for some reason on my Genius2 I had to hold the mode button for like 7 seconds which is Force mode and then all LED's light up and then hit mode again to toggle between the various charging options. The directions don't mention having to do that when you first use the charger. The instructions state to just press the mode button to toggle between charging options, which for mine was only the case after long pressing the mode button. Once I did this the first time, it does remember the mode and then I can toggle it with a single press. But again at first I had to do the 7 second press to get it off standby mode, nothing else would do the trick. Was this how yours behaved?
Hi, no mine worked in standard mode when I first plugged it into my battery, was your battery completely drained before doing so? And yes it does have a memory mode feature, so you don't have to choose type of battery every time. From my knowledge, Force mode is only needed when battery is completely drained or very low on voltage.
That means that the voltage of your battery was too low to detect so you had to use force mode to get it going. Now that you've done this it most likely has a detectable voltage and won't need to be force charged anymore.
Ok thanks for replying, just it states that it will start on standby the first time its switched on, its not a big deal, just when the instructions tells you something and it doesn't happen that way, I've emailed them so I'll await their reply. Happy New Year 🥳
These only give you enough power to start the car or truck and that is it! Hi, this is a 2amp charger, as there are other ones they make that charge faster. But if you had a 40 ah battery, it would take about 20 hours to fully charge. So you have to find out how many amp hours your battery is and do the math. Hope that helps.
Great vid so it does all batterys at what at 70ah or what ?
Hi, I beleive the manual said it will charge batteries up to 40Amp hours, thanks for the nice words too.
@@ReviewsandTech that's great thanks
@@Cavanpikefishing You are welcome, best of luck to ya too.
Which mode then i should use for my car battery cus there 4 rifht but dont know and how long is the wait
Hi, you need to look on the battery installed on your car to see if it's a lead acid battery or an AGM battery, once you know then choose the right option on the NOCO charger. How long to fully charge your battery will depend on how low your battery is. I hope that helps you out.
great video! I got all the info I needed on this charger.
Hi there, I am glad that you did, thanks for watching and happy holidays.
Why is my red light not pulsing? Please its out of the vehicle, inside on charger 12v mode checked but red not pulsing, it's just red.
Hi, I am not too sure, checkout the manual for more info, best of luck to you.
Hi again regarding noco genius 2 is it ok to leave my charger on 24 hours a day has my charger got a maintainer .thank u for your time.
Since this is a charger and a maintainer at the same time, I have left mine charging overnight for about 24 hours without issues. Although it's best to consult your manual as it's available to download on their website for best practices. I hope that helps out.
How do you know you are in the maintain mode..does it go in maintain mode automatically after fully charged.??
Hi, from my knowledge yes it's fully automatic and goes into maintain mode when battery is charged. Read the manual to be 100% sure, thanks for watching as well.
Can i use this one for a Sealed Lead Acid battery (12 V 9Ah)
Thank you for any response
Hi, yes you can use on sealed lead acid batteries as well, thanks for watching too.
where can you identified the battery type ?
Hi, that info is usually printed on the battery itself either on the top of the front of the battery. Hope that helps.
my bros go UA-cam - are you a good person by Living Waters
Can I plug this to my car while I go on vacation? Will it keep charging the battery while the battery is connected to the car?
Hi, Yes since this is a charger and a maintainer as well. Thanks for watching
@@ReviewsandTech is it safe? It will not burn?
@@jacksongil9123 I trust this brand as they make many different chargers as well. To be 100% sure it's good plugged in for long periods, make sure you read the manual it comes with to be on the safe side, although charging at 2amps is considered a slow charger. You can probably Google for the manual to be honest and see what it says.
@@ReviewsandTech thank you boss 🙏🏽
@@jacksongil9123 You are welcome.
Hi is this charger good for a portable generator battery 12V sealed lead acid 15AH
Hi, yes it supports sealed lead acid batteries up to 40 amp hours. Thanks for watching too.
Hi. Great video Sir. I purchased the
NOCO 1. Then while waiting for it to arrive I did some more research. I Found out that the NOCO 2 was Waterproof. I want to mount it outside, plug it in and keep my AiPower GSX7100iRD
BATTERY CHARGED
so it’s ready for electric and Remote Start. Question do you know if Generator Batteries are 6v? That’s my thoughts, I’m hoping you can confirm. Is that possible? Next thing I have to see is what size is the Eyelets that you unscrew that you mentioned. I would love to unscrew them from alligator clips, mount them permanently to battery. Then I have to see size of terminals on battery.
