  • In this video I will be thoroughly testing and comparing two portable solar panels by Allpowers. One is an older Polycrystalline technology whereas the newer panel is Monocrystalline.

Got a deal on the poly. So I bought that one. Haven’t hooked it up yet though. Thanks for the review. Very helpful.

The review was good and the choices are also good. It all depends on your personal taste. Thanks for the review.

I've experienced good performance with the Polycrystalline for the last year. It's time to add more so I am gonna add these Monocrystalline. Not a big fan of the snap on legs of the older model and having a lower profile will be better wind resistance.

Please add to the title that you are comparing AP-SP-033 (poli) vs AP-SP-035 old version (mono) - now they sell v3.0 front panels looks bit different 😊

I see they both have same adapters but they have difference in Maximum Power Voltage on specs because mono have 40V and 5A and poli 18V and 10A. Do you try connect laptop or something else directly for panels? I locking panel that have light weight with better quality and I can connect laptop or 12V car compressor for panels directly.

Check out a brand names mighty max. My stepfather has a 8 panel array of 100watts each Polly. He has 8 100ah deep cycle marine lead acid battery’s and a 3000w inverter. He just recently added 2 more panels,2 more batteries and upgraded to the 3k inverter(had 6 100w 6batteries and a 2k inverter) his initial set up he has had for the last 8.5 years and has not had any issues at all other than him choosing to upgrade. I followed suite and purchased 6 100w poly mighty max panels I have 2 100ah deep cycle batteries my difference being I have a combiner box(for convenience and safety) and I have a 2k pure sine wave inverter where his is just normal. Obviously our systems are not huge each are designed for our cabins and you get what you pay for with mighty max seriously. They preform outstanding they are extremly reliable and shipping is almost instant you order today they have your panels here in a couple days. We buy them from eBay try them out seriously we are almost at 10 years using them. To this video i have the all power 140 suitcase and it’s good but not as good as when I set my mighty max out with it like

This is like the perfect video for me.
I'm looking at theses and allpowers SP039 600w (mono). If i get either of SP033 (poly) or SP035 (mono) I'd be getting them x3 to match the watts of the single SP039. My concern is space. With the deal im looking at its the same price for either of the 3 options. Which would you recommend for the space and long term durability of the panels themselves?

I've only had mine for a year or so, so I couldn't tell yah! I chose poly due to the price and space isn't a concern for me. I think the mono is more compact.

Can the polycrystalline panels also be connected in series?
