I do think it will be great one day, in a year or 2 at least. But they shot themselves in the foot with this.
I've played 5 hours but they were 5 boring ass hours of disappointment. Tell me, have you ever been bored in a Tarkov raid? Not menu but in a raid. The stakes are completely gone in GZW. They have a ton to fix for any real enjoyment.

Tarkov was pretty rough at the start and had more aggressive pricing, so I am not to worried. It is funny seeing all the people who dropped 150 on tarkov back in 2017 shitting on this game though.
I've dropped enough on Tarkov to have EoD over the years (a couple upgrades) and I hope this game does well. Looks like this is trying to have more of an operator feel to it where you do actual objectives, rather than just a rat scurrying around for scraps and getting shot by campers/hackers. Definitely a place for a game like this.

I so far have enjoyed Gray Zone. A lot does need to be worked on, but from my understanding, it’s in better condition than Tarkov in alpha. The devs also seem really competent which is refreshing

The game is worth $35 right now, a review should be about what you're getting for your money right now. Promises aren't with a dime, you don't know how good it can get or not get in the future. The only way to review a product is to judge it for what it is right now, compared to the competition.
So why the hell would you want to buy an unfinished mees that costs 35 dollars? Do you go to Mcdonalds and ask for a half eaten Big Mac at full price?

I played Tarkov before. I have bought it. And honestly, I enjoy this game more. It feels less serious and I actually don't shit myself while playing it. Also the map makes it less tense and easier to understand the game. Simply I have more fun in GZW than in Tarkov - I'm also sure that this game gets more updates and soon enough it won't be ARK 2.0.
First vid I've ever watched on this channel, will be my last ever. 10 mins of nothing of complaining about a game that's been out to the world for less than 24 hours. Grow up.
Game is phenomenal. People need patience, tinker with your settings and sink your teeth in for a few hours before you decide. Took me and the crew about 3 hours before we “got it”. Now it’s all we want to play and that’s how it will be for a while.

Game runs at 50fps on a monster rig literally unplayable
It's better now. I get like 120FPS now. The only problem is servers, they're horrible. But mostly It's quite playable. Well yeah it has bugs, but I'm sure it will get better soon. I look forward to that time.
@@shadow_._conqueror I've been on the fence about it due to it having pve, but I'm only ever on for weekends, does it have matchmaking for pve content or is it like desinty 2 raids where I need people I know or need to invite people?
@@Blank55600 Game loads you into a server with 48 other people, you choose between PVEVP and PVE. If you're looking for instant action most of your early missions will be in your starting area so no PVP till later unless you're looking for it.
So in a 4 hour experience. Turn on Vsync and low graphics game looks decent and has a stable 60-80 fps for me (3080) and a buddy(3070).
Gunplay is solid, not amazing but it has a great foundation.
When you join in it is a 16v16v16 and if you opt in for pvp you will have to finish the beginning missions with most telling you where to go in the descriptions.
AI feels good to fight most of the time unless you treat them like tarkov scavs as in this they become more accurate close range where in tarkov they are shit at aiming at all times.
You need to squad up in menu to load in with friends or you need to invite people in the field, the game has a decent community so far from my experience.
@@Blank55600it has a matchmaking, I play solo. For PvP I would advise bringing some friends tho (i've got none so I play PvE 😞😞😂). Bots are somehow fine, but still they ARE able to headshot you. Trust me, sometimes when they're not blind and stupid, It's a bit challenging. Also with first ammo you'll struggle to kill someone. Mainly that glock 💀 It's like a nerf pistol 😭 if you plan to buy that game, first of all buy FMJ ammo for your M4, before heading into battle.
Ironic that a lot of the issues you have with this game is issues Tarkov has. I'm until recently it didn't even have vaulting even worse. The only thing that tar call has over this game now is content aside from minor fixes lol
Does this beat SP Tarkov? Because I'm enjoying that for what its worth but to have an official tactical extraction looter shooter without the sweaty tryhards sounds amazing not gonna lie.

Just a heads up for anyone reading. Tarkov is almost impossible to start as a new player these days (unless you want to dedicate your whole life to playing it). I think the learning curve has grown too much, it's just overwhelming. You pretty much only face cheaters or sweats late in wipes. Without thorough map knowledge and good ammo, you're just fucked in PvP encounters. And new wipes are just an endless rat race to finish the quests and level up as fast as possible. (I've seen people hit level 40 in like 3 days). I think there is a good game somewhere buried under tons and tons of BS, but I don't think it's worth playing anymore. And who actually wants to support BSG after the drama.
You can’t do a review on the game if you’ve only played 90 minutes of it 🤣☠️you haven’t even got out of the first town which is where the fun begins. AI’s get harder, you get hella pvp and you find better loot and harder quests

The editing on this one felt really weird, chief; the repetition of scenes left me chronologically confused. It was hard to determine what order you experienced the game to give me an accurate assessment of your live takes. Putting the final words at the beginning while showing clips of what you're talking about, then jumping to the reviews (before your first time playing, I think?) then back to the same clips of what you talked about at the beginning. Still enjoyable overall, just not my favorite.

