@pmpworx7331 would you upload online a how to for making the engine and transmission mounts. A volvo 240/242 is a dream project I've wanted to do for a couple years now. But designing mounts is a big weakness in my technical ability
The general method of making mounts was applied here. Hover the engine in position, cut cardboard templates, and weld up some metal material to each end.
how difficult was the process? my aunt gave me her 1989 240 sedan that needs a new engine and i wanted to k swap it thinking it be better. i already have a k24a2 that i was gonna do on my rsx but i built my engine instead. any input would be amazing. love your car
Yeah for sure. The car is lowered. Believe it or not, the stock exhaust was basically the same. You have to go under the rear axle. Can’t go above and it’s a 3 inch pipe. But it’s not scraping, yet 🤣
@@pmpworx7331 definitly looks like it could melt the bumper too haha, the rear is a easy fix though if it starts scraping on the ground on launches. Credit where its due too, that is a clean volvo you got there.
Stock brakes work just fine so far. Suspension has ipd thicker sway bars front and rear. And front has cut springs. Rear springs were changed to the heavy duty style.
volvo K240........love it, sick build!!!
@PMPWORX You Just made a turbo without showing us?! THE AUDACITY... Car looks good man honestly on of my fav ricks on the internet right now.
Ohhh man that sounds sooo mean!!! I love it!
Great build, sounds & looks great!
Very impressive
Didn't expect to see a turbo on it so soon. Everything looks great, other than the tips. That's just my opinion though.
SICK BUILD!
Wow , respect
Wow , job well done bro , imma pull up my scatpack for some turbo upgrade 😇
This is sickkkkk bro
All your videos need way more attention. Its so damn cool.
Have you reconsidered uploading or even charging for rwd mount design?
Not sure if I understand your question? Please explain.

i am thinking of putting a k20 engine in my s70 1998 you think it would be hard or even possible?
You never know until you try. A lot of things are possible with the k series.

Not hard at all. You can do it if I did it.
What kind of intake manifold is that?
Its a skunk 2 intake but rewelded the neck to the opposite side.
i'm doing this same swap. 92 240. i got a k24z1 for free and i have an s2k trans. do you have the type s oil pump or the larger one?
Type s pump. With blox oil baffle. Steel oil pan
Nice job but the rear section of the exhaust looks very close to the ground 😬

Yeah going to have to keep an eye on the bumper. That old Volvo plastic is though tho 🤣🤣 if I see that it becomes a problem, I’ll reroute the muffler.
How much did it cost you?
Hey mate! What are you running susspention and brake wise?
