Tom I’ve watched a lot of u tube golf tips. I am now a believer in your methodology. Your sense of humour is infectious and that makes golf fun to learn. Guess what it works!!❤
You sir are a wizard. A week ago I went and played 18 and shot 118. Was not happy with it and dedicated the following days to watching your videos and learning. Took it to the range a few times and immediately saw improvements. Weight forward was the biggest thing for me as I used to sway and hit behind the ball. Just got back from playing 18 holes and shot a career best 97. I dropped 21 strokes in 6 days with your teachings. I cannot thank you enough for what you do. You are the best gold teacher around! If you don’t think Tom’s teachings will work on you, you’re wrong. Makes it so simple and easy to understand. Made golf so much more fun! Thank you!

@David - First of all, I sincerely appreciate your very kind words, and I'm very glad to know that your are "treasuring" my instruction!! With regard to @aguy3412, he was simply paraphrasing a Caddyshack quote from Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) in response to @johnmcgarty5663 calling me "Tim". No reference to you. Now that that's cleared up, thanks to all in this thread for the support!! And if y'all haven't already done so, please check out my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner: go.saguto.golf/ Tom/Tim 😎
Im 61 years old and got into golf last fall. Shot 72 on my first nine holes in 20 years. (Never had been any good at it.) played in my first scramble 2 weeks ago and shot a 42. Thanks to you I’m now a solid bogey golfer with lots of room to improve!

Very good video and very cool that you included your camera guy. That’s a huge affirmation of your teaching. My dad and I have been working on your school and we had an epiphany last night hitting balls. The arms are much more structured than we’re used to. Your teaching has removed a lot of garbage in our swings and we’re now hitting it crispy regularly.
Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed the video and Colden's unscripted, unanticipated golf debut!! I'm thrilled to learn of yours and your dad's "epiphany", and I sincerely appreciate your kind words regarding the online school and this body-friendly, consistent, powerful swing system for all ages!! Yes - the structure we establish at address eliminates the variables and presets us for consistent crispiness. Excellent job with that! Thanks so much for your support and keep up the fantastic work!! 💪💪 Tom

6:53 I used to be a single digit handicap golfer . Took lessons with different coaches to try and improve to get to scratch. They changed my natural swing that was similar to what you teach and my game went down the drain for years. Ever since I found your channel and applied your technique I’ve returned to shooting in the 70’s again and loving golf!!! Thanks 🙏

hands down, this has been the best golf lesson I have ever seen. I picked up the game 20 years ago and have played off and on for years. Never broke 100. too many thoughts going on in my swing. Went to the range today with what I learned here and the guy next to may came by: "Man you are bombing those shots!! What are you swinging with??" It was my 2 hybrid. going 230 based on the information I received here. Thank you for this lesson!! Happy I subscribed to your channel.
That's awesome!! 💪💪 And so we say.....Welcome to "the dark side", where the spoils of "conventional" instruction - chronic inconsistency, physical pain, and endless frustration - yield to the fruits of body-friendly enjoyment of this great game for a lifetime. 😎 I'm thrilled to have you on board!! @@SagutoGolf Thank you! I will check out the mini-course. Went out again today and had the same experience. Straight shots with all my hybrids. straight shots with my 7,9 and pw. Not much effort, no back pain. Truly a wonderful experience. You have helped me change up my swing for the better. Thank you!

Thanks again Tom. I got a 38 last week on 9 holes, finished +3. And I told another new golfer about your channel. People I get paired with have been asking for tips/lessons, and for me to join their league team. I also found a great takeaway training aid that has been helping a lot!
Awesome!! 💪💪 I sincerely appreciate the shout outs and referrals!! And isn't it nice to be "in demand"? 😎 Thanks for the fantastic progress report and keep it KFCrispy out there!! Tom

This is the best advice ever! I watched the video and thought I would give it a try. I went out to my practice pad and hit my first crispy shot in a long time. I took it to the course the next day and was hitting crispy shots all over the place. My first three shots off the tee were crispy and either on the green or right next to it. I played with my pals again today and won the round with crispy shots. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Thank you for keeping it simple and easy to understand. I'm just getting back into golf. I did what you said about staying on your front leg and started hitting the ball straight with the right distance for the club. I didn't have to swing hard at all. It finally felt good to hit with my irons!

Tom, I learn so much on your channel here and in your golf school when you teach students lessons as you did here. Even more fantastic when it’s so impromptu and unrehearsed. It would be great if you could do that every so often. Thanks for making golf fun again.