First vid of your I've seen. Looks like a super consumerist take that doesn't support indie works in progress. You prolly love Tarkov bc people like me who bought EOD years ago to support continued development kept it afloat till you thought it was 'good enough' to play. Tarkov bridge is fully burned but investing $35 in an indie tac shooter is worth it while we live in this hellscape ruled by mega corp gaming suits making our AAA decisions. Dev seems good too, lets see if they go full BSG, not getting more than $35 from me.

The ai needs work, it seems like they are in a walking around state, and when you shoot them they snap into like a reaction state, some times it noticeable where it looks like a statue that jolts into being alive.
You gotta play more and go to some of the other towns the AI is completely different

This game in its current state was very rushed out. It’s literally a $35 PRE-Alpha. They tried to capitalize on Tarkovs horrible mistake for their own promotion and sales so they rushed out the release date. This could either be an amazing 200IQ decision or it could be them digging their own grave releasing a PRE-Alpha game. 🤷🏻♂️
Any review of a game that has to be compared to another game and saying that other game 30 times within 4 sentences, is immediately a bad review and something you shouldn’t listen to. It’s like buying a Silverado and the salesman saying “well it’s not a f-150” 17 times. It’s stupid and doesn’t base the review on ANY of its own merits or downfalls. Game's been in development for quite a while, but they decided to release it early, when it wasn't ready at all, rather than wait because they wanted that Tarkov money and community I'd guess.
@@Variapolis They had a closed beta a month ago.... This was a planned release they delayed to start now and it is in better condition than Tarkov on release. Also, early access is meant for beta testing.

As the modern internet became more common, DLC became the norm... and thus the rise of mico transactions and rushed products started and as the econemy gets worse, so does the quality, rushing and prices get worse. Dare I say the obsession over high end graphics/physics isnt helping production speed or release quality.

It's a C-Clamp grip and it's usually preferred to the more well-known ways to hold rifles, especially since it gives you leverage over moving the barrel. I've got a stubby grip on my airsoft M4 and use the same stance as I use the stubby grip more like a hand-stop rather than a full grip.

@@carpelunam But I played at the very start and still had 90 FPS, even tho I have a gtx1080 era PC. But the game isnt just unplayable for me right now, it isnt even testable. I want to try to wait a few days or more before trying again. It has been rough and the handgun animation doesnt look like an alpha issue, it looks like a ignorant and deliberate decision, am I wrong about that?

If you want to compare it with Tarkov, just look at the Tarkov on release, not now after 8 years of patching and updates, and you will see that there wasn’t healing animations, interface was almost the same for example , and so on. My opinion, wait at least 1 month, and see what developers will do with all this. I don’t protect the game, just want to be fair, it is 1 day after release in alfa (too soon in my opinion, I thought it will be few months later) but now, it is what it is.

Also, Tarky is also in a terrible state then, look at the net code issues at the beginning of every wipe where you don't know if someone is desynced or hacking, the sheer lack of optimization that made streets unplayable for most of the population. If Tarky and this game were released at the same time, meaning back in the day when tarkov began beta/alpha 8 years ago, this game would be considered to be running in better condition with mechanics, animations and such. I'm not saying don't be critical, just be fair in your criticisms.

The point of "Early Access" is that it's _supposed_ to be a beta game in a good state with the potential to get better.
The problem is Gray Zone is in a bad state with the potential to become good and Tarkov is in a good state currently going bad.
Neither I would say are currently performing what an Early Access game should do.
Dude come on its a betas - early, playable, but incomplete versions of a game. You bout it for like 28 quid, it would be 50 to 60 quid if complete, I dont understand your logic of shitting on it? Its worth money because it is in a better state than Tarkov(at initial release) Tarkov now is after 8 years of work and they still can't fix issues that have been around since forever and often the community are the ones figuring out bugs and telling BSG how to fix them. As someone who has played both, this game feels better to play, it in Early access and the devs have even stated they are using this Alpha to fix the game. Tarkov has been in production for almost a decade and still releases broken messes. Look at the recent shit show the CEO has caused now and all the times before.
