I'm still using the s6 lite 2020 for Uni. I never had a problem with it, but you have to consider some compromises: with big samsung note file (100mb) you have to wait a couple of seconds, the tip of the pen wears pretty fast. Still I use it everyday for about 4+ hours a day and the battery holds for 2 days. Aside for this, a perferct tablet for 200 euros (last year price discount)
I am using the 2020 version for almost 3 years now. I know it's slower than 2022 version but it still holds up against other non samsung feature packed tablets due to its software experience and free s pen in the box
Because of your channel, I have finally put my hands on a tab S6 lite. it's way above what I thought. I've read bad comments about light bleed, dull colors, too bright in the dark and not enough under the sunlight, lack of homogeneous colors when you display each color one by one. But to be honest I might have been lucky cause none of this was true despite using the tablet under direct sunlight what I never do even with my phone. Otherwise colors are great, pictures are very sharp and crisp, no light bleed on the 128gb model in my case, plenty enough light to use in the day as long as you are not under direct sunlight, it handles multitasking very well. And it has android 13. Very happy with this tablet, nothing to complain about. Thanks Ivan for guiding me on the right choice. Take care
Please tell me do u face any stutters or lags when surfing through the UI, scrolling, switching between apps, are there any lags or micro stutters while doing them. I am thinking of getting one of these, my use case is, reading documents, watching youtube, drawing, note taking and light gaming
I got this tablet late last year, so I've only had it for a few months, and I really appreciate it. Maybe it's because I'm going from the low-end Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but I spent a lot of time trying to decide between this or the Tab S8. I'm happy with it, so I think if the Tab S8 is outside a person's budget, or they don't want to wait for the Tab S9, this is a really good deal.
I'm using the 8-inch Tab A from 2017, rather than the Tab A8, because figuring which model is which can be confusing. Of those, I prefer the Tab S6 Lite. If you mean the Tab A8, that starts at $230 for 32 GB, while the S6 Lite ordinarily starts at $350 for 64 GB, but you can currently get it for $250. That said, all of these tablets should be getting successors soon, if you want to wait and see how those turn out. - The Tab A7 Lite (Haven't mentioned it before, but it's the current small tablet) will be replaced with the Tab A9. It's rumored to have an 8.7" display. - The Tab A8 will be replaced with the Tab A9+. No idea about the size, but I would expect about 10.5". - The Tab S6 Lite will be replaced with the Tab S9 FE, which is expected to have a 10.9" display. So, if you're looking for recommendations, I'd say wait for the Tab A9, Tab A9+, or Tab S9 FE. If you want a tablet now, I'd say get the Tab S6 Lite.
Bought one of these at Walmart a couple of weeks ago for $250 and I'm very happy with it for that price. So far it does everything I'm looking for in my tablet (primarily consuming media and browsing the web).
I'm so happy to read this. I just ordered on Amazon for 250 and just realized it's the 2020 and almost canceled but after reading I'll stick with it. Thanks!!
I just got one for $200 at Best Buy and it’s great. I’ve never had a good tablet so to me this thing is awesome 😂. I love the S pen, this tablet is great for work also.
My 2022 Galaxy tab s6 is perfect for me still to this day and I don't want a tablet that has a 12inch or 13inch screen, it just too big and clunky to carry around.
Great review.I was leaning towards the lenovo m10 plus 3rd gen,but noticed too many problems on the os update. Also that s pen was a good addition to have and i also have a Samsung phone and watch so the s 6 lite is now a no brainer.
I have been using this tablet for 2 years now and I use it 80% of the time for streaming. The stereo speakers are excellent but it also still has an audio jack if you dig that. Never had any issues with the battery either. One charge per 2-3 days is enough depending on your usage. The other 20% I use it for drawing. Now Samsung's own drawing apps kinda suck from a creative standpoint. You're better off buying Infinite Painter pro ($10 one time purchase. The other drawing apps all have subscriptions). But the Samsungs Notes app is good enough if you just want to write down some notes for school or something. I do however had to replace the pen nib of the S-pen after 2 years. But they are cheap to buy from 3rd parties of Amazon for like $4 a package containing 5 nibs. I mainly use the S-pen to keep my screen clean but if you mainly use your fingers you may never need to replace the nib.