Hey Tom, I hope you are well. I've been struggling for years with my contact. After your direction, I've never had such power!!! It's been depressing and lots of lessons later,, got no where, even sold my clubs! Watching you, you got me excited again! No more breaking the clubs in half!!! Thank you miracle man! I can attest to the fact that there is merit in your method. I've done this and tend to drift away from it from time to time. When I come back to it with just these 2 thoughts - weight on front foot, left arm straight - good things happen with very little effort. Good strike, high ball, straight ball and good distance. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of this.

We play a par 56 course at Armco Park north of Cincinnati. Yes, the driver is used on only three holes! I usually shoot high 70s, low 80s. After this video, I went to the driving range once to practice and was amazed! When we went back to Armco, I shot a personal best 68 to include one birdie and the most pars I've ever had in a round! WOW, indeed!!!
That is AWESOME, Gerard!! 💪💪 Congrats on "going low" and firing your personal best!! Tom this is so awesome! Did you see all of this coming when you made your first instructional video for UA-cam? I love just reading all of the comments of the people you have helped. It’s undeniable and genuine. Has to be the best feeling in the world helping so many people
I sincerely appreciate that, Derek!! It is so rewarding to see the stories of improvement, of the reactions to those first ever crispy compressed, of new personal best scores, of folks hitting it longer now in their 50's, 60's, 70's than they did 20 years ago. It is tremendously rewarding. Did I see it coming? No - not to nearly this extent. I just knew what worked for me and changed my golfing life, and I just wanted to share that with as many folks as I could. YT offered a great forum for doing so, but at the time there was no way to anticipate the scale. Thanks so much for your very kind words and support! Tom
Tom Saguto. The man who taught me how to hit a golf ball. Over the past six months, everyone tried to change me. Tried to tell me some throwaway tip every time I topped one or sliced my driver. They thought I was a jerk for not trying their useless advice. I chose instead to stick to the system. Now I can pure it consistantly with any club in my bag, while they still struggle time after time. If I ever get the chance for a personal lesson with any coach in the world, it will be Tom Saguto. Thank You Tom.
That's awesome, Daniel! Excellent job staying the course and holding fast to the model despite all those pressures. 💪💪 Thanks for your kinds words and the superb testimonial for embracing the swing system and the process. Enjoy the consistently crispy ball striking fruits of your labor, and feel free to send those "strugglers" here if they can stomach the humiliation..... 😎 Tom
Today I had one of my best rounds. It was an executive par 28, but I shot 1 under. This achievement was totally tied to your teaching. You have the knowledge on how to make golf fun and the gift to explain it clearly. Thx Tom!

Lost my swing randomly after shooting exactly 100, couldnt get a ball off the ground to save my life and couldn't get it back for a month and a half. Found your videos and have an even better swing than before and broke 100 for the first time this weekend thanks to your videos!!! Thank you so much man
Same thing happened to me. I had my best 9 holes ever (39) then two weeks later I couldn't even get the ball off the ground. I found Tom and have been practising his technique. Funny enough I went backed i watched some videos of my swing when it was broken and noticed i had all my weight on the back foot.

Well done camera guy, and Tom I'm glad I saw this video as now and then over the years I have tried this very thing with weight starting on that leg and just keeping it there and found it helpfull, never thought about the arm now, so will put them together and see what happens, many thanks.

Another awesome video. I play on a league (9 holes) and my average has been 51 for the last 3 years, mostly due to the unavoidable bad contact iron shot on pretty much every hole. Earlier this year I finally started seeing your "weight forward" videos and have been consciously implementing that concept in my iron game. If you were to recalculate my average since the beginning of this season it would be 46. Now I just need some "driving for dummies" videos Mr. Saguto! :) Thanks again for making things make sense.
Awesome!! 💪💪 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and I'm thrilled to learn of your dramatic improvement by implementing elements of this fantastic swing system! With regard to the driver, it's essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. To demonstrate, you'll find towards the end of this episode some practice range footage of me hitting a 7 iron, 3 wood, and driver: ua-cam.com/video/o0xscMyN3v8/v-deo.html Beyond that, if you search the word "drive" on this channel you'll see some related content. After watching a few of your videos, I actually did manage to improve quite a lot my contact, great tips you have. For me it was: Put that weight on the leading leg, Be diligent with keeping left arm straight and both elbows together, slow down the back swing and prevent the hip from moving, simplify, it really works... Thanks a lot!

