Yeah, usually when the lights blink it means there is some kind of error related to battery compatibility. At least on the chargers I’ve used.

The DL16 is very much an impulse purchase haha. Main reason was that I saw it was normally around 21.5USD, but I ended up getting it for 8USD due to vouchers and other things that reduced the price significantly. Secondly I want to try a tail switch flashlight since the ones I have are all side switch models. The lack of internal charging doesn't bother me since a charger comes with the DL16 and lacking a charging mechanism in the body has the benefit of better dust and water protection since at times I use flashlights in rains and storms.

Yes, this was not to mimic wear and tear but to test OAL. I was very impressed that only the oxidized surface seems to have been effected. Crazy stuff and I hope they make more lights with it

Good question. I wonder if you can pair the second with the first by triple clicking it when it’s already on. I don’t know for sure as I only have one but that is what I’d try if you are not able to add the second as a new device in the App. Hope that helps and hopefully someone else jumps in the comments section with the answer for us!

​@PardonMyEnglish I figured it out. Tapping the little + at the upper right of the app allows the second one to be added. I don't recall having to do this to add the first one (it seems easier and almost automatic). Both Sphere units are now present and named so I can identify them.

Mine won’t link to Bluetooth. The app instructions say to hold it for five seconds in white mode until it blinks red then green that doesn’t work either.

Yes, it works well on the left side. The switch will probably be operated by your thumb but the headlamp system works well on either side 👍

@@AlcoveShadow That's actually really cool you can choose the emitter color with the ESKTE. Me personally I edc an Olight baton 2 or 3, tons of power in a small package, I don't have a need for a bigger angled light like that. (For now haha!) But really I think that's the biggest part of the conversation right? Does the tool fit the use case scenario?

Good question. The outer transparent shell is smooth, but the inner translucent dome/ball has ribs.

I also prefer replaceable batteries personally. Unfortunately I only have experience with the i3E but I can tell you that it is the one I use and I really like it -especially for the price. Hope that helps!

I cannot confirm exactly because I don’t have the equipment to test. I will say that some flashlight companies exaggerate quite a bit but Olight’s specs are typically pretty close. You be the judge though.

@@PardonMyEnglish I agree that they are typically close with just a tiny bit of stretching but I’ve seen a beam shot of a claimed 150m but at the rate of the brightness it had on the trees at 150m I would say that the max was maybe around 300-350ish?

@@PardonMyEnglish I'm surprised it's a very nice light. I'm a big olight fan and have the Baton turbo on the way but my ts12 with the sft-25r and a 14500 vapecell h10 is really powerful I will be surprised if the Baton turbo throws as far only because most of my non olights usually have more output cause olight sets the lights up to be close to child friendly cause of some of there customers complain about the light getting hot 😆. But I bet the olight will have longer turbo runtimes and all they usually do I'll be surprised if it doesn't.
