My biggest complaints -The AI can be very tanky with body shots even when unarmored (Five shells of buckshot and a full Glock mag To kill one low tier enemy with body shots from 15ft away) -Severe frame drops -DLSS makes performance much worse than FSR -Not being able to make a character for each faction locks you out of playing with friends -something about the graphics makes the game very difficult to look at. At times it can be difficult to tell an enemy apart from and buildings from a distance -there is no way to rebind your voice chat key, which is Z for those of you that don't know because the game doesn't tell you, your voice chat is proximity based and radio based at the same time. I would much prefer to have a separate button specifically for speaking with my squad mates
9mm and Shotgun rounds are underperforming at the moment. The devs have said they're working on fixing it (fingers crossed) but they're massive underperformers compared to every other type of ammo in the game, provided you're not trying to use soft point ammo against high level armor, et cetera.
Looks like a pretty cool game. Something I think would be worth adding if they could do it is enemy patrols (although that might be too challenging for devs). It seems that all the AI enemies you run across are just hanging out in one spot until they get agro'd. But in the real world, enemy soldiers in addition to guards, will perform short patrols in their controlled area. So that would eliminate to a degree, players trying to camp and wait for other players when there is a higher chance that they'll be caught by the AI.
I usually don't, but I'm going to buy the supporter addition. This decision is largely based on how much i like the bones and concept of this game...but MAINLY due to the devs. Their approach to community feedback, openness, and apparent aptitude to tackle issues ..just makes me want to support them. I hope it doesn't backfire on me, but i have a strong feeling that it wont
They have been very transparent so far which is great to see, and the comms on X have been a breath of fresh air. its like how helldivers has been going it feels. But tomorrow will learn more

I feel as if COD when they came out with MW2020 they were trying to go for something like this. What I mean is being a little more realistic. This one here Gray Zone is fucking amazing. COD who?!?!
I still appreciate some of the things like instant packing mags, but appreciate that there is actual mags you have to manage with ammo and have to pack for example
I use to play Arma 3 with orgs, played serious Milsim roleplay. Good to see some games more like this, that's more approachable and light weight Mil sim.
The foliage gives me Crysis flashbacks, nevertheless, this has potential, but I had this thought about other new games that went down the drain within half a year.
my suggestion for the spotting out different factions and from friends and fow, i reckon they should use armbands, for example if ur in a party with friends, you will have two armbands a colour that just you and ur friends have and a colour that just ur faction has, i think thats a nice way to tell the difference from friends and different factions
This definitely feels like it was aimed more at the Arma/Dayz mil-sim crowd than anything like CoD or Battlefield. I'm probably gonna wait a while, let the game develop a little more, before I play it. I will say though, the concept of an extraction shooter with a persistent world rather than timed rounds, is a great idea and I'm very excited to see where this title will go! 😁👍
That DMZ comment at the end was exactly right. I wish they would have continued to improve upon it. COD is just to big to try new things that don’t immediately make money unfortunately.

Should be able to select and fast rope from heli. Also lots of roads and trails to set a waypoint for armored transports I know the little player markers for teammates take away from realism but should still be an option. Or at least arm bands or glow sticks or something to stop all the team killing
It may seem dumb, but to me the persistent map concept coupled with the proximity chat and beautiful graphics really sells it. Also Tarkov is too hardcore for me. Gray Zone Warfare looks more friendly, even if it's still a realistic military-sim game.
Tarkov is the same way with task progression. Iv had to go back to catch people up and iv had buddies come back to help me. Idk if there is a good way to fix that. Maybe they could put a "join task on teamate" in the game and you could get extra rewards for helping people. Atleast that way it wouldn't feel useless
They should add safe zones once a chopper is called in where you can be killed by enemies, but not by members of your own faction. Either that, or penalties that increase in severity every time you kill a friendly.
People keep comparing this to tarkov but it looks like a custom dayz server to me. Which isn't a bad thing because dayz is clunky af despite how fun a good server is.