All the best to you and channel. Mike ienuso 12:05
Hi, honestly I haven't touched any gas generators only lithium power stations so for that I would Google the model number of your unit or look in the manual to see what type of battery it has so you don't end up damaging by accident. Yes, this charger can charge 6v and 12v batteries. I am personally not a fan of alligator clips either, I think using the connectors is much easier especially with these chargers that come with a quick disconnect, although I am not sure what size the ring terminals are, but I did remove the alligator clips with an allen wrench though at a parts store. I hope this helps you out and thanks for the nice words too, best of luck to you sir.
How long does it take to charge the 12 v battery that is dead.
Hi, I haven't had to charge a dead battery yet, although I use it on lithium batteries and not lead acid batteries, and since this a slow charger it will take longer than faster rapid chargers out there, but this will give you a longer battery life cycle at the sametime. Hope that helps and thanks for watching too.
@@ReviewsandTech the battery shows that is now totally charged after 5 hours of being connected.
Thanks.
That is great, thanks for the update and happy holidays as well, cheers.
I bought those charger but still not charge becouse how you explained and what I expected totally different beocuse for me I wanna plug electric socket in my Home and when it is full then keep I'm My car an use what ever i need it but I confused it.
Hi, sorry I don't mean to confuse anyone, you can always ask a local mechanic in your area for advise too if you aren't sure on how to use, wishing you luck and thanks for watching as well.
You were looking for the Noco Boost, which is a back up battery jump starter. This 2D model is best used for keeping your battery charged when sitting for long periods, or during very cold periods which can drain a battery.
I use a Viking emergency jump box from Harbor Freight and has helped me numerous times. It will hold 100% for 3-6 months before having to recharge it.
great explanation
Hi and thank you so much, I am glad that my video has helped you out.
Take care now
Great review, thank you.
Hi, and thank you for the nice words, sorry for the late reply as well.
How do I know if I have a 12V battery or a 12Vagm battery
Hi, it's usually stated on the top or the side of the battery whether it's an acid, AGM or lithium battery. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.
My battery’s possessed. I think this is the exorcist!!! 😂 Thank you, VERY helpful!!! ✅
That is a good one, thanks for sharing too, lol.
Is this charger good for a riding lawn mower?
Hi, I don't know, most likely your battery is either a 6volt or a 12volt battery, check yours out and you will know, I hope that helps, thanks and cheers.
Nice video...Anybody have any success charging / maintaining a Large LifePo4 (200ah) Battery's with one of these ??
Hi, I believe the manual said this is limited to a 40ah battery. Thanks for your input too.
I mounted my charger right on top of my battery with 3" woodscrews.
Hi, interesting, what is between the battery and charger if you don't me mind me asking?
Should have used 5 inch lags. 3 inches is not enough. So I been told. 😂
Is it normal that my lithium battery only show 25% charge at all time? My car start fine
Is that lithium battery your primary unit or secondary? This charger does support lithium battery as I own some myself.
@@ReviewsandTech it the main battery on my car. It lithium
@@teemo988 I haven't heard of a lithium battery being installed as a main battery in a car. Not sure honestly.
@@ReviewsandTech it a Porsche
@@teemo988 I would ask a mechanic in that case, or if you bought this charger then take a good look at the manual to see what it says in regards to lithium batteries. Best of luck to you.
for some reason on my Genius2 I had to hold the mode button for like 7 seconds which is Force mode and then all LED's light up and then hit mode again to toggle between the various charging options.
How about a12v dc battery ?
Hi, yes you can charge a 12v dc battery as well as 6v batteries, thanks for watching and commenting, cheers.
Thank you!
Thanks for your support too.

Hi, my charger didn't start off in standby mode but went straight to the first 12v mode, does this mean it's been used before?
Hi, I believe that is normal, just make sure you select the right type of battery weather it's lithium or acid battery, thanks for watching.
Ok thanks for replying, just it states that it will start on standby the first time its switched on, its not a big deal, just when the instructions tells you something and it doesn't happen that way, I've emailed them so I'll await their reply. Happy New Year 🥳
Of course, glad to help, happy New Years to you as well my friend.. stay safe too..
These only give you enough power to start the car or truck and that is it! Every time i charge tje battery that is dead, it charges fast but if i shut off the car or truck i am back to having to charge it again. It doesn't fully charge a dead battery. Making it a jump starter only. I have tried three different batteries and it only gives you just enough to start that is it! Even after a 30+ minutes highway speed of 70 miles an hour didn't charge my battery fully enough to start the car again. My alternator is new so that isn't tje problem either.
This is the worst charger ever my battery was on fire
Hi, sorry to hear that, what kind of battery was it? Acid or lithium ? I hope everything is ok and I would contact the company to let them know too. Best of luck to you.