Had one of the most productive range sessions of my life after incorporating this. From my bad shot being a massive slice, my bad shots (which there was far fewer of) are now more draw/hook biased and more importantly I know what I do wrong to cause it (flipping hands too much), thanks so much for this

Hi Tom..this is absolutely golden ! Have used this on a recent round and striped everything off the face, including the driver. No thinning, no fat shots, no slices . Just one question sir, do you advise setting up with ball position in the same place for every club? You’re very forward with your ball here , with what looks like a 7 iron. Thanks 🙏
I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you, Dean; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play!! We first need to be aware that camera angles can greatly skew the viewer's perspective on ball position. That aside, while this system affords you some leeway, in general once my students and members show some level of proficiency with the swing I suggest that they migrate to a stock ball position that is in the middle of the stance for short irons, two balls inside the lead heel for middle irons, and creeping more forward for the longer clubs - the farthest forward being even with the inside of the lead heel for the driver (with the stance width increasing as we move from shorter to longer clubs). From there they can make incremental tweaks to see how different positions affect impact quality and shot shape. Thanks so much for sharing your improvement and keep up the great work!! My long game has been excellent this season but my very poor iron play was resulting in my scores being well above my nine handicap ( senior ). I came across your " weight forward " video and bingo !!! my GIR in my last three games improved dramatically as did my scoring ( 79, 74, 77 ) I'm starting off with the weight forward AND KEEPING IT THERE ,,, Thank you Mr. Saguto ,,,
Awesome!! 💪💪 I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play!! Got to thank you for your 2 basic lessons 1. Weight forward and staying on the left against wall and 2. Lead arn straight 3. ( though you didn't focus on it) left chin and shoulder tucked under and down on backswing and right shoulder down and through with arms straight and at a y at impact and just beyond. I did this ball after ball for nearly 300 balls and only hit 4 to 10 topped and or thin balls when I had the ball position too far fwd and didnt rotate my shouler down and through. Your tips and your work with the first time golfer amazed me causing Crispy repeatable draw after draw shots. Though I didn't use driver or 3 wood So excited to finally once and for all use your system. I am ditching all other you tube tips from other golfers who had me all over the place So appreciated Glenn

Took this to the course last weekend, contact was amazing all of the sudden I had a new problem....my irons were going further than they ever had, I was actually overshooting greens. I ended up adjusting which clubs did what, my score sucked because my contact improved and my balls were going further, just a day of learning my distance again. Thanks for the great tip

Nice job, Andrew!! With regard to the "SagutoGolf stance", weight forward 55/45 (up to 60/40 with the longer clubs), both feet flared out approximately 20 degrees with the knees similarly angled outward, arms hanging naturally from the shoulders (except for the driver, for which we push them out an inch or so to encourage more of the around-the-body motion needed for that lengthy shaft), and hands even with the inside of the lead thigh are prescribed setup features of the swing system I teach. This orientation provides for an unrestricted 45 degrees of tilted hip turn, at which point we only need to add another 45 degrees of shoulder turn for a full 90 degrees. The result is a centered, stress-free, flowing motion back and through, and a very body-friendly, consistent, powerful swing. Keep up the great work! Tom PS: By the way, since my channel's content is performing well for you, I think you will also benefit from my FREE mini course - “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” - where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner. I love the video production in this one. High quality! Looks like the "wrench" approach with the weight more heavily put on the left side then the traditional 55 to 60%. Is that correct? Also appears in the video angle that you have the ball maybe 2" or so inside the left heel. Like maybe two balls back from the left shoulder? Is that the case? Fantastic video! Thanks Tom!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Jeffrey!! In the swing system I teach we start with our weight forward (generally 55/45 for the short and mid irons, 60/40 for the longer clubs), gradually add more forward weight load into the transition (70/30), 80/20 halfway down, 90/10 impact, and 95/5 finish. There's no "weight shift"; instead, it's just a gradually increasing load onto the lead side. And the result is a centered, low-maintenance, body-friendly, consistent, and tremendously powerful swing. As for ball position, we first need to be aware that camera angles can greatly skew the viewer's perspective on ball position. Thanks! I really appreciate the well done and very thought out response Tom. So good! Ball position for the different length clubs and weight distribution in the setup for the stack and tilt system can be confusing. I will checkout your online school. Much appreciated🤙
Golfers! Tom Saguto is the bomb! If you haven't joined his school, I enthusiastically encourage you to do so. I know Tom's youtube lessons are free, but his school guides you through the process of learning all of the S&T fundamentals and building a solid S&T swing. Before I learned this swing I was a 16 handicapper, breaking 80 maybe twice a year. Now I am a 10 handicapper, and dropping, as I break 80 6-8 times a month while playing 2-3 times a week. I'm 72 years old and play courses from 5500 to 6200 yards long. Since learning S&T I rarely hit a fat shot, it's just almost impossible to do if you understand and apply the S&T fundamentals. Tom's school is worth every penny he charges for the course, especially if you are a golfer that plays with a little something on the line.
I'm most grateful for your kind words and testimonial regarding the online school, Ron, and I'm thrilled for your continued improvement!! I did my best to price the school at a "no-brainer" level given the quality and effectiveness of the delivered product, and I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to "shout it from the rooftop". Thanks again for your support and keep up the great work!! 💪💪 Tom
Took this to the range and it worked very well! This coupled with keeping right arm (trail arm) tucked, lead arm straight and pivoting shoulders had me hitting very nice shots! Question: ball placement. Where do you place it in your stance? It almost looks like it is in line with your lead heel. I dont know if that is just my perception from the camera angle. I think I've seen in another one of your videos placing it a club head from your lead and then moving your trail closer or furthet dependent on the club.
I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing! Great video thanks. One question - is your ball as far forward in your stance as it looks, or is that camera angle? It looks like it's just inside your front heel like a driver position. Just wondering if to try this properly I should also be having the ball further forward, or still roughly middle of stance.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Stuart! You are correct in that we do need to be aware that camera angles can greatly skew the viewer's perspective on ball position. Tom your the best !! i do everything you say .......BUT i still have a tendency to get handsy at the bottom which of course causes a hook !!...i find it difficult to keep it all straight thru impact ..