Grafiknya ya lumayan, Boleh lah dicoba walaupun masih kalah jauh sama game fps lain seperti call of duty, far cry, tom clancy. Di steam juga murah, kalau mau nyoba atau iseng beli buat koleksi kayaknya bagus atau sekedar main buat main bareng teman bagus juga.
@@MicDubTV I don’t know internals very well, but let’s just say it only just plays sea of thieves at medium, I tried to install Tarkov like 9 wipes ago and it struggled with that
@@TrueNubinator Tarkov is known for being horribly optimized because the devs never organized the netcode and engine. From what i've heard about the development of this game, you should be able to run it on low or medium settings. I have a 3060ti and a r5 5700x and i barely get 60 frames in tarkov.
This game looks gorgeous, the concept is great, but it doesn't LOOK hyper-realistic imo. Seems like a lot of sponging going on with people eating 5-6 bullets. I have yet to play so I can't know for sure until then, but this is just something I've noticed is various gameplay videos. I am excited to try it out, though!
The last day of the early playtest apparently they fixed the ai tanking tons of bullets. But was a point I made in the vid that sometimes it took 3 headshots, I believe it was a bug. But I also don’t know ammo types and armor and such yet
Played early access, it is promising but it was so buggy... to be expected on day one I guess. My other BIG issue with the game is friendly fire. Either completely remove it, or severely punish it. I got downed 3 times in the first hour, I can imagine that trolls will be all over this. The Devs should find a way to severely discourage friendly fire.
I think its ok for an EA title. my issue is with the tiered P2W stash mechanics. with no way to earn stash in game until EA is completely over all editions over the cheaper standard edition with have clear advantages. I know they need to make money to make the game etc. but theres many other ways to do this than paywalling your entry point.
Is there no way to earn it? Definitely annoying but I also don’t know how venders work. If u can confirm to cash well and buy what u need than I don’t think it’s too concerning. But I also don’t know the size differences yet
@@StoneMountain64 yeah, that CEO guy confirmed it on twitter. the lock box is different, you can get other ones through quests i think? but they wont be adding earnable stash space until after EA is over. so your locked in by the edition you buy.
wish they'd make something like BFBC2 and not another hyper realistic shooter which there are many on PC by now and not many play them to be frank. BFBC2 had a nice balance between arcade and sim.. even going back to bf2042 portal mode the difference is pretty substantial and i honestly miss how much slower the older BF games used to be with the added recoil etc. to me this game also shows what's to come for shooters because this game doesn't really do anything special other than being a UE5 tech demo. it's literally just an open world that uses all of the UE5 features that make this possible and as far as i know even a teenager could achieve this and sure i am exaggerating a bit.
ill be on at 9am.. probably just pve at first to get used to it but cant wait.. after a tarkov player with EOD i uninstalled because of there BS business tactics.. rather give gray zone a chance..
@@StoneMountain64 very zen tbh, this game is just not for me and many more out there I'm sure. As the Dr.Disrespect says when he streams EFT he loses 80% of his viewership.

@@54prestoYou can walk back if you choose! You can also jump from 1 LZ to another, you don’t have to go back to base every single time if you don’t want to.
The stiffness of the player model and how it holds the gun is off-putting. $35 for an Early Access game where the chances it will be dead in a few months is too much.
lol don’t cry about that. Learn mouse and keyboard and laugh at yourself for taking so long to do so. After a few weeks you will be dialed in and a controller will feel like shit.
There’s a couple of really easy tips you need to do. Get a large mouse pad and dial in your sensitivity. I got free aim Lab to practice. I also found that for me, I set my sensitivity up so a flick of the wrist in either direction is a 180 and I keep that standard throughout all games.

