I went to springs on my heusinveld ultimates because i drive ate higer forces and once over 90kg force elastomers are having expansion delays creating peakes in braking for a fraction of a second in quick hard braking situations .. i went to springs a while ago and got a lot more precission with it .and i dont have those peaks with it .
Yes, this is most likely due to elastomers being very inconsistant since variations in temperature will affect the spring constant. I have noticed this especially with my crappy Asetek La Primas. I need to warm up the pedal/elastomer for about 1min before I drive.😵
@@DanSuzuki Hmm if I had to guess I would say to balance the elastomers' hysteresis. The rubber tends to relax and applies less pressure on the load cell after the peak.
@@DanSuzuki that's exactly it the elastimer relaxes under the constant pressure which then causes the loadcell to miss read that as a pressure drop the hall would read the position and cross defence that with the loadcell if once the position is at 70° but the elastimer relaxes the hall can correct it by letting the software know the position didn't move so the loadcells new number should be corrected. Hope that makes sense
Dan I have a question I was hoping you could help with. I got the Rode Streamer X and pair it with the SM7B, and love it. But I have the AT STS USB headset, is there anyway I can connect this to the streamer x as output from my pc/monitoring? I tried a usb to usb c adapter in "port 2" and no joy... Do you know if this is possible or only AUX headsets?
Hello sir, would love to hear your thoughts on a belt tensioner system, specifically the Qubic Systems BT1, thanks for always being so detailed and covering all the right stuff
Glad to hear that, if I am going to start wearing a seatbelt harness I want to make sure it is definitely adding something pretty significant, your input will be great to hear, looking forward to it, thank you
10:21 Looks like same motor on cpp lite. I wonder if these can be upgraded in order to more finetune the freq. Since i‘m also fan from purple anodized alu oarts, no wonder i went for cpp lite. These pedals look really great. Ps: Did you ever considered to make a video or live streams building an active brake pedal? i saw a video from one project. It was on german and guy said material costs are around 300eur. Because after a wheel, joystick/flightstick, new industry standard - your plate for the wheels… pedal would be amazing! Hahahaha 15:55 that why you look so tired! i went two times through that! Congrats and enjoy every moment! Best wishes!
26:14 ps: same with conspit as well. only corners there as well. i was going for that as well. might be something to address to simhub via email? i‘ll try that :D
28:30 i line actually tc on the throttle specially when driving fast classes where i dont really want to drive without to „move forward“ or when track is lil bit slippery it helps me to just backoff liil bit to avoid a spin when i go on throttle too hard. And break for wheel lock on lmu. it helped me get off and learn drive without any any aids in 2 weeks! Again very good review! thank you!
35:28 ps: it is possible under each effect to change freq and duration of the signal which can change the feeling but as you said - it takes time. Sorry for the extra comment :D
Interesting! First we see Dan turned into Super Dad, even dodging evil yellow stinging birds (also called Markus-Rühl-bee), but we also see Dan-is-maybe-a-bit-stressed-out-not-too-long-before-baby-is-born. You can easily spot that because the stressed out Dan has a more proper combed hair and the Super Dad, who doesn't give a shit about his hair (don't take too serious ;) ) and is enjoying himself and his new Neo-like Super Dad powers. Sorry, I don't know what I'm getting at, hahahaha 😂 Very good video! As informative as ever, and I like how Dan emphasizes on the fact, that people tend to spend money and then don't explore their piece of equipment, what you can get out of it to make it more suitable to your liking. I also keep telling that! I for one didn't give a damn about what most people said about the Asetek pedals. "They are not adjustable, the brake is like a wall (it is out of box, yes)"... even just swapping a spring can do a huge difference, let alone just adjusting the preload of springs, also I noticed a lot of people who complain about back pain or sore legs and arms just have - sorry to put it like this - shitty adjustments in terms of ergonomics... if you buy a multi-thousand Dollar/Euro rig (that sounds cool, hahahaha) you should take your time over the course of maybe multiple weeks to tweak it and try - conciously - different settings and what they do to your body and how well or bad you can handle them. This hardware is in the end super expensive and sophisticated gaming equipment (don't get mad, it is! =D ), you spend a lot of money, but it is not expensive because it imediately works perfect out of box, it is expensive because the stuff is a) not mainstream stuff build in large numbers but b) with high quality - for the most part - pieces and c) more or less well thought out ways to adjust the stuff. Don't make the mistake to make no use of that. If you don't want to deal with this, then a cheap set of wheel+pedal, that doesn't allow any hardware adjustments, is probably a better way to go. Or you grab some more money and hire somebody who knows what he/she/it is doing, who can adjust the stuff on the fly with your input. Like some real world drivers do, who don't have time to deal with this stuff. Sorry, got carried away, hahahaha 😂😂 Anyway, great review 😁👍
Ive noticed alot of people are copying sim magic lately. From there load cell desgn with the elastomers to the haptics lol. People can try and doneplay china made stuff but simagic has proven that the quality is insane like high end level stuff for mid rahge prices. Imo they are even still built structurally better then these. I will say i dont like how stiff the pedals are here. I truely belivee with the simagic design they are using they should be using thinner elastomers with a taller stack or springs mixed in or an option for all springs. Thats the thing i can make my pedals feel like vrs pros which have springs or i can make it feel like elestomers as it is of course. So just the more options you have and can get the better. I like springs mixed with only a fee elastomers because the speed the prdal can come back if needed is faster with more springs. But its not crazy heavy and has amazing travel.
Thank you Dan!! It’s coltForty btw! Great vid as always! Hope family is happy and healthy and you are getting as much sleep as you can. Well, can’t, might be more accurate.
@@DanSuzuki that’s good! My son was a little colic But my daughter was chillin. But you’re right. That 12/10 you said I assure you will just grow! What will feel like a month you will be taking them to school. Just a wild ride. And the crazy part was when I had my first, all the anxiety of how will they be, once you hold your child look down see them. Instantaneously disappears! And changes your life forever. Or perspective for sure. Nothing you have not already learned in the 6 or so short weeks now. Now the little things matter so much. Congrats Dan. Love your enthusiasm for your family!! ❤️
Way too cumbersome to make changes at this price point IMO. For years i never made changes to my brake setup because it was too much work, but this thr Aseteks i recently got completely changes can be made in literally less than a minute. That inckudes the mechanical swap, software profile map and recalibration.
I had some big EMI issues with P1Sim wheels. I was not the only one at the time. I hope they improved this part. It became unplayable at the time. I know there is a possibility to ground the setup but it is not always possible !

the hall in the brake is the method some manufactures are using to stabilize the load cell signal.
Interesting … why would you have to do that though? 🤔

Not a fan of tbe pedal faces, but its just my opinion there. They do look like fantastic pedals
How would they compare to something like the heusinkveld sprint

absolutely agree - too many people just completely waste the potential of their gear by not using the possibilites its offering :D

Simagic makes excellent stuff, but they definitely were not the first with that elastomer tube design - wave Italy had it years ago for example 😅

weiß jemand wann es infos zu mozas mbooster gibt (release und vor allem preis?)
