I bought s9 like for 500 dollars in my country fe costs almost same, i think you can buy s9 if you find with a good price because probably s10 series will be much more expensive
I just bought a S9 FE yesterday, here in Brazil, at least on Amazon both devices are around the same price. I was surprised by you saying that there's a 100 USD gap there. Thank you for the review.
It's definitely not worth it here in Brazil, as it's new the price is very high. But it's a good opportunity to catch s9 fe. S9 fe R$2379 ($469) Vs S6 lite 2024 R$2249 ($443), at the "normal price" it would be a great product. R$1260 ($249)
I just recently purchased this as my 1st pen tablet, paid around 240 euros of it. For that price point, it was a no-brainer. It performs really well and drawing is very responsive. I've had no issues with palm detection, I've just turned that on in every app I use, if they have it. Battery performance is solid as well, though I don't really use it on anything else than sketching and digital inking.
I'm surprised that they decided to do a rerelease again, I got the 2022 version last year and it has been working well. But I agree with the other comments if you have a bit more budget you should get the tab s9 FE when it's on sale. However I'm sure this will also be on sale eventually and maybe this can be enough for some people. I also have a similar experience as Brad, sometimes you do see a bit of lag with the interface and sometimes it runs just perfect, the speakers are great, it has a headphone jack, micro SD slot. I have used it for simple sketches/drawings on Krita for now, I'm happy with it.
For pro work anyway it's better a desktop (saying this while being a proud owner of a S7 FE). The FE (anything from 7 to 9) line is really good, the S7 FE has great audio, it's snappy, great consumer device. I don't really see the point for professional work, though (many reasons why, don't want to make this comment longer). A pro monitor (and some Benqs are very close to that, yet affordable) and a classic tablet, or a pen display if you can't handle pen tablets, is so much better for actual work. Even an average 16.1"/17" laptop and a pen tablet provides with better 'professional' usage, and still fit in a bag. The FE line, and for same reasons, also the expensive line: the S9 Ultra, Plus, etc, the whole thing, really, is fun, and nice for sketching on the go, but for that - specifically pencil sketching- I have found that Amazon's Scribble (but really only for B/W/greys pencil sketching) is almost better, cheaper and better for your eyesight (no aggressive back light). Indeed, despite the propaganda, Scribble is much more responsive for drawing than a Remarkable, having deeply tested both (I happily kept the Scribble). Also more responsive in the pen strokes than Supernote, as well. While also good and comfy for books, tutorials reading (which you can just copy by USB port, no need to buy on Amazon), etc. Then again... Having lately doubts about if just picking a moleskine or a less trendy/money-grabbing old paper notebook, is not only just as good, but much better (for on-the-go sketching). Kind of more pleasant.

The 256Gb S9 FE has 8Gb of RAM, instead of the 6GB the 128Gb version has, which makes it very useable for larger files too. Paired with the higher refresh rate, quite a bit faster cpu/gpu and just a little larger screen, it's worth the extra €50, but even if it only was the 8Gb over 4/6Gb, it's worth it to me. Seeing this review confirms for my personal needs I made the better choice.
I chose xppen magic drawing 500$. 12 inch, 8\256gb, matte screen and the most important was that they have a TUV certification that doesn't make my eyes to burn and no headache
I recently got a Galaxy Tab s9 FE for $350. That seems to be the new normal sales price for it. I think that almost makes the s6 lite obsolete. Surely you get a lot more for only $100. But if the s6 starts going down in price it might be more attractive especially for kids or less demanding users.
A few questions. Using a matte screen protector would affect the sensitivity? Can this be plugged to a PC to work with Adobe illustrator? So the drawing is vectorial, right? Why would you use a huge canvas size?

At this point in 2024, the S6 lite in any version only makes sense if you are going to use it exclusively for drawing, because in the rest of the functions the Xiaomi Pad 6 (270 USD 256 GB + 50 USD pen) or the Lenovo M11 are infinitely better. Samsung has been stingy in updating its product.
Our daughter wants a drawing tablet. We ordered the Simbans PicassoTab as it is advertised as a drawing tablet. But I have now caught onto the s6 lite, and it seems the picasso is basically an android tablet. Would you recommend the Picasso or the s6 lite? Our daughter is just getting into this as she saw it in a book series she likes, but she likes to draw on paper.
Adobe Sketchbook is actually good for Tab S6 Lite , especially because you can block touches by fingers when the S-pen is within 1 cm / 0.3 inch nearby the screen
For anyone that got this thing for free like me and just want to know if it's worth keeping. Yeah it's decent. Doesn't need to be compared to anything else because of it's price. Can't speak for the art side of things but in general use it's pretty solid.