A very useful video though out. With Expandable SD card can I transfer my apps from my Sumsung pre installed app to the external Storage ?? Because I have a budget to buy 64gb model mainly for educational purposes, you know for note taking and Pdf reading. Is there any kind of problem have to face if i buy 64gb varient?? Please give me a suggestion. Thank you.
The only problem I've seen so far with the 64GB model is with the Android updates from Samsung in the sense that it takes more and more space each time. With the Android 13 update + the Samsung software skin (One UI 5.1) you are left with half the storage space of the 64GB model. It still works great, though. But it is better to buy an SD card for extra storage space and maybe hold off of future major updates to the operating system that could eat even more space from the main storage (as that is the only one where such updates are stored in. And I think apps can only be installed there as well). So, I would say, go for the one with 128GB if you want to have plenty of space for all future updates and many apps. If you don't care about having all future updates and lots of apps, then the 64GB version is a great device to use. Just make sure to buy a SD card to expand the storage space (just for storing files, though, as it seems you can't install apps there).
With stackable cash back and black Friday sale I was able to get this thing for about $135 bucks. 30 bucks has already been confirmed so Im just waiting on another 30. As of right now the table cost me only $160!
I own this tablet. If you've owned a tablet with better specs before, then don't buy this. But if you've never used a tablet as good as this, then buy it. But I'd still recommend you own a PC on the side even with this. If that USB type C could transfer a video feed, this tablet would have been great. But alas, it's just good.
Great work Ivan, just a quick one for you. Which would you suggest between this S6 lite 2022 and the Tab A8 2022 and lets say both at 64gb or even 128gb. Do you by any chance know if I could use a SIM card on either of these? Thanks in advance

This tablet seems to be the best smaller sized tablet. I wanted to get the z fold 5 before I saw the price💀. The bigger tablets aren't that great. They feel awkward to hold and no headphone jack😑.

Hey, thanks for your insightful reviews. Have a question - isn't 4 GB RAM too less for an android tablet running a custom OS? Is it true that s6 lite lags a lot?
At one point I had filled the 64gb to almost 60gb it started lagging, When I sifted everything to my SD card, I have about 32gb remaining I have no lag, keep in mind this is the 2019 edition with the weaker exynos chip, gotta say it lasted me much longer than my pervious iPad which has durability issues. However I plan on upgrading to the s9 fe when it comes out, don't consider this outdated tablet now, I too recommend you spend a little more and buy the s9 fe when it comes out if you are planning to buy a budget galaxy tab (s9 fe plus doesn't seem to be worth it)
I just found the 65mg storage one for $250 at Walmart. Since I mainly need it just to free up space on my phone, I ordered it. I have a pretty good laptop, and don't see the value in spending more. I wish it had more than just 4g ram thought. I debated better an equally priced 6g ram, lenovo p11 plus, but I have read a lot of bad reviews on it lately.
Hi maybe I am already too late but I am currently going back and forth on the Samsung S6 Lite 2022 or Samsung A8. I have read a lot about that the S6 Lite 2022 does have problem with light bleeding on the edge of the screen. I would love to know how widespread the problem is. My S8 Ultra is used for study purposes, mostly because I love the large screen and the ability to have a stylus at the ready. Just picked up this tablet for my parents. 12/3/2023 pc Richard and son has it on sale for 200. Picked 2 up with the 2 year warranty only because i heard this s6lite has a known screen bleeding issue. Was hesitant on choosing this or a tablet a8. But the 64gb and 4gb ram is enough for my parents to run their games and watch shows. Great Christmas present. Next stop buying the protectors from Amazon.
Could you link to where you have seen this Tablet go for $230 or $270? Currently I only see prices for $330 for the 128gb version. it would be muchly appreciated Thank You!
