The build is cool and all, but being that that particular truck was in such great original condition I wouldn't have touched it other than just a freshening. Should have kept it original
Original is nice to look at . But that has the same look for 85% of the population and the ability to travel further and in comfort. I drove those old trucks, and the hardest part of the day was the driving
I agree with that old fuel truck they ruined isn't going to sell if they ever sell it due to the fact it's not original anymore they could've just updated the brakes The engine but no they totally destroyed everything that was original including the engine.
If they just changed the engine, adjusted the suspension and brakes to modernization... added the AC. But left everything else alone. It would of been perfect. Instead they copied the modern trucks into an oldie making it feel cheap and useless. Like a fat hooker with a slim shady tattoo.
Yeah, I got no problem (well, nearly no problem) with someone modding their own truck in whatever way they like, but I sure get riled when I see people wasting good parts that somebody else could have used in their restoration!
I was dying to hear the engine turn over on the new build the whole time 😵 Beautiful work, first time seeing you and your crew and will definitely watch more content but how could y’all NOT show this bad boy in action
I have a 1951 I used every day even just to the grocery store . Has the Mustang super 6 . Hauled 40 foot flat bed trailer with cars to the scrap yard and mobile homes up to 12'×60' . It looks like you have a model 20 .mine is a 22 and the 24 had a cummins 220 as the top engine option . With the five speed màin and three speed ox traveling not quite on the governor was 65 top end
If that were a very poor or fair condition old truck i would be very in favor of these modification but that was a piece of history and i think it devaluated the truck…. But doni think this truck is cool of course yeah this truck has serious and good tasted mod on it ! Just for the original condition of the truck this is a bit sad to me
blaspheme! Please save all the old parts so it can be restored. I have photos of my dad driving Mack trucks from that era. And it’s a small world because he had a run between Kansas City and East St Louis hauling fuel.
That was an awfully nice truck to cut up. I understand its what ever the client provides but man! Their can't be too many as good as that one hanging around.
What do these 3 replies have to do with my statement? The truck is beautiful, but I don't understand why they removed the air-brakes,and put slush brakes on the tractor.
I've never seen you do a Chevy S10 what could you do with it? It is a extended cab ZR2 package. What motor would you put I? Would you put it please let me know thank you? I love your show
Bill I like your style you and your crew is the best I looking for to take your up high like that white ford truck I know you and your team can put your suburban in the air with a bad speakers inside
Sadly, they didn't show it because it wasn't what you're thinking. It wasn't to be able to slam the truck and trailer into the weeds, the air ride was only installed to make the ride more comfortable. Not to lift and lower the truck. Watch the ending again, when they first show the finished truck. There's not even any room to lower it between the top of the tire and the wheel well.
Yea. Did you notice how Bill said something like "and drop it down a little bit" ? They don't do anything a little bit there lol. If it's made to be low it scrapes the ground. If it's got a lift, you need a ladder to get in. So I guess the air ride was actually for the quality of the ride, and you probably can drop it at most an 1" or 2" but they didn't make it that way. It's just a by product of air ride. It most likely would have been a let down had they shown the truck lower only an inch and a quarter.🤣
At least make it where you can actually use it. And a pickup diesel isn’t exactly size for a truck that can gross 40k lbs either. Make sure to keep the air brakes too because juice brakes gonna suck at stopping all that
Thank you for making this awesome video. Even in the recent dip I still manage to make $35,000 profit every 12 days from my investment of $3,500 capital God bless expert Michael Allen
Noooooo the plumber should be stainless steel , prettier and last longer than black color , also shines all the time , OWNER please change it,, good job. And proffisional mechanics 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Da lastima semejante reforma en algo en impecable estado de conservación vergüenza ajena esas reformas solo deben darse en vehículos que fueron abandonados olvidados en el tiempo y darle una segunda oportunidad de vida -10 su trabajo

They didn't want it original

How long before it is in wreck because anyone can " drive it"
Some of y’all seem to think that there is only one of these .
Fantastic job. The customers reaction was priceless Keep up the great work
My grandpa has the same truck but he put a cat 3208 in it with a 10 speed. And sidepipes
must be a badass ride
Sounds awesome!
That is a beautiful tractor/trailer rig !!!
I’d prefer it as was, original
If they just changed the engine, adjusted the suspension and brakes to modernization... added the AC. But left everything else alone. It would of been perfect. Instead they copied the modern trucks into an oldie making it feel cheap and useless. Like a fat hooker with a slim shady tattoo.
What a crime. That nice originalish truck. To "smoke comin out the stacks".
Front bumper is nice work though.
I was thinking the same. Why could they not get a old body and put it on a new chassis.
Probably a sentimental type of thing. Its a 1953 and dad looks older than that. So maybe it was his first truck or something..
These guys are masters of their trade. Great job! 😎
Man you could have saved the springs why’d you cut them !!
Yeah, I got no problem (well, nearly no problem) with someone modding their own truck in whatever way they like, but I sure get riled when I see people wasting good parts that somebody else could have used in their restoration!
Just watched Loud & Lifted
Keep it coming! I like it.
love the concept, I just can't understand why something like this has to be scripted. This could be cool AND wholesome.
It's so painful
Sweet classic it will be perfect at the Walcott Iowa 80 truck stop
I was dying to hear the engine turn over on the new build the whole time 😵
Beautiful work, first time seeing you and your crew and will definitely watch more content but how could y’all NOT show this bad boy in action
That was the plan, but it rained hard the whole day of the reveal shoot :(
Texas metal please keep making more new videos we the people need it!!!

