    The 25 to 30w generated is the system moving charge from second battery to the main battery.

    For solar charging, wire your panels in SERIES, NOT Parallel. This gives you higher voltage, lower current so you get less loss in your cables and can run smaller (and cheaper) cables. The Delta 2 can handle Solar input voltages up to 60V. That is about 3 x 12v panels in series with a nominal max voltage of 20v per panel.

    I spoke with Ecoflow regarding this setup as I have four of these units. They recommend instead of two Delta 2 units to use a Delta 2 and a Delta 2 extra battery. As in your pairing the inverters lose a lot of efficiency. 12 volt is more efficient.

    Another Cheaper Option is to wire a 24 Volt Lithium Iron Phosphate 100ah Battery to an XT60i Cord and It will Replenish Itself at Night when No Sun is shining and extend It's use for Ya - Kettle, TV, Stereo, 12 Volt Blanket, Fan and Lights

    That’s a great setup!! I’m thinking of ordering the extended battery 🔋 now that they have a great sale on them. Is it as simple as plugging it up to my Delta 2 and does it fast charge the same?

      I’ve been running mine for about 6 months and they are great. Yes just plug in the extra battery and they will both fast charge on mains but I only use solar. It’s a shame you can only add 1 extra battery to the delta2 I wish I’d got the delta max now although it’s not as portable and heavy. If they ever get cheaper I’d buy the same again to double my power.

    Oi matey ... how did you get your main unit to 20 % and the battery to 52 % ? My unit sits at 100 % while the still new battery , one discharge ...will not go over 16% !! ...or my main unit shut off again at 100 % !
    Do you use the Eco flow app ?

    • @porscheminormechanicsrando8394
      @porscheminormechanicsrando8394  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes I do use the app. Try resetting the units. Disconnect any charging cables ie solar or mains. Push the power button and hold a sec to switch the ecoflow off then push and hold the power button for 20 seconds and the unit will turn it’s self on and off a couple of times and watch the power levels update. Hope that helps.

      Check the priority charge settings in your app these will effect how the unit or units charge.

      @@porscheminormechanicsrando8394 Thanks a bunch , that was immediate ! I'll try both recommendations ! Swell (no "pun") ! in harbour! I like your semi flex panels. I got eco flow , the 400 panel (foldable) but its just too big and bulky, twist ... throw bubbles ....etc) the small 160 panels are Ok to great !!
      Your frame looks great and usually prevents all sorts of damage !! DIY hinge excellent !!
      I used to sail dingys sail fish , laser and or phase II!
      Porsche is north of us ... or I happen to live close to Burg Hohenzollern !! Castle !! I should move back to the ocean, (maybe) !! (down of this mount)
      They sprayed too many chemtrails or we've had ridiculous floods all over !! Ridiculous flooding !
      You look dryer than many folks over here !!
      (had to laugh at the end about your Porsche statement !! ) I'm a pedestrian myself with a black dog ! I tested some rent a cars from a company that shall remain nameless ... or BMW Audi or then a new Passat ! One of the best cars i ever drove, relatively quiet or at 230km/h on Autobahn in long curves had excellent handling ! I also never drove a Porsche , to be honest !!
      Have a nice one (cheers) !

      I would have loved too but it’s just that little to big and heavier and it wouldn’t fit in the space I have in my Motorhome.

    Hallo sailor. I think you need to buy an extra 1 piece of that solar panel. Reality of solar is efficiency about 70 percent because of not ideal positioning. Even your panels have 8.17 ampers. So 2 are 16.34 and 3 are 24.51 ampers. Delta 2 is limited to 15 amps but volts are important, those can not be more like 60 V. Station can limit ampers on its own to 15 max. So 70% efficiency is for 8,17=5,72 ampers, for 16,34=11,44 and for 24,51=17,16 ampers. In your video you said that you achived maximum 290wats. So lets say 24V from solar panels mppt voltage x 12amps=288 wats. Loses from cables can be 5 watts. Anyway with 3 panels you will be like 24V x 15amps=360wats. 15 amps because of limit of delta 2. In reality inverter will gain those 17,16 ampers and will limit them to 15 ampers. So gain could be like 70 wats. 70wats by 4hours is 0,280 kw of extra power for charging. Trust me i have delta 2 i charge it with one gigant 675 wat panel and i saw maximum about 70-72% efficiency which is 472,5 watt or 486 wats. Nice trip. Good luck

      Many thanks for that information. Very interesting. I’ve done my trip and it worked out great but I did fit a new compressor fridge before I went. I ran the main delta on mains and plugged a small 4-6 amp trickle charger in to keep the leisure battery charged. After 33 hours the delta was dead but the leisure battery was at almost 80% the fridge freezer was at -18 so well pleased 😀 I’m just wondering if I’d used the 12v output instead of the mains would I have got more out of the delta? I do have the extra battery but I don’t take it away with me as I don’t really need it. Thanks again

      @@porscheminormechanicsrando8394 Can you please provide me more details about that new fridge? Direct link on product or write exact model with detailed specification. Most important IS Power needed for compresor. IT could be like 75 wat and even 780 wats for a short period of time. Temperature in fridge -18 is a waist, set it to -16. Compresor will stop each time faster. As for a DC port there are many bad stories that DC ports start to melt and burned. I personally would never use DC ports on boat for safety. But maybe I am too afraid and DC port could work just fine.

    • @ivanbenkocky3290
      @ivanbenkocky3290 3 місяці тому

      So DC vs AC. I have found battery test on UA-cam channel called : Hobotech . AC 81% so from 1024wh it has 830Wh and DC Has less 79% so from 1024 wh it has 800 Wh for use. So AC should have better efficiency then DC. Personally I do not trust reviewers, because DC port maybe does not use fans as much as AC.

      One more thing. I would suggest that you should get rid of your Delta2. Return it or sell it and buy Delta 2 Max. You will get extra 1 kw power and two xt60 ports for solar, so 1000 wat charging . Each port will have same 11V -60V and 15 ampers. Delta2 Max should also have a quiter fans according reviewers. So you can stick maybe then with 4 panels or try 6 panels. With delta2 Max version you can run laundry machine which has heating element which need 2,27 kw to heat water for a short period of time . So pure shine Wave invertor till 2400 wats and with xboost till 3400 wats. Xboost can damage senzitive electronic parts in laundry machine, because now all uses smart technologies.....

      @@porscheminormechanicsrando8394 I'd expect running the fridge on 12V will be the most efficient, as you avoid the inevitable loss due to conversion to and from 240V through the inverter.
