Hey bud..Awsome video. I drove myself crazy researching 2 year's while I saved. I have that identical boat. My 1st kayak and I love it. I do fish a 900 acre lake, so I did purchase a 2.5 Suzuki outboard, with a 6ft single outrigger. I only weigh about 150, and do have a heart condition. That's why I wanted my motor, and the hoodoos are becoming amazing. I upgraded the stock pedals to mountain bike pedals. You'd be surprised how much more comfortable and an easy extra mph or two. Good luck. Be safe..
Looks like a nice yak for the money. After owning it for a couple of months, what is your impression? Have you found any major drawbacks or would you buy it again? Seriously considering grabbing one. Thanks
I have not found any major drawbacks. I bought self bailing scupper plugs for it, that has helped out with water coming in. There is better yaks for sure, but again not for the money there is not a better yak in my opinion. I have also added a railblaza safety light to it. I Iwould definitely buy one again.
@@thomasoutdoors8507 thanks a lot I got a new tempest 120P and side rails seems to close to the pedals for the rod holder I like your set up Will install a Garmin striker 4 plus ok the pedals systems Thanks again
You are welcome if you angle the rod holders along the rails you should be fine, that's what I did to them. I also just added a railblaza visibility light to the kayak.
got this brand kayak for my wife’s birthday. It’s pretty nice but I have to say their checkout process asking for a 20% tip to buy something is frankly insulting. I would have went an bought a Brooklyn at the point but their equivalent was out of stock and I was racing the bday deadline. I like the tandem pedal enough that I’m thinking of a 2nd one. But I’ll be shopping another brand. It’s insane to ask for a 400$ tip to purchase something online with 0 human interaction.
Well in calm water it stays pretty dry, if you get in to some bigger swells you get water in it. So what I did was buying scupper plugs from kayakscupperplugs.com that are self draining. And it has worked really good.
I lived in Bayou Vista 27 yrs . Great fishing down toward railroad bridge to the east. Nice kayak
It’s a hit or a miss around that area.

I just pulled the trigger on that same kayak, can hardly wait for it to arrive . thanks. For the review.
glad you liked the review.
Would you think it would handle good in the ocean
As far as the first generation I think it would it would as long as the weather is good. But I would not go out by my self.
Hey Baw
How long it take to get delivered?
How shallow of water does she run in?
I fish reds and specks in da bayou
I would say about 1foot and a half with the prop down.

Yes I do, it has worked out great for me. Of course you can find a better buy, but not for the money. The yak is stable and tracks great.
Good job
Thank you