Hey Tom, I’m having great success at the range with Stack and Tilt. Question: do you have students to struggle repeating it on the course? I believe my problem is that I see the trouble ahead of me and fail to make a deep enough backswing and/or rush the downswing, causing slices, vs on the range it’s crispy KFC. Appreciate your generous and thoughtful responses as always!
I'm glad to learn of your improvement, Paul! Those "ghosts of swings past" can be quite stubborn, and conquering them through regular proper practice is a part of the process. As your practice performance becomes more and more consistent and you ingrain your new "feels", then it's just a function of time in terms of when/how that will translate itself to the pressures and challenges of actual play. As confidence in your swing grows you should find more and more that you are playing "golf" instead of "golf swing" on the course, at which point your mechanical thoughts will be reduced to one or two at the most, and you will be nearly entirely focused on your target and not your swing. By the way, if you'd really like to get on the fast track towards properly learning this S&T swing system in a comprehensive, structured, sequential platform, please consider my online school. Have you joined yet? It is far superior to haphazardly piecing things together through a series of YT videos. Hi Linda, Yes - it is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. To demonstrate, you'll find towards the end of this episode some practice range footage of me hitting a 7 iron, 3 wood, and driver: ua-cam.com/video/o0xscMyN3v8/v-deo.html While I didn't have any hybrids with me, rest assured that it works for them as well. Perfect timing! I just sweat my arse off at the range and took video of my swing. I was getting very little to no bump forward. I used to start with weight forward, for some reason, I went away from it. Thanks Tom the Bomb!

Tom, despite starting with ur weight forward, it still seems (to me, from the slo mo swings) that u still start the downswing by bumping ur hips forward. Therefore, shifting weight even MORE forward by point of contact. Is this correct? Thx in advance.

Hi Tom, thank you very much for the video! Very interesting! And what I like, is that you taught this guy a lesson! I think THIS is the way for a new TEACHING videos! ALL of the golf videos just show the golf pro hitting balls! Of cause we know, you CAN play golf as a pro! So its a absolutely GREAT idea, to embedding guys and girls to the videos and show the viewers HOW to appliance your swing ideas! 😃😀👍👍👍
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!! It was actually a completely spontaneous moment that neither Colden nor I had pre-planned - as you could likely tell from his wardrobe choices 😆 - but he did fabulously well, right? - and especially for a true beginner!! I've featured others in past videos and will continue to do so when the opportunity arises. Thanks!! Yes - it is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences - including a more forward ball position as you surmised - and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. Upon learning this swing properly you will be harnessing the tremendous power source known as "angular momentum". This is the reason my students and online school members of all age ranges end up bombing it farther than they ever had previously, and I'm happy to let their unsolicited testimonials tell the story: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. Tom

