Actually this has happened a lot in the real world with mobsters,a lot of random unsolved murders are actually solved when some of these people are caught for something in their respective organizations and decide to become informants and spill the beans and just tell the whole story of their career to the authorities. There's the story of a mobster who was being hired as a hitman and the crew that was hiring him asked him to kill someone at random (to prove he had balls and wasn't just a talker) ,guy out walking his dog, car pulls up, bam!,game over, unsolved murder. Another example,one of the Carneglia brothers who worked for John Gotti was in a restaurant and started hassling a waitress and calling her a cunt etc and this civilian intervened,well they followed him, found out where he lived,a couple of weeks later guy is dead, murder went unsolved for years,Sammy Gravano who was Gottis second in command killed this random kid on the street one night he mistook for a guy that had threatened him, murder went unsolved till he testified years later. These guys will kill you at the drop of a hat and have no fear of going to prison,the fact no one is there to witness it sometimes its just a bonus for them.

The Paulie character was by far the most abhorrent ever written into this epic piece of a television masterpiece. The world of organized crime is most likely not filled with saints, but this character really was well portatyed as a very nasty piece of work. The scene where he killed his mother's best friend was simply awsmome acting making the viewer despise this person. This scene also captures the true self obsessed, money driven psychotic nature of this character, soemone totally devoid of any glimmer of decency. Brilliant!

It was revenge for trying to demand that tip and a lot of other things too. There was nothing that we could do about it. Paulie was a made man and the waiter wasn't. And we had to sit still and take it.
Then the next day they agree to put their differences aside "before anybody gets hurt". This series is brilliant because they make you fans of the characters then show you that deep down, they are all flawed, and will kill anybody at the drop of a dime to save a few bucks and their own egos. Brilliant show.

The Paulie character was by far the most abhorrent ever written into this epic piece of a television masterpiece. The world of organized crime is most likely not filled with saints, but this character really was well portatyed as a very nasty piece of work. The scene where he killed his mother's best friend was simply awsmome acting making the viewer despise this person. This scene also captures the true self obsessed, money driven psychotic nature of this character, soemone totally devoid of any glimmer of decency. Brilliant!
Ralph was worse. Also she wasn't really his mom's best friend, she bullied her a lot, but yeah it was pretty bad.
