Love my '17 Classica 6speed. For a lifetime truck owner, this thing is so much fun and great on gas. Lots of push and grunt for an I4. Absolutely *zero* issues after 3 years with regular at home oil/plug/coil changes
Spot on, definitely more of a GT car. I’ve driven an ND2 Club back to back with a 124 Abarth and definitely preferred the ND2. Faster, felt more razor edge, and didn’t like the turbo lag. The Abarth exhaust sounded awesome though. Personally I think Fiat 124 styling will age better than ND2 in long term.
How long-term do you mean? ND Miata with its current design has been around since mid-2015 as it is (8 years) and aged very well. The 124 styling is gorgeous though, but I just don't like the engine at all, and reliability isn't a strong suit for sure. Good luck getting any cosmetic parts for the 124 also.
all those mods, the tires, particularly, are going to change the feel of the car compared to a stock. I have a 2017 classica, no major changes, it does the best on wooded backroads, the body roll of the mx5 constantly tilts down into a turn where this car will keep its composure better. The Jason Camisa review of it with the miata is pretty on point with its comparisons.
First if you want to go fast get a fast car. Why does everyone want a track car just enjoy a good car and just cruise and enjoy not getting tickets or losing your license. Now day's you don't need to go fast with cameras and cell phones everywhere.
I’m pretty sure I will call it “Fiata,” I have a Miata NC, and let’s be honest that fiat is really a Miata but more stylish, also it’s a Italian mark but the engines and most of the pieces are from the Miata. If you think it’s even more affordable compare to Miata’s, and it’s pretty much the same (at least here in America)
Driven both in 6spd Nd2 club and 124 base End of the day I preferred the 124 I though the ride alone made it worth it. I did like the brakes on the Miata though (brembos) The fiat limits felt a lot lower making it more fun on canyon roads in SoCal. The ND had too much grip, and was almost too good, taking away the fun. Just my 2 cents
The Mazda was ripping off the Fiat 124. Yeah you can say Fiat return the favor but not really Fiat refined the design and came up with one of the best sports cars known to man reasonably priced
I’m amazed the Classica doesn’t come with lsd. You could get that feature on the NA and NB Miata’s. I think Miata regardless of generation is still the answer.
Love how people bash automatic cars. Top down, no clutch, just the wind in the air, and my left hand on the wheel and my right hand on my gal's leg. Yup. Automatic is better.
Fiat motor reliability plus resale is the Achilles heal on these 2-owned all 4 Mazda series-trust me. Btw I owned a 1975 124, 2 X19’s n a 1971 850 spyder. I know what I speak of🏁🥴
I had to respond: I had a '72 124 and a '70 850 during my youth in the early 1980's. None of the couple of dozen cars I've owned in my life have taught me as much about wrenching as those two. At least I can say I used to own a rear engined Italian sports car (and hope no one asks for details).
@@sinosoul there’s a reason- besides resale will kill u- the 1.5 motor is quite stressed as well. I would def def get a warranty with those. Looks? Ya I’d give to the fiat. They’re also quieter inside due to sound insulation that Mazda doesn’t offer.
Far more beautiful than the mazda although I recon that tastes are subjective. That car is also more comfortable than the mazda and easier on the road. But none of these cars, including the Gt86 are sport cars. I guess if you want real sensation you need to take a real sport brand cars such as Porsche or the other famous italian brands or some Audi and BMW. These cars (mazda, fiat and toyota) are like Canada Dry beverage ... They look like sport cars, they may sound like sport cars but they are just cool affordable gt cars ... A Mini cooper S 192 hp or a Mini JWC is from far a better sport and more exciting car to drive than any of these 😉
This car can kill you if you turn off the traction control.i own one and ended up in a ditch, this is more than a sports car,it's a go cart on steroids.this car can easily do burnouts and is rwd sounds like a sports car to me🤷♂️ not to mention it can easily do 130+mph if u know how to actually drive

Great to have two small lightweight roadster options depending on drivers preference

@@newwavetheo Yes bu5 i looks more alien and edgy. 124 has much better rear end styling and classic ques from origibal 124.
I have a 2017 6MT Abarth now. Had a 2001 Miata prior.
Love this car.
I’ve heard from friends that the torque can be an advantage for autocross. Omg that automatic almost sounds like a CVT.
😂
I've one 2017 and I love it, I bought it new as my weekend car but it's become my daily so fun to drive.
Please, more information on how to upgrade the radio/infotainment to add Car Play or Android Auto. Thanks.

I have a 2017 Luso Black and tan interior. Swapped out the factory exhaust for resonators and saved some weight. I love this little toy.
The 6 speed manual is the car to buy, paddle shifting just is not the same.

Exactly
Actually, this a fantastic track car, especially on tight, twisty tracks and/or autocross.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
Actually, Spider owners would rather loose a leg than call their cars a "Fiata"....unless of course, you have an automatic.
😐
I will never call my car a Fiata 🤮..
loved my NB2 a lot which is why i picked this. the new Miatas dont look that great
😂😂😂😂BASED

neat cars. good engines, like what u get in alfa giuliettas
It's a 1.4 turbo init
Would you take a 124 Spider Classica over a 2013 NC Miata Club? Never seen the comparison before. I mostly just see Abarth vs ND Miata.
Miata for me
Thank you. I’d like to get a PRHT club. Cool looking car.
I want one !!!
👏

Is this guy for real? Complaining about steering feedback that goes from light to firm in relation to amount of movement? Who hired him?
🍿
The automatic transmission made me throw up in my mouth a little.
1.4 Liters.

Engine is bullet proof. The 1.4 is used in 100.00's of vehicles, nothing to worry about!

What a load of bogus, these arw sportscars. You truly did not even try either if you dare to call John Cooper mini a better sports car than Miata.