What about writing? I need a tablet for writing as I want to basically replace my physical paper notebook. Are there many good apps for writing that are compatible with this tablet?

I used your link to purchase one yesterday. Should get it tomorrow. Can you suggest the best program for beginners to draw? We aren't artists by any means but will want to fiddle around.
hello! ibis paint, the program that he is using in the video, I have heard is very good and robust. It's free with ads, but they're not too intrusive. Medibang is another free option, but I haven't used the mobile version so I don't know if it's as good as the computer program. Clip Studio Paint is a paid subscription program but probably the most robust program you can get on a mobile device, its basically the same as the computer version.
I have been drawing for 20+ years but i newer have done digital art is s6 lite sufficient to start learning digital art or should i go for something like s9 fe?
For a starting point s6 lite may be sufficient, but to be a bit future-proof, s9 fe would be better & more valuable. However I suggest you go to a Samsung store and get the experience first (not necessary to buy from the store) because then you get the actual sense of what you want (I did the same thing) .
I still have my 2020 Galaxy S6 Lite and it's still hold well my not-so-big files. It's a great tablet to start and finnish small arts and start big ones (but send them to the PC to finnish)
The only thing I really miss in my S6 Lite 2022 is the fingerprint reader. Otherwise it is an excellent tablet, fingerprint reader is the only thing that would make me think about upgrading.
@@kycerap204 no, the opposite. I would like to have a fingerprint reader in Tab S6 Lite. In fact, I recently bought a Galaxy Tab S8+ on a sale solely because I want a fingerprint reader.

the 2022 is 180 usd vs 2024 that is 485 usd. Maybe get the 2022 right?
What is the typical file size for a full blown comic or illustration?
Are there textured screen protectors that work with this tablet? Would it also help palm rejection?
I can't decide between 2024 s6 lite or Galaxy tab FE.
Better go for fe
Do you have the Wacom Movink 13. I’m considering it but awaiting your video.
What about writing? I need a tablet for writing as I want to basically replace my physical paper notebook. Are there many good apps for writing that are compatible with this tablet?
Does it still have an AUX port?
Just got mine for £135 brand new on ebay its going to be my first digital tablet dedicated for drawing
The pen doesn't have palm rejection?
Would one of the dedicated huion drawing tablets that need to be hooked up to a computer yield a better drawing experience for the price?
Why does this tablet keep existing??
Currently $199 on Amazon for Prime Big Deal sale. Crazy good deal.
which app are you using on the S6 lite for your graphic novel?
Clip studio paint and Ibis Paint X
Looks like Ibis Paint
A top quality renewed/used S8 with a return policy goes for like 350 USD for the 8gb ram model. I’d get that before almost any other budget tablet.
can i know what is the thing on your hand? and where did you got it i kinda need one
hi brad, i heard that a displaylink dock could be used to output hdmi from the Galaxy tab s9 fe. do you happen to own one?
if so could you please test the tablet with a huion pen display?
I love the tablet so much, but it's kinda a deal breaker that i can't connect it to my huion for larger screen.
much love❤
tested, didn't work with huion bcs huion kinda suck with their thing on android hence their own tablet didn't even use their pen tech.
xp pen might work but i don't own one
Still no hdmi out? is the only thing preventing me from buying one to carry everyday
Clip Studio Paint is a paid subscription program but probably the most robust program you can get on a mobile device, its basically the same as the computer version.
hipaint and sketchbook are the easiest to fiddle around.
is it 120hz
S9 fe currently £449 and S6 lite 2024!is £349. So much higher price points
Is the Face ID any better?
I have been drawing for 20+ years but i newer have done digital art is s6 lite sufficient to start learning digital art or should i go for something like s9 fe?
For a starting point s6 lite may be sufficient, but to be a bit future-proof, s9 fe would be better & more valuable. However I suggest you go to a Samsung store and get the experience first (not necessary to buy from the store) because then you get the actual sense of what you want (I did the same thing) .
Does this version of the Tab S6 Lite support HDMI-out with Dex?
nope
No it does not
try cabless
I still have my 2020 Galaxy S6 Lite and it's still hold well my not-so-big files. It's a great tablet to start and finnish small arts and start big ones (but send them to the PC to finnish)
What was the canvas size that made the app crash?
The only thing I really miss in my S6 Lite 2022 is the fingerprint reader. Otherwise it is an excellent tablet, fingerprint reader is the only thing that would make me think about upgrading.
Yours have a fingerprint reader?