thanks a lot for this review. You've just saved me a lot of time. The graphics and realism are appealing, but I so hate these slow, boring and time intensive games (not a COD fan either...) as casual gamer. what a pity.
Ya, early access and slow gameplay means u will need a LOT of patience 😅
More of this game please
The play space looks like it will become monotonous very quickly, they need more biomes.
As a DayZ fan that wished Tarkov took more from DayZ, this looks like my kind of game.
Enjoyed the video. Thank you
I was excited to get this game but decided not to after hearing it doesn't have any vehicles and it takes so long to move around by walking
its an extraction shooter not COD
Yes I should buy this game , we all should buy it 😅 !!!!
Not back for $35 entry price
I want to know what StoneMountain is playing on because his game look so good.
How would frame gen make ur graphics better? It just gives u input lag lmao
Dude sounded like JackFrags in the bush
I hope the weapons and Gear isnt Gatekeeped as in Tarkov, where you have to Spend Hourse just to get a good gun and in hope it is Balanced not like Tarkov where you litterly encounter a dude with Max Gear while you are LVL 1 and cant even kill him if you put your whole Pistol Ammo in his Head
Grafiknya ya lumayan, Boleh lah dicoba walaupun masih kalah jauh sama game fps lain seperti call of duty, far cry, tom clancy. Di steam juga murah, kalau mau nyoba atau iseng beli buat koleksi kayaknya bagus atau sekedar main buat main bareng teman bagus juga.
Ugh, Potato PC cries at that
Define your potato!
I have a 3060ti and a r5 5700x and i barely get 60 frames in tarkov.
ya idk how lower end comps will run this
@@StoneMountain64 how will a 4070ti run it on 1440p do u no ?
scum survival has also conditioned me for the endless running and no map navigation
dayz player here! i can run for hours!
@@StoneMountain64 Oh, good to know!
This game requires real world knowledge.
"Running somewhere with no hope of escape." It's alright i play Dayz.
That part bro, that part 😂
this is what im waiting for
wish they'd make something like BFBC2 and not another hyper realistic shooter which there are many on PC by now and not many play them to be frank.
The fact this game is peaking with just a few hundred players a day on Steam is really worrying for anyone thinking of buying.
yes the answer is yes
ill be on at 9am.. probably just pve at first to get used to it but cant wait.. after a tarkov player with EOD i uninstalled because of there BS business tactics.. rather give gray zone a chance..
I think I just gonna still see if the player counts dropping after a month or two.
Can i play this single player? Or is it like helldivers 2 that is more fun with friends/ very hard to do if single player?
Yes but on single player it feels more like forza horizon 5
I hear watching paint dry is fun too.
depends your current state of mind
@@StoneMountain64 very zen tbh, this game is just not for me and many more out there I'm sure. Games like EFT and Gray Zone are not for the general viewing audience, very niche and I'm sure after a month or two you'd see the viewership of this content drop off. As the Dr.Disrespect says when he streams EFT he loses 80% of his viewership.
So my question is. if it's a nonstop server. How long does it take for AI to respawn after killing them?
Seems like about 15-30 min. But didn’t seem to spawn if we were still in the area. Had 1 game where we killed our way to hotel, and on the way back ai was back in that area but didn’t spawn on us
@@StoneMountain64 ok cool. one last question. Do you have to exfil on the chopper or can you just walk all the way back to base camp? If you wanted to that is
@@54prestoYou can walk back if you choose! You can also jump from 1 LZ to another, you don’t have to go back to base every single time if you don’t want to.
Can i compare this with DMZ from COD Mw2? If so. I am buying this
Seems like all we get are alphas and betas these days 😅😅
It’s looks so promising 🤞
Let’s hope
I think if you’re team killed you should respawn at base with all your gear
But if its accidental frag or something, that would suck. Differentiating the true accident vs not is tough tho, especially with randoms
@@StoneMountain64 I can see that being exploited as well if a team is losing a fight and they kill each other to prevent losing their gear
The stiffness of the player model and how it holds the gun is off-putting. $35 for an Early Access game where the chances it will be dead in a few months is too much.
Thanks for the video, nice review, ..
It reaffirms Arma 4 is the way to go, ..
Reforger still buggy but is enjoyable, ..!!
Time to learn mouse and keyboard 😢
lol don’t cry about that. Learn mouse and keyboard and laugh at yourself for taking so long to do so. After a few weeks you will be dialed in and a controller will feel like shit.
I agree with buddy here^, once you dive into WASD you’re gonna wonder why it took this long.
Ok aim assist casual
There’s a couple of really easy tips you need to do. Get a large mouse pad and dial in your sensitivity. I got free aim Lab to practice. I also found that for me, I set my sensitivity up so a flick of the wrist in either direction is a 180 and I keep that standard throughout all games.
I just switched from console bro mouse and key bored is much better. Definitely learn it
I see what you did there with talking about tarkov. “ I barely escaped it myself” great play on words
hey stonemountain64, long time no see (for whatever reason), miss your video in BF3 days!
Welcome back 👋