6:14 Could you explain why you put the ball in line with your left heel on the stance? I thought this was exclusively for driver's stance. Does it have something to do with the left weight shifting?
Hi Vincent, We first need to be aware that camera angles can greatly skew the viewer's perspective on ball position. Now, as for "weight shifting", this notion has led many an amateur golfer into the vast abyss of chronic inconsistency and frustration. In fact, here is Jack Nicklaus on weight shift: "I don't believe in a lateral shift," says Nicklaus. "Of course not. I believe in staying on the ball." Asked what he thinks about teachers who advocate a weight shift, he answers, "They don't know how to play." Now, there is certainly an allowance for a transfer of “pressure” into the trail side. After all, we are moving the mass of the arms and club back and around us during the takeaway and backswing. Some like to sense the dynamic pressure shifts; others prefer the feel of a gradual increasing of weight load into the lead leg from the start. However, in either scenario the key here is that we do not allow our mass - and thus our swing center and low point - to drift back at any point. In the swing I teach we start with our weight forward (generally 55/45 for the short and mid irons, 60/40 for the longer clubs), gradually add more forward weight load into the transition (70/30), 80/20 halfway down, 90/10 impact, and 95/5 finish. There's no "weight shift"; instead, it's just a gradually increasing load onto the lead side. And the result is a centered, low-maintenance, body-friendly, consistent, and tremendously powerful motion. While there are certainly plenty of other videos on my channel that address this topic, a more structured option would be my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Keys You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker”: go.saguto.golf/ Featuring 17 videos and 45 minutes of detailed lesson and drill content, this is a great way to gain a fundamental understanding of this system as well as an introduction to the formal learning method that has countless thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - now enjoying the best golf of their lives: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews Tom Saguto, PGA
@@SagutoGolf Wow I wasn't execpting such a long answer, if any answer at all! You clearly love to teach and I thank you for that. Your explanation for the ball position is crystal clear and this is what I do also but I thought you were playing a 8 or 7 iron on the video, that's why I was surprised by the ball position. About weight shifting, sorry I was not clear enough (I'm French, English is not my primary language), I was not meaning shifting weight from right to left during the swing, I was talking about the fact that you recommend to put 90 % of the weight on the left leg, which is a "shift" compare to what we usually hear. Thank you again Tom for these explanations and for all your video, they are fun to watch and useful to apply.

Was taught this soooo many years ago, especially the 'lead arm only' drill for ball contact, yet over the past couple of years the dreaded 'bent lead arm' has crept back in.. Forget about all the other drills for stopping slice, hook, rotation etc, this drill is sound and will get you to understand consistent contact.

These videos are great. I’ve been looking through all the videos on your channel trying to find one that describes what you mean and what you don’t mean when you talk about getting the weight forward. Like a description of how best to get forward without over doing it since it’s central to all of your other tips. If that video doesn’t exist yet it would be great topic for future video.
Hi Matthew, You address the ball stacked shoulders over hips over knees with your weight balanced 50/50. Then simply bump your hips 1" towards the target while keeping everything else in place. That presets a little more weight forward while retaining the stacked relationship. Having said that, it appears as though the level of detail you seek is best found in the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of my online school, and it will make for a far more efficient and enjoyable learning process rather than haphazardly trying to piece things together through these channel videos that jump around randomly from topic to topic. Good morning Tom-What a hoot! That should make believers out of your "easy" instruction. Ya gotta love it. Know you have both feet splayed but the left especially so-maybe 30-35 degrees. Am I seeing this correctly? And in the transfer forward how much weight is on your left heel? Be good-Russ

