Unfathomably based. I might end up doing this for my GSI wheel and SC base! Thanks for all you do for the sim racing community
This guy did something that fanatec has had over 25 years to do wooow the power is in people ❤ bravo 👏
Oh my god, I could finally buy the NRG quick release that DINGS and also have wireless?!?!?! Awesome work Dan. I'll have to try this out in the future.
You are great engineer Dan 💪
Amazing work buddy 🍻
The new open source standard!! Cool!
Impressive! No use for it right now but you just gave the community an amazing tool. Thanks Dan!
Holy crap this is amazing dan. Fantastic work
Congratulations for the finished product! Can wait to use this in my current QR overhaul. You are an absolute Chad. Thank you!
I've been looking forward to this since you teased it in your HYP-R build! Thank you for your amazing work. As an aside, I would love to see more DIY wheel streams, especially PE wheels, I watched all three of the HYP-R streams because they were super fun and relaxing!
Congratulations, it's a fabulous project
Absolutely incredible. Very, very nice!
This is fantastic! I can't believe no-one else created this earlier.
Great contribution, thanks Dan.
I've been mulling over the idea of converting my Asetek wheelbase using a 24mm shaft to 58/70mm adapter from SimSteering so I can avoid paying $150 per Asetek QR and I think you've finally convinced me to start on my idea.
you can use this QR and connect it to the wire coming out of the asetek base btw
@@DanSuzuki Yeah I noticed the wires when I installed my front mount and have been mulling over it since. There's 6 wires on the base for 6 pogo pins, and my current plan is to trace them from the usb connector on the Invicta QR to see if I can just get the 4 usb wires and go from there
This is amazing, ive been using the same concept but with the cube controls QRX quick release but it costs ways to much. I will definitely be converting to this.
I would love to see MVH Studios work with yall to create this for their wheels. This would be a game changer for them.
It's insane that one of the manufacturers hasn't made this already. Asetek is the closest with pass through wireless.
Cool. This is a very neat thing.
Very cool!
Thanks Dan.
Very cool. Thamks!
A shame this can not be manufactured and sold for the rest of us layman, but i understand why. Good work all the same. Maybe at some point the industry will do away with proprietary QR's and allow the user to select the best parts for their scenerio.
Doing (sim racing) gods work
Amazing!! Do you think I could convert the cheap ez moza wheel to work on simagic base? (That wheel doesn't have usb port)
Dan, are you using the Next Level Racing ES1 seat now?
you should release a product line
Just bought a kyostar qr from ebay. 70mm base side, absolutely no flex and they are just 35 Eur shipped.
Had one Kyostar from eBay, unfortunately it had flex/play. Seems like a little bit of gambling to get a flex free one.
Hey mate! This is one of the most amazing things I've seen . Is there any way you think we can get a Moza Rs V2 wheel work for this kind of thing, it is not USB compatible!
Would this be a solution to run Fanatec wheels onto a Moza Base? And keep the buttons?
Is there any way this could work on a console? I have a pxn v12dds but no wheel and i was wondering if i could use this product to make a custom wheel that would still work when i use it on my ps5
Omg .. I bought the Moza TSW to use on a non moza wheel base and the wire wrapping is killing me.
This could be my solution.
@dan to sure if you will see this, but would this allow a Cube Control Wireless only (Simucube) work with a base like the DD+? I mistakenly bought one on EBAY thinking I could use the USB, and it doesn’t work… love my DD+ also bee very happy with it.
Unfortunately not - this only works for usb wheels. You should be able to buy the simucube link usb box soon though to be able to use your wheel
Maybe I missed it in the video, but do you have an SRM tiny emulator in the base side adapter as well?
Hey Dan, for the GSI wheel how did you route/hide the wire coming from the PCB to the QR as there is no pass through on the back of the wheel.
@@DanSuzuki yeah, that’s what I thought. Was just checking. I have a new wheel.
cant join the discord :( will this work for fanatec wheels and will it work for xbox and ps5?
What earbuds are those?
Does this make it possible to work on simhub through this connection?
Yes this of course works with simhub if the wheel supports it, think of it more like a fancy active extension cable 😄
you say it works with all wheels and bases. Does this mean it would also work with a non usb wheel, like a Moza GS wheel?
Meaning would it be possible to buy the wheelbase side pcb and use the Moza GS wheel?
Or would I need to switch out the wheel side pcb with the pins too?
Is it possible to connect the wheel side pcb with a non usb wheel?
The QR is essentially a usb passthrough meaning that you are rerouting a wired connection through it. If your Moza wheel has a wired connection, iirc there's the universal hub so yes, you could plug the base side cable into the universal hub and custom wire your wheel through the active qr wheel side. If you have only Moza wheels it will be fine but it won't be plug and play if you have other brands. IMO it isn't practical
Pc only not for ps5
How can we get one?
Wow, where to buy?
Tell me you didn't watch the video without telling me you didn't watch the video. 😅
@@DanSuzuki I'm sorry, as soon as I saw the beginning I wrote the message, then while I was looking at the rest, I realized the bullshit I had written...🙏😢
Ooo nice dudes thanks
To not only share this IP with us but also show how to order the parts is extremely generous of you, Dan. 👏👏🙏