It’s not really a rare tractor that’s like a 10,000- 15,000 dollar truck
Maybe 15 000 but in the condition he was and the tanker at the back could cost an other 10 grand so yeah in perfect condition all restored its a shame
It's what the owners wanted.
I love Texas Metal
That’s one Sweet looking Truck I would be proud to own it cheers ❤️💪👍🦘🇦🇺
Bill and his crew are craftsmen.
Restomod Rig. Badass!
Bill is the best
Bill you're blessed with a terrific crew.great work as usual.
Bill Carlton is THE MAN!
Just stunning guys! Shame no test drive vid.
Me and the old man had a 55 white tanker. He built a business around that truck.
You did a real stand up job on the truck and trailer but we didn't get to hear it run.
No start and drive?? Come on you're killing me!
I hope they have another follow-up episode of them driving the truck..
They never show that..
Looks great, should have kept the wheels blue instead of the aluminum.
blaspheme! Please save all the old parts so it can be restored. I have photos of my dad driving Mack trucks from that era. And it’s a small world because he had a run between Kansas City and East St Louis hauling fuel.
You guys. ROCK !!
Perfect💯✨
Wow I like this so much.
Love to see go through it paces
I seen nothing wrong with this truck as is
Beautiful Truck 🚚
I would enjoy seeing an old peterbuilt the same age. But with a new amenities of a modern truck
Original estaba ermosa pero restaurada quedó uuffff de lujo
Just AMAZING !!!
Fantastic
Uufff 💯
Big fan of this channel…love from Bangladesh ❤
Greetings from Croatia! 🙋♂️
That was an awfully nice truck to cut up. I understand its what ever the client provides but man! Their can't be too many as good as that one hanging around.
Great looking truck!! 😍👍
If that were my truck,I would be very passed, if you took the airbrakes off my trailer!
Yeah definitely not a fan of some of the stuff they did I was ok with the 12v but why make it automatic.
@@15mroush If you can't drive a manual you shouldn't be driving this rig.

@Tom Roberts first time on the internet? I was agreeing with you and adding my thoughts as well.
I've never seen you do a Chevy S10 what could you do with it? It is a extended cab ZR2 package. What motor would you put I? Would you put it please let me know thank you? I love your show
I love to have a single axle one
Larry is my neighbor and told me about the truck and it is parked in his driveway today
Бомба 💥
It was a shame to see it cut up but at least it was done tastefully
Front bumper should be chrome, frame should have been painted body color
Bill I like your style you and your crew is the best I looking for to take your up high like that white ford truck I know you and your team can put your suburban in the air with a bad speakers inside
I was looking forward to seeing it drop on the airbags, especially the trailer. Did I miss it?

I figured. I just wish they hadn't left the talk of dropping it for parades and shows in the video @3:59, then not doing/showing it. Cheers.

I'm good with it. I wouldn't want a classic rig like that to be overpimped. My point is they oversold the idea.
1953 Tanker Truck
As a HD Truck mechanic it was sad to see such a pristine old rig chopped up. still interesting to see such a rig rest modded
cumins 12v eehh cheap reliable simple power but a volvo 770 hp motor and alison 6speed is what you want 🏎
Home run MT for Texas Metal!😎
wow amazing job
The shows are awesome but it's hard to hang in and stay when there's a commercial every 30 seconds on the TV station. So I usually leave.
👏👏👏👏👏
If we can't tune this up, we're going to lose a shop....
These guys do amazing work a lot of other shops do but we cannot forget the props really go do and that's Jesse James West Coast customs
At least make it where you can actually use it. And a pickup diesel isn’t exactly size for a truck that can gross 40k lbs either. Make sure to keep the air brakes too because juice brakes gonna suck at stopping all that
God I finished watching it and it isn’t any different than a one ton pickup. What a waste
My name is scott
Didn’t even show the airbags
Thank you for making this awesome video. Even in the recent dip I still manage to make $35,000 profit every 12 days from my investment of $3,500 capital God bless expert Michael Allen
HOW! I would really appreciate if you show me how to go about it. Please can you list the platforms?
Same here, I started with $3,000 now earning $28,000 bi-weekly profits with his trading program
He's so amazing i still cannot believe one can be this exceptional when it comes to Bitcoin activities
He's a great personality in the state 🇺🇸 I'm also earning from him.
I'm from the UK I've been trading with Mr Michael Allen for a year and he has proven to be trusted and best broker. I strongly recommend him

Just junk it. It should stay the way it is
New Radiator?
😜
Should have left it the way it was.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛
I would have left it as is. And deal with it
Drift it ❤
- 👍 👍 🔧 - 👀❤🤍💙
Nice Job
Original wheels were better, to me.
putting a hat on a frame and chassis is BS who cares...been done again and again for clickbait
The quality of work and personalities here do not need the scripting. Just let them do their thing and capture it. This is so cringey.
I just don't get it, why would you torch off all the original parts instead of saving them and give back to the owner
This is just really bad.
Ruined
No, not that one! They turned an iconic truck into hillbilly trash.
Could be a lot better if it wasn't scripted
Scripted shows suck. But I like the truck.
The same old tiresome scripted drama makes this show unwatchable. Cost would be nice to know.
i dont know how you can slag a rolls royce engine the british are proper engine builders
Arréglame mi troca 1979 ford