Absolutely 100% on board with this approach for irons. Weight forward, ground contact point in front of the ball. However this is not the case with driver as the contact point should be behind the ball as its on a tee and to get an upward strike. Videos i have seen in the past of Tom's have said there is no difference between the two shots but id like to know if he still thinks this is the case? This point has been driving me mad. I know a lot of pros are at 0 or slightly less for angle of attack with driver but im not a pro and lose distance with my 100mph driver swing if i dont hit up on it. Perhaps a video detailing how to get the most out of the driver for those non-pros amongst us. Swinging driver at 120 vs 100 (or less) makes a big difference. Great content as always Tom, really enjoyed this one.
I'm glad you enjoyed this video, Jim! Yes - Weight-forward also applies to the driver. In fact, it is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. I am aware that many folks out there believe - and some even teach - that we must try to "hit up on the ball" with the driver. However, consider that in our stock setup with the driver the hands are even with the inside of the lead thigh (as they are with all clubs when playing a standard shot) and our ball position is even with the inside of the heel of the lead foot. This presets a very slight degree of forward shaft lean with the driver. Beyond that, the ball is behind the zero-point of the swing (which is even with the lead shoulder), meaning that without any contrived manipulations the club will still be on its descent - albeit very close to flat - at impact. So, perhaps with the exception of folks with slower swing speeds - or those Long Drive participants teeing it extra high and hitting maybe 1-2 balls out of 10 onto a 60-yard wide "fairway" - in general the path is still ever so slightly down. In fact, the PGA Tour average with the driver is actually minus (e.g.: downward) 1.5 degrees - nearly level - and it should feel level - but slightly down nonetheless. (Here is an article on Ping’s website addressing this topic - ping.com/en-us/blogs/proving-grounds/optimal-launch-and-spin#:~:text=According%20to%20Trackman%2C%20PGA%20Tour,85%25%20ball%2Dflight%20laws ) For these reasons I do not advocate trying to hit up on the ball, and efforts to do so due to erroneous advice has caused many an amateur significant issues with their driver. You are the best gold teacher around! hands down, this has been the best golf lesson I have ever seen. I picked up the game 20 years ago and have played off and on for years. Never broke 100. too many thoughts going on in my swing. Went to the range today with what I learned here and the guy next to may came by: "Man you are bombing those shots!! What are you swinging with??" @@SagutoGolf Thank you! I will check out the mini-course. Went out again today and had the same experience. Straight shots with all my hybrids. straight shots with my 7,9 and pw. Not much effort, no back pain. Truly a wonderful experience. You have helped me change up my swing for the better. Thank you!
Thanks!

Thanks again Tom. I got a 38 last week on 9 holes, finished +3. And I told another new golfer about your channel. People I get paired with have been asking for tips/lessons, and for me to join their league team. I also found a great takeaway training aid that has been helping a lot!
Awesome!! 💪💪
I sincerely appreciate the shout outs and referrals!! And isn't it nice to be "in demand"? 😎
Thanks for the fantastic progress report and keep it KFCrispy out there!!

That's awesome, David!! 💪💪

My pleasure! I'm glad to know that my instruction for this fabulous swing system is performing well for you,

Thanks for your kinds words and the superb testimonial for embracing the swing system and the process. Enjoy the consistently crispy ball striking fruits of your labor, and feel free to send those "strugglers" here if they can stomach the humiliation..... 😎

Saguto ,,,

Though I didn't use driver or 3 wood
So excited to finally once and for all use your system.
I am ditching all other you tube tips from other golfers who had me all over the place
So appreciated

Took this to the course last weekend, contact was amazing all of the sudden I had a new problem....my irons were going further than they ever had, I was actually overshooting greens. I ended up adjusting which clubs did what, my score sucked because my contact improved and my balls were going further, just a day of learning my distance again. Thanks for the great tip

I tried this today at the range and hit the best 6 iron shot I have ever hit, I’m now working on the SagutoGolf stance😊

Thanks!

It all begins with a proper setup which provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built.

What about hybrids? Will this work with them as well? I just got new ones and I’m trying to do them like my irons.
Hi Linda,
Yes - it is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods.

Tom, despite starting with ur weight forward, it still seems (to me, from the slo mo swings) that u still start the downswing by bumping ur hips forward. Therefore, shifting weight even MORE forward by point of contact. Is this correct? Thx in advance.

6:14 Could you explain why you put the ball in line with your left heel on the stance? I thought this was exclusively for driver's stance. Does it have something to do with the left weight shifting?
Hi Vincent,
We first need to be aware that camera angles can greatly skew the viewer's perspective on ball position.

Thanks for the great concepts and simplification on thoughts.

Hi Matthew,
You address the ball stacked shoulders over hips over knees with your weight balanced 50/50. Then simply bump your hips 1" towards the target while keeping everything else in place. That presets a little more weight forward while retaining the stacked relationship.

(Here is an article on Ping’s website addressing this topic - ping.com/en-us/blogs/proving-grounds/optimal-launch-and-spin#:~:text=According%20to%20Trackman%2C%20PGA%20Tour,85%25%20ball%2Dflight%20laws )
For these reasons I do not advocate trying to hit up on the ball, and efforts to do so due to erroneous advice has caused many an amateur significant issues with their driver.
This is a great drill - thank you. One question: how do you then incorporate/transition this into your normal full swing?
I'm glad you enjoyed it, David!
We build in the weight forward and lead arms straight components by exaggerating them as we work through the drill. We then incorporate those same feels from the drill into our "normal" motion.
