Hey guys, I just wanted to clear some things up. I re-uploaded the video because the tutorial and my sponsor (Melodics) kind of contradicted each other. So I removed to the ad because I didn't want to confuse anyone. Mybadmybad

A music theory type video for bass lines would be awesome. Bass lines seem to be what I struggle with the most when making a beat. Thank you for everything you do! ❤️

I'm not trying to sound like the entire comment section when I say I am astonished with how you make melodies that I would scrap instantly, sound amazing. It discourages when I realize how much better you and the rest of UA-cam are; then I realize this is my first month of being a producer and that I still have a long road ahead of me. I know you all are gonna hear my name some day because I'm gonna be the best out there. I don't care how long it takes me to get there.
Two useful facts, you can enable your typing keyboard to work as a Midi keyboard alongside a standard keyboard. Also, if you have Android 7.1 and up you can use your cell phone as a generic Midi controller. You can do it in Android 7.0, but it's an experimental feature in Developer mode.
Dude I gotta be honest, I've been watching a lot of videos recently trying to understand these type of things (really new in the music department) and your explanation is the best one I've heard. Really clear and you put it in a way so easy to follow. Suscribed, liked, and will probably watch a lot more of your videos :)
7:05 you actually can. You just gotta use the "g" string fourth fret, that just makes you unable to play any notes on the "g" string if you're not able to hit them on the "b/h" string. Sorry if this message was confusing.
I am just starting with FL Studio and making music. This video is one of the most helpful to me. Everyone I see has an MIDI controller and it felt hopeless for me without one. Thank you for inspiring and teaching.
Hey Servida, I've been producing music literally without a keyboard and just the mouse and my brain for the last whole decade and it's like this video was made for me. Thanks a lot brotha, very helpful !
Been binge watching you and honestly amazing content, some fire advanced stuff and also concise useful tips for people new to FL or producing in general - genuinely love it keep it up man

Thank you Simon! I really like to work with synths and make it siund kind of "futuristic" in a way, the "robotic sound" can sound really good when doing that. But when I'm making a beat with "real" instruments such as string instruments or piano's, this could really help me. I learn everyday from producers like you! So thankm s for that.
Damn i was searching for how to make a realistic guitar sound in fl studio 12 for atleast 6 months and u showed me how to do it. You are awesome. I love the way You explain things its so easy and in depth. Great jobs keep it up. Edit: some spelling mistakes
Mannnn.. You are Awesome.. This the second video I'm watching.. the first one was how to line chords with Melody.. Everything is perfectly explained.. and I didn't even know what velocity meant.. Thank you so much..
Hey man, great video! In your video, starting around 2:46 (when you are saying "kinda just to have them sustain the entire note length"), after you selected the top melody notes, you can just press Ctrl+L. It will do the same thing automatically for you. I hope this helps. Have a great day!
What also seems to be working for me regarding the piano part is to highlight the melody velocity wise. Basically being intentional with what you're doing. Because if you highlight the melody line for example you can add harmonics on top with a lower velocity (or below the melody line for that matter) Maybe a tad more complicated, but sure fun to toy around with. I.e. I love this little melody line (4/4); G - G - Gb - Gb - Eb - Eb - D - D Kind of an uneasy/spooky feeling You can harmonize it by adding the following notes on top; D - D - Db - Db - Bb - Bb - A - A For the hardcore readers that actually want to do something with this lots of possible chord progressions. Chords change as soon as the note changes. Some ideas; Gm - Gm diminished - Ebm - D Gm - Gb Diminished - Ebm - D/F#
I just subscribed! Your videos are pretty cool. I downloaded FL Studio yesterday, and I really want to learn how to make music. It would be cool if you made a full tutorial for beginners (like me.)
Video idea: workflow tutorial? I find myself making beats and it takes time based on how I’m used to working. You seem to be flying through things, like how you change all the velocities at once, keyboard shortcuts and stuff? Great vid again :)
Thank you, man! I'm kinda newbie in DAW, so it's really useful lesson for me. Especially cuz I work on piano and guitar tracks right now (haven't MIDI in 1st case and it's way too hard to me to play it by myself in 2nd) . So yeah, my thanks! P.S. like your outro so much XD
