has been no.1 4 times in the Uk and each time sold over 1 million copies, and that was when you had to go out and buy records. Twice by The Rightous Brothers and twice more with covers buy other artists.

    You played the shortened video with just the song. There is a longer version with Bobby (this singer) and Bill (the other brother) interviewed by Andy Williams (his show) of why Bill doesn't song this song as a duet before Bobby rips this song into a new dimension.

    • @wnsafford1854
      @wnsafford1854 Рік тому +1

      In the comedy bit beforehand, Bill was joking about why he didn't sing it. Bill does deadpan humor. Both Bill & Bobby have explained how it actually came about. They’d agreed to do 1 solo each, per album. Unchained was to be a solo & both wanted it. They famously tossed a coin & Bobby won. While nobody could have imagined the 70th recorded version would be such a huge hit, they both thought it was really good & convinced Phil Spector to release it as a single (he would only make it a B side). On the recording, Bill played piano, sang backing vocals & produced it. The single was 1st released without "producer" credit, but when it hit, Spector had subsequent labels printed claiming producer credit. Bill said, he heard Spector was so ticked that DJ's were playing it (instead of the A side, which Spector did produce), that he called radio stations, to pressure them into playing "his" side.

    • @Aurora-tp3dy
      @Aurora-tp3dy Рік тому +1

      @@wnsafford1854 A bit of correction, they didn't convince Spector to release it on the B-side of Hung on You, he just did it. He would put what he thought were throw away songs on the B-side. Just shows how much he didn't respect Bobby. And, the coin toss story from Bill came after many years of being asked why he didn't sing on that record. Guess he was frustrated or something. His earliest remarks were that it was Bobby's song. He was singing it before he joined up with Bill and he wanted to use it for his solo on that album. Bobby never mentioned a coin toss. He just he always liked it and it was in his pocket because he had sung it so often. You are right that Bill produced it; both Bill and Bobby agree on that.
