Hey bro, just an update on my Hoodoo Tempest Hybird. I ended up just fun fishing this summer. And getting used to my Blue lagoon. I ended up purchasing a bixpy J2 Rudder mount. I purchased the vibe gravity rudder kit, with a 2nd bixpy battery. fish 2 large lakes, one is 4600 acres, the other is about 6,000 acres. Mounted my landing gear, FF, Cabela's 12v battery with a USB/VM/CIGG Plug in, for charging my electronics in a 30 cal ammo box. I was going to design a 10ft single pontoon and run the 2.5 Suzuki on the island hopper outboards fitted side transom, like KEY WEST KAYAK FUSHING. But I weigh 151lbs, 5ft 7 1/2" Anyway loving this kayak, and no need to upgrade. Definitely recommend that bixpy, if you freshwater fish. I also realized with all my accessories and add-on's, the tempest hull is almost identical to the Vibe seaghost and shearwater. Be safe..🙏🤟🎣

@@ith0rn329 I want a Hobie!
Maybe asked already is it pretty solid?
I guess it wasn't to bad for the price...I had to upgrade pretty quicky.. .wanted more room and stability..... but for the $$ wasn't to bad for a starter pdl
it looks stable
Oh it is, I can stand on it!! Just not as stable as the Bonafide
If you own this kayak or one like it with the flimsy plastic back hatch cover on the back.
SECURE THE HATCH TO THE BUNGEE CORD WITH ZIP TIES!!
MINE FLEW OFF ON MY SECOND TRIP AND IT WAS BUNGEED DOWN!
I run floats on all my rods. Mainly because I cheap and don’t want to loose any rods
Yeah I need to start! Id be sick if I lost one of my Curados
pedal drive go reverse?
Yup
I have a scupper plug transducer mount. So there’s no arm.
Yeah a couple of my buddies did the same thing! I may end up going that route
@@BASSnBEER I got mine from Navarrekayakfishing.com. But not sure what different mounts they sell.
This almost looks exactly like the older model of the native slayer.
Very similar I believe
How tall are you. I’m 6” and a little heavy set so I need a little leg room lol.
5'10 I just installed some 3" seat risers that should give me some more room
@@BASSnBEER alright I’ll look for your vid
@@dustinsiler730 ive got a tournament this weekend and will be the first time using it with the seat risers...well first time using this yak in a tournament period lol but ill definitely mention them in the video and let everyone know what I think
7mph winds and 2 foot waves this thing kept on track. I did get wet and the front hatch does not seal well. Grass is its kryptonite of course. Plastic is very soft on the tempest get keel guards. Pedal drive is great paint is not already chipping off. Had it 2 weeks. I have a rudder mod for bottom rudder check it out.ua-cam.com/video/8QKowajCyK4/v-deo.html
Little late lol but I'm about to get one, if that's a problem I'll just buy the sealant rubber and line it around, then it should water tight.
@@Postman307 it's a great yak for the price.
Carp on plopper?! That crazy lol
Yeah man when we had that crazy cicada hatch.....they were munching on them...I caught a few on the plopper....was a blast really lol
@@BASSnBEER awesome I was wanting to try those cicadas but Idk about now lol kinda out of season maybe? Lol looking into a yak too so I can do more fishing...and maybe run into ya kus I'm in Knoxville too lol
Me again... I extended the back of mine to double the steering.
2" PVC about 8-10" long
Slice down one side
Heat and flatten it out
Cut to size legthwise
Reheat the middle fold over a 2x4
Atach to the back.
Here's the video of my mods before
Selling it 20 minutes ago.

@@BASSnBEER don't understand the Q
@@Manuel_Z_Kayaks you said you sold it, right?
Seen u at I c king
Ahhhh cool, that awesome!! Was you loading the kayak onto the SUV possibly?
@@BASSnBEER black car u parked beside
@@donnawatson5768 gotcha I remember!! Yall were bank fishing there!! Yall ever catch anything?
@@BASSnBEER I thought by the way u looked at me u was thinking that but my kids had kayaks
@@donnawatson5768 ahhh gotcha!! Well appreciate you checking out the channel!! 🤙
I’m 6’5”. You think I’d be able to pedal just fine without my knees being in my face? Lol
Probably wouldn't be to comfortable honestly
@@BASSnBEER bummer. Thanks for answering though!
I don't get it why upgrade to a hobie when you got a great kayak for a fraction of the price. Hobie probably overrated and overpriced
Fish a tournament out of both and you would completely understand brother!
No more hoodoos in 2024.....
@@Elfraty negative
It’s NOT a Paddle Drive. It’s a Pedal Drive!!
Obviously lol I may have said paddle in the video, but I know the difference between a paddle and a pedal drive kayak 🤣
@@BASSnBEER Obviously?? If it was obvious than I wouldn’t have corrected you. And you “may have said it” the ENTIRE video. Seems to me you have no idea what you are even talking about.
@jbparker5466 yeah, I have no clue what I'm talking about, what so ever lol I'm sure your a genius and know everything, which is why your watching my video about the kayak lol who gives a damn how I pronounced it, you know exactly what I ment, you just had to leave a goofy ass comment 🤣 your the first person out of around 40k people who has said somthing!!!
