Do It for the Kids Fall to Pieces Dirty Little Thing Big Machine Set Me Free Slither Does anybody know if more songs have been broadcasted from this show?
I was fortunate enough to have been able to see VR and Audioslave back in the day when I was a teenager. What an amazing time for rock and roll. Thankful to have been a part of it.
1971 was an amazing time for rock-n-roll, 1978 was a great time for rock-n-roll, 1981 was a great time for rock-n-roll. So was when Slashes other band released their debut Lp. but this, this is just good rock, like twisted sister was good rock. Heck, Social Distortion would've headlined any show this band was luckily enough to share with them.
@@arsonne that's probably because it was a battle to get Scott to show up to rehearsals. He'd often leave the band waiting several hours and sometimes not even show. That would kill the fun, no doubt.
I saw Velvet Revolver live in 2005 or 2006, and it was a great show. They even played a couple of Stone Temple Pilots and Guns N Roses songs, which was cool.
OFFICIAL SETLIST Velvet Revolver - 2005-06-05 Rock am Ring, Germany 00:00 Do It for the Kids 01:05 Yaaeeeya 04:28 Fall to Pieces 08:48 Dirty Little Thing 12:50 Big Machine 16:56 Set Me Free 24:51 Slither
i've been looking all around to see if anyone has the full version of their show. i thought the MTV version would have more but it pretty much follows the same broadcasted setlist. only thing is it at least shows the band coming on stage, and it ends in (set me free) and skips to the last note of Slither. so what you got is pretty much it. my only guess is Rockpalast might've been a bit selective on how much of a certain show of a certain band they're able to broadcast. i don't know. i think it was a bit of the same when i was watching clips of 3 Doors Down @ Rock AM Ring 2011/2012 (cant remember) and they showed a handful of songs they played and that's it.
Sometimes bands didn't want some songs to be aired since they weren't happy with the performance. But it's hard to know if that is the case here. Rockpalast often broadcast full shows, but not always.
I was listening to The Violet Femmes when someone gave me that album Appetite.....it was before any videos came out.....I was a skater my first year in a private school.....
Slightly higher during this performance no doubt. Bugging eyes and a different voice in Slither- but holds it together unlike any other - a true talent.
Shows what people can do when properly motivated. Weiland had something to prove with STP. Duff and Slash had something to prove with GNR. This explains why it all fell apart after being successful.

Thank you!
What a showman he was. Such a stage presence. Some of his movements/mannerisms put me in mind of Jagger on stage.
Not a phone in sight. The good old days!

Yeah I saw VR at Braxton academy which was awesome as small venue. Arena gigs suck. They were REALLY late on though…
Man, I missed both of them.

When Axl goes out, Slash, Duff and Matt meet Scott and they PLAY AWESOME SONGS with Scott ! Well Done !
Velvet Revolver the best for ever!!!
Wow @martinguns24, That's better than AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd...? Really?
RIP Scott.
Saw their first ever UK show at Hammersmith Apollo. Only time I ever got to see him live. Great performer and live vocalist. Such a shame.
The moment all 3 are standing together during fall to pieces gave me chills! 👌
What a Band, what a Frontman ... great !!!
Scott is the GOAT. He's like Bon Scott, Eddie Vedder and Freddie Mercury blended together.
I am blown away by this band their energy is is
It's a shame Slash looks back on this era and says VR was just 'no fun'.
@@arsonne that's probably because it was a battle to get Scott to show up to rehearsals. He'd often leave the band waiting several hours and sometimes not even show. That would kill the fun, no doubt.
"their energy is is" = a bunch of likes... That proves it, the 'comment-bots' are better at commenting than humans.
doubtless one of the greatest LIVE PERFOMERS ever
He was the Mick Jagger of our generation

And I’m 10 love the 80’s if I had I Time Machine and I could go to anywhere I wanted I would teleport to slash. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Never realized what a great backup singer Matt Sorum is. Cool!
Sang backup for Guns ,,,,,,
@@CP-kb1du Guns had over 9000 backup singers
Me too
@@_DANZIG_only 8999 when Axl could rely on his voice…😂
Matt released an album.
Weiland one part Jagger, two parts singer guy from the Scorpions, 3/4 part snake, rest is all scowl & attitude. Loved that guy.
Too funny....but pretty spot on
You forgot 1/4 Bowie
U forgot the Bowie
So you got one descent part

I LOVE VR, the pure buzz and rock n roll was amazing
So freakin killer!
That harmony part he hits at 10:34 is absurd. One of the best to do it
Tinha tudo pra se tornar uma grande banda 😢
Scott had a great voice he didn't e c enough realize the talent he had
Saw them once , pretty cool!
Scott we miss you🤟🏻😞❤️
Saw them shortly before they split….absolute carnage on stage with SW’s antics….but a beyond brilliant gig!
Slash created a killer solo for Slither
muito show otima banda
Such a rock’n performance 🎸🔥
Joder! Ahóra sé lo que es el Rock.. 🤘⭐

crazy to think i was only 5years old here
Simplemente epico
I wonder what Axl was thinking when he heard of Velvet Revolver? Maybe: "The others don't need me near as much as I thought."
Scott: Hero.
Slash’s tone is fucking on point here
20:11 Slash el Dios de las cuerdas de acero, tiene un estilo único.
Scott and Perry Farrel are true rockstars. Slithering and slinking around on stage always looking like sex symbols.
🔥🔥🔥♥️
I guess Slash forgot to put some gain in the amp.
Those were the fuking dayz 😊
I saw them on their first tour at the 9:30 club in DC. They were really good. Too bad Scott couldn't keep it together.