@@kycerap204 no, the opposite. I would like to have a fingerprint reader in Tab S6 Lite. In fact, I recently bought a Galaxy Tab S8+ on a sale solely because I want a fingerprint reader.
Why can't i find the 2024 model in India? In Amazon it still shows 2022 model. 😢
How are its animating capabilities? I want to start learning animation because I've had around 5 years of digital art experience, and I'd like to get a tablet for that purpose, but I don't know exactly what one I should get.
does it make phone calls?
Does this come with 6 months of Clip Studio like my S8 Ultra did? That should be factored into the price of so.
Lets just said I have a computer where I can apply 6 month free then start to pay a wopping 1dolar per month for CSP. So for me at least, the comment on "factored price" is not that real.
The fact that also the program is about 50usd permanent for pc...
are you able to send tablets to people who need them for school?
I am an Apple user but I do love the Samsung tablets because they aren’t as expensive as an iPad and the pen is INCLUDED. Would the Tab S9 FE be a decent tablet to draw with? I would love an iPad Air but I don’t want to spend around $800
I still have my Original Tab S6 (not the Lite) and it's still going strong. Great series of tablets
Which would you recommend? This or the Magic Slab from XP Pen? Just asking coming from a chibi cartoonist or comic artist.
How would you say this stacks up to the XP Pen Magic Drawing pad? I know it's more expensive, but spec/experience wise?
I'd like to know how the xp pen magic pad coped with the large files. Where it fits between galaxy offerings.
Any reason to buy it instead of 2022 version? The only reason I see is that it will be supported longer.
slightly better performance with exynos 1280, but i recommend the s9 fe as the bare minimum
charges slowly (15 watts)
vs tab S9 fe: 45 watts
for 1/3 price of this samsung s6 2024 i bought lenovo P11 gen2. And i still believe its a better device for any creative person. Yes Spen is better but ntrig aint that bad. More screen space, better colors, similar performance, more ram.
Which pen is better the Samsung s pen with Tab S9+ or Lenovo Precision pen 3?
Does nomad sculpt run well on this?
Great video. What is the white pen you were using at the beginning? Thank you in advance 🙂
s pen
Thank you for this. The crash stopped me from wasting my money as the typical canvas I work with is 4000x3000.
Does it get eye comfort shield?
Any chances we will get process of you making your comic? As a digital maker myself I’d love to see those steps and why you take them.
How about that new Wacom Oled Review, really want to hear your thoughts on that
Hi. I'm a professional traditional artist. Lately I have been trying to learn digital art. Do you think this tab would be sufficient for a professional artist (although beginner in digital platforms) or should I save up for an ipad? I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks.
Can you please make videos for animation tab
What's great is the tab s6 lite comes with the pen
I prefer no charger but a sPen included than 129$ extra for a pen.
What app did you use in redmi pad 6 review vedio please tell? And where we can get that app
Amazon refurbished deals can have the s7 and s8 models (+, ultra, fe) as low as 300 maybe even lower if u don’t mind having refurbished product I’d recommend to look around those instead of an s6 lite
You seem to be doing more reviews on Samsung and standalone drawing tablets pls when you start doing drawing tabs again pls review the veikk vk1200 because my friends keep telling me it's nice and all but I don't really know
Absolutely I have my eye on that one as well
@@leahscontemporary exactly
I’ve had mine for a while anyone knows if there is palm rejection…. I was looking for it today with no luck
lol didn’t realize u were going to mention that…any solution?
I kind of want a Tab S9 FE, but I hate the idea of buying a tablet that came out in 2023. It won't be supported with updates for as long. Just doesn't feel like a smart purchase.
hey i have a question, i bought the 2024 edition not to long ago and it's been a life saver in terms of endeavors with art, however i am finding the Spen's tip that came with the pen to already be wearing down, do you have any recommendations for finding replacements if it finally does wear down to much?
What drawing app are you drawing on this video??
I see this for like $150, would it bw good for that price?
bargain man
A few months ago, I bought the 2022 version of the S6 Lite, and it's really perfect for my needs. I got it for about the same price as this one seems to be now, because back then, it wasn't out yet and was supposed to be almost double the price. I don't regret it at all (and with what I heard about the S9 FE now, I probably wouldn't ever have got this anyway.) Mine's nice and portable and perfectly fits all my needs. :3
I have the S9 FE, and I'm glad I spent the extra money. But I'm happy to see Samsung still making a tablet for every budget.
Watching this video on Tab S6 Lite 2022...
I'm planning a graphic novel as well and I wanted to get the Samsung Galaxy tab s6 lite. But it wasn't available in my location 😢
