I think the video would have been better if you went in the training mode with each character for a bit, just to show their abilities after reading and explaining what they do, so that we can have a practical understanding of the characters

ngl i think i enjoy the kit design of these characters more than ows. As much as i love ow i feel like something paladins always did better was allow versatility with characters and allowing player expression; not saying there’s no player expression in ow just think it’s more of a straight forward kind of expression rather than allowing players to adapt characters to their own play style. think people can get creative with how they use certain characters and very excited to see what characters they add. Definitely optimistic.
totally agree, paladins does suffer a bit though as a result of the sheer amount of characters it has, some having busted kits while others do basically nothing. even despite that, the game can be fun and creative in ways ow never had or will
That's one of the reasons I love Junkrat. Up until his one shot was removed, he could be played in a variety of different ways. But other characters like Tracer and Sojourn I agree are pretty one dimensional. You can be good at them, but you play pretty much the same way as other good players.

I feel like they could have done some type of team up ability with black panther and storm, it works with in the lore and it seems like storms speed boost benefits melee characters... that magik and black panther team up is dumb lol

18:50 I would add that groot has a unique melee combo where he can launch enemies into the air 3 hits sort of like a weaker spiderman uppercut

I hate to complain, but why not let the animations play while you explain? Even just once if you dont' want the annoying looping. It would help visualize the abilities while you explain them.
Hulk having a damage issue makes no sense lol, dude should be able to 2 shot the squishies at least
Magik is great if ure good at animation canceling her abilitites together she can one shot a lot of squishies and shes good vs Hela so i think she has good value. ALso Luna Ult, the only two things ive seen kill her are Scarlets ult, Iron mans and magnetos, basically u need to hit her with a one tap big nuke. I believe Punisher can kill her with his ult aswell cuz its insane dps its just hard. Spider-man is all about doing his combo with animation cancel aswell and u need to deactivate auto swing in the settings for him so u can aim ur web swing and just move around easier. But yeah insanely hard even if ure super good. I honestly think after they balance everything in this game ans make all characters be viable the game will be that much better and even more enjoyable.

mantis really does require you to pay attention to who’s getting the most damage. her dps buffs with heals are too good. her left click is just god awful

Im so upset that instead of giving Namor a really cool kit ahowing off his flight, strength or anything else they just made a latino Torbjorm. If they wanted to make Torbjorm just add Forge, or nake Red Skull, Baron Zemo or Nick Fury summon minnions or something like that. I guess im upset because they made Namor Latino which is awesome, but they also made him really bad, which is super lame.

It's funny to see comparrisons top overwatch since at surface level and as deep as you can go these characters are not like overwatch characters. Take Punisher for example, he only shares ONE thing with Soldier 76, a machine gun. The core identity of Solider is that he can sprint, we even call him "Legs". Punisher has a zipline he can set up (way cooler imo, and balanced) but no free sprint. The only other similarity is maybe punisher's smoke and soldiers rocket but they play so different from each other it's not really a comparison. Every other comparison doesn't work since you can't play any character in Marvel Rivals like you play them in overwatch. Scarlet witch has 'Fade' but it's a free flight with 2 charges and the enemy can see you at all times, she also has Dva bomb but only has 250~ hp and can easily be killed in the long charge up time; the one true similarity of Moira and Scarlet Witch is the left click. Spiderman and genji comparison makes 0 sense. Peni Parker being a Wrecking Ball (I've seen and had the displeasure of arguing about this) makes 0 sense, about as much as the dva comparison (asian in mecha I guess???).
There are similar abilities but nothing is really at all the same or a copy. It's like dota 2 and league of legends, or TF2 and Overwatch. They are in the same genre but not the same. I've even seen people call Marvel Rivals an "Overwatch-Like", I don't think I need to explain how dumb that is. The problem is that giving objective and logical responses to terrible comparisons takes WAYY longer than it does to just come up with them, and you look like a fucking schizo nerd doing so, source: me. You can be as objective as possible and it does not matter, people will say Hela is a copy of Zenyyatta and that's it (also real btw). Even stuff like support ults in Marvel Rivbals being Zen's ult don't make sense, a punisher can one tap you in them, Zen is invincible. Get one damage boost on any dps and they can kill through the support trans ults. Once iron man gets buffed that wont be needed, and it's a small detail but you get the point.
I've never seen so much overwatch defending as I have since Marvel Rivals showed up, and it's clear the 10/10 visual presentation on all aspects of Marvel Rivals can't be attacked so people struggle to find something else to go after. If I'm as charitable as possible it all boils down to the spiderman and genji comparison, witrh the only similarity between them being wall climb, here you can see how abd a comparison is. Spiderman can crawl and run on walls in any direction he likes with no limit as well as the ceiling and stay still doing so, Genji goes vertically for like 2 seconds. These two things are not at all the same nor do they play the same, just like everything between the 2 games whether it maps or characters, nothing is the same (besides 5% the very start of the 2099 map and the no longer existing Hanamura).
Idk why you wrote all this but a lot of comparisons like spiderman and genji isn't supposed to be comparing their kits. Noone thinks spiderman and genji have similar kits but rather their role as a dps in the game is similar. They serve the same purpose and fall under the same category of high skill ceiling, highly mobile, flanking dps that just requires so much more effort to get value from than a normal point and shoot character. On the flip side comparisons like moira and scarlet is because they are easy to pick up, no aim and easy value heroes.
Unfortunately this game is 3rd person that's a deal breaker for me.
