This was an epic review. The end commentary was giving spooky call of duty scenes and the soundtrack was giving stranger things. Do you work in the industry by any chance? 11/10!
This might be olights best flashlight to be honest I’ve been messing with it I love no proximity the color is pure white extreme runtimes…. Uniformed beam I LOVE IT
Would have liked to have seen the red go higher. I usually use a red flashlight thats really bright when out walking and am looking to replace it with a good quality headlight that can also give me a reasonable white light for night time maintenance jobs but the red on this is very disappointing. Thanks for the vid
A technical question. And I hope, not a dumb question. It may just be me, but it seems like the brightness of the videos is less than in the past. Do you correct the output of the video in order to replicate what it would really look like irl? I know that cameras can often paint "an untrue picture" of light outputs, making things appear brighter than reality.
I use a set iso of 800. I've used 800 for the last 9 months. On my PC the vids look a little dark, on my TV they look a touch too bright. So I guess the HDR device makes a difference.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I can see how it would be a challenge to correctly emulate the actual output in a digital video format. You do a great job of it, IMO! 🙂
@DRayL_ tbf Indoors I need to film at 200iso, 800 looks way too bright. It's similar outside. Sometimes, the moonlight modes can look really bright in a confined space.
A metal head strap? thats going to scratch up the torch something crazy. I think yours is scratched already. Does is fit in the old head strap? it should right
I have nearly $10k in Olight products. You could call me a fan boy. I will say that in the video it looks like the Imalent HT70 outperforms the Perun 3 in the FLOOD comparison. Im impressed with the Imalent! I have every single one of the Olight headlamps except the new Perun 3. I really like them but I fear that the Perun 2 and now thePerun 3 are heavy and cumbersome.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV But there's no need for it - The rubber strap version for the Perun 2 Mini would work fine if they just tightened it up a bit... Alternatively, the clip-on holder for Fenix's HM50R v2 is absolutely fabulous, way more pocketable and easy enough to copy in concept without copyright/patent infringement.
With the proximity sensor - 15 taps from off disables it permanently... is there no way to re-enable it? The manual suggests another 15 taps, but that doesn't seem to work on mine...
As a company they're a rather annoying shill-factory driven by a flood of amateur (yet effective) opportunistic marketing, and I'm really not impressed by most of their products... and yet they also make a couple of the best EDC torches on the market - The Perun Mini and the i1R. Their UI is one of the best for most level of user and they're great for non-enthusiasts who need something better than an old Maglite or Duracell.

Sadly not, I have a very boring job.
Take the pocket clip off the lamp to make rotation in its mount easier.

The end of this video was a fever dream
Great work as always! ♥
Thank you! Cheers!
600 to 3000, high needs to be at least a 1000. seems all or nothing.
Good review, good soundtrack. Sorry for your car keys😂

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I can see that. We all appreciate your work, none the less. I've made a few purchased based off of one of your reviews. 🙂
Regular 21700 works with a button top, but not for charging in the flashlight. same thing with Baton Turbo.
Button top worked in Perun 3 but not the Baton Turbo.
Have they managed to put a glass lens on this or the usual plastic?
@@lumenwolf5523 Think it's plastic.
Bummer, looks good though. I have the H2R Nova in NW and still love it.
@@lumenwolf5523 The Perun 3 is twice the firestarter!
Do we know if it's an SST or XP-E deep red emitter?

I don't have the old strap but mine did scratch up.

The Perun is great but I like the HT70 a lot, a lot of other reviewers have reported issues with the HT70 though.
That’s why I use Perun 2 Mini instead. Good power in a lightweight, small package.
@@Gambit166 One of the best torches ever made!!
IP68 or IPX8 ?
I think it is IP68 according olight.
IP68
Why would they design it to be scratched like that? Wow.
@carlstanland5333 it's only like what a pocket clip does to be honest
