Everywhere I hear sales of every item has declined drastically while prices of every item has increased.. just a few days back I went to market to get vegetables after months… before vendors would say price of vegetables in kgs.. now they are doing it in 250 grams…when i asked why have they started doing that, the vendor said people are buying in 250 grams as they can’t afford to buy in kgs. And they the vendors feel that by selling in 250 grams, customers also feeling like they are not paying more for vegetables. But in reality we all are paying much more. Sad state of affairs

There are many Indian professors abroad. Innovation can be India's strength, if our education system is revamped to allow skill-development and creativity. Right now, India is a dysfunctional family. Modi did achieve something in Gujarat, he did attract investment and simplified bureaucracy, that is by INDIAN STANDARDS of the time. He has lost his way, he is treating India as a giant Gujarat. He should have delegated tasks, but he does not know how to do that, he comes up with Insane schemes such as note-ban. India should invest in emerging high tech sector. India was able to develop its own nuclear weapons and missiles, building an emerging hi tech sector is possible, look at the approach of Israel, it's develop things such lab-grown meat, drip farming using AI, different solar technologies. Modi is really finished as a creative influence on the economy, sadly he will gown down in history as an expert communal polariser to win elections, that will be his footnote in Indian history.

Sujit you have put your finger on IT being the 100% correct "brand" of India acceptable across the globe. No wonder CEOs of Google & Microsoft are of Indian origin. But both of them applied their brains groomed initially in India then leveraged it in US and reached where they are by making a new mile stone for their respective brands. Just take a deep breath and think despite having great Mathematician as Ramanujan, has any of the 5 original IITs, IISc and TIFR it's faculty joined hands together and worked to develop "totally Indian Data Encryption technology"! NO! As a result we are dependent to buy Encryption software from outside thereby leaving big gaps in our strategic sectors' security such as Power, Communications, Defence, Railways, Nuclear, Finance, Natural Mineral Resources etc. Had we done it then instead of Israel, US, France selling us encryption software packages India would have been selling it's branded product across the world and beaten the developed countries by virtue of having a premium.on it's IT and Mathematical capabilities.
Mr. Sujit, I know you are from marketing. Every point you raised is very important. The most important point was, 'promote quality'. The brand India established between 1991 and 2014 has eroded considerably in the last seven years. Mere slogans will not help.
Expecting a brand, vision, accountability,quality from a person who does not want to reveal his academic qualifications,and never subjects himself to a direct interview with local and international media is way too much to ask for. Thank God the country is surviving.
