    The hook fits through the opening at the base of the light to catch the lanyard and pass it through. Great vids bud. Glad to see you grow! Cheers

      The ESKTE Skilhunt H200 right angle 🔦 is far superior.
      With the H200, you get a choice between two Nichia 519A LEDs in 3000K or 4500K or a Cree XP-G4 LED in 6500K. The red light LED is a Cree XP-E2 (620-630nm).
      It is available in 18650 and 18350 🔋 size.
      I bought both models in 3000K, which I use the 18350 as a headlamp (better suited because of the lighter weight) and the 18650 as my flashlight.
      The only thing the Perun 3 has over the H200 is the ON/OFF switch. It is better to have an all-metal ON/OFF switch over a silicone one.

      @@AlcoveShadow That's actually really cool you can choose the emitter color with the ESKTE.
      Me personally I edc an Olight baton 2 or 3, tons of power in a small package, I don't have a need for a bigger angled light like that. (For now haha!) But really I think that's the biggest part of the conversation right? Does the tool fit the use case scenario?

    At about 5 minutes in you were pointing out the proximity sensor, not a motion sensor. As I see already commented, the hook shown at about 7:32 minutes, is to aid in the installation of the lanyard, to pull it through the hole. This could have use in threading other lanyards, etc., so a useful little tool to have if one can keep track of it. This proximity sensor only works if the lens is occluded as turbo is turned on or within 0.5 seconds of activation. So although it can be disabled, I don't know why one would want to, unless a fire is needed.Thanks for the video.

      Ah yes, good catch. Proximity sensor, not motion sensor.

    Metal on metal for the headband. that will scratch the light.
    The hook is to aid the lanyard when fitting it to the torch.

    I saw on another review that the red is more orange in colour, does it look that way in real life?

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  3 місяці тому +2

      Good question. To me it looks red but it may be more orange than other red LEDs. I haven’t yet compared it with other lights but to me it looks red.

    Thanks for the review. 😊 And how good is the flashlight if it’s on the left side (opposite side)? Does it fit well? I operate the switch with my left hand.

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, it works well on the left side. The switch will probably be operated by your thumb but the headlamp system works well on either side 👍