I bought the A9+ and I'm going to return it this week. It have multi touch issues, can't even play games OR even zoom in/out when using Google Maps 🤦♂️ Many people have this issue (Google it "Tab A9+ multi touch issues" and see). Bad move from Samsung.
Am deciding on the s7fe but since s9 is slated to be released on july, will there be a price drop for s7fe and does it usually drop immediately or months later?
Samsung is inconsistent with how long they drop the price and when exactly they do. I suspect before the s9 drops, they’ll adjust prices and get some of the S7FE and s8 inventory out
I mean, idk if 4GB of RAM is enough for me for like the next couple of years of usage..its a great tablet tho, make no mistake. But, multi-tasking on 4GB for the next 2 years or so..idk bro.
I have the A7 Lite and its very laggy even just playing games from the Google play store. I have to say I have been waiting in excitement for the new Google Pixel tablet, I though about getting the S6 Lite but I think i will need more than just 4GB ram. I think 8Gb will be go so my zwift app can open and not crash constantly. Or the One Plus pad that one seems to be good and fast too base off the reviews of it. I love Samsung ecosystem but they need to do better with budget tablets more space and ram so apps can open quicker and run more smoothly.
I was considering either S6 Lite or iPad 6 Mini. Being able to run multiple windows of apps won out for me. Multitasking is just so much better on Android. Either in standard mode or in DeX.
Somebody warn me before i buy this tablet if this have any internal issues like in the display ..... Because i don't want to get in trouble with another device like my OnePlus 9 R....
The only Difference is the slightly better chipset IT IS basically the Same Thing. The exynos Chip in there is good for daily use. S6lite is Not meant for gaming. Even the Snapdragon 720 g is Not meant for gaming. 2020 and 2022 people needing an Upgrade. Dont do it
The screenburn is noticeable, but not to the point it obstructs anything. I use mine mostly for illustrating and reading and it works great. Definitely worth it if you're on a budget but still want a competent tablet
Good tablet. But sadly in 2023 it's lacking behind: 4gb ram, snapdragon 720g, and tft screen... plus slight screen bleed (mostly with 2023 model) im sorry to say that in 2023 it's a big No No.
My brother has s6 lite that i tried to claim for ps2 emulation. Only to find out the specs werent good enough😢 So i had to settle for s7fe(wifi) snapdragon 778 and usb-c to hdmi support. Im hoping overheating wont become a issue for longer sessions.

Because of very less or no import tax compared to Australia
New fire will be here on the 14th. I’m actually pretty hopefulnb
Somebody warn me before i buy this tablet if this have any internal issues like in the display ..... Because i don't want to get in trouble with another device like my OnePlus 9 R....

The only Difference is the slightly better chipset
IT IS basically the Same Thing.
The exynos Chip in there is good for daily use.
S6lite is Not meant for gaming.
Even the Snapdragon 720 g is Not meant for gaming. 2020 and 2022 people needing an Upgrade. Dont do it
i heard there are alot of screen burn in problems and touch screen problems which makes me hesitant even though im seeing good fathers day deals
The screenburn is noticeable, but not to the point it obstructs anything.
I use mine mostly for illustrating and reading and it works great. Definitely worth it if you're on a budget but still want a competent tablet
they've fox that problem in 2022 ver
How about 9th gen. For extra soending, isn't that a way better tab.
lol....he can hold the s7 fe with one hand💀💀
Good tablet. But sadly in 2023 it's lacking behind: 4gb ram, snapdragon 720g, and tft screen... plus slight screen bleed (mostly with 2023 model) im sorry to say that in 2023 it's a big No No.
It was $215 for Prime Day, I'd say it's a yes yes
My brother has s6 lite that i tried to claim for ps2 emulation. Only to find out the specs werent good enough😢 So i had to settle for s7fe(wifi) snapdragon 778 and usb-c to hdmi support. Im hoping overheating wont become a issue for longer sessions.
bro you so big you making it look like a slightly larger smartphone in your hands
