    This reminds me of my time on a carrier. I will need to compare this to my photos I took when we had three carrier groups come together for a photo op.

    18:35 the Flag you are flying has 50 stars which only existed from August 21, 1959, as Hawaii was added to The United States. the 49th star addaed, was Alaska (January 3, 1959).
    In April 1942, when the Doolittle Raid took place, the flag sported 48 stars and had been since 1912when New Mexico joined in January 6, and Arizona in February 14, 1912.
    So your version of the flag is 17 years too early.

      My Projects take me multiple days, which makes it hard to put into a video without taking out boring parts and speeding everything up. But if there are some stuff you want a dedicated tutorial about, just tell me, and I will see what I can do

      @@mlt-studios It’s so hard to say right away that my level is average, but I often have difficulties with something, or repeating after an accelerated video, I can’t do something. but I really liked the patreon, despite the fact that their content is weaker or no worse than yours, believe me, if there was an opportunity to buy a subscription or make a one-time payment for viewing the full work process, I would pay with pleasure, looking at the number of subscriptions to the patreon of other artists, I think there are a lot of people like me, but thank you, if you have any questions, I will write in the comments under the video, delete them, and good luck

      I understand, but the whole process takes me multiple days. It would take forever explaining everything, which would just lead to me not explaining it at all and not recording the process at all, since it is too much effort.
      But I f you have specific questions or want some dedicated tutorial about a specific part of the video, just tell me. Maybe I’ll find the time at some point to do it.

    • @mlt-studios
      @mlt-studios  4 місяці тому

      I will do that again at some point. It just takes so much more time writing a script, recording the voice over and editing it to match the videos, then just doing a Timelapse.
      I’m currently trying out some more effective ways, where I don’t write a script etc, but since I’m no native english speaker, I have difficulties with speaking freely.

    Nice. Really great results. Only suggestion I'd have is to add a little more haze, the destroyer on the right especially seems a little too clear for the distance it's at. Water looks amazing.

    Looks fabulous but it felt like the ships would sink in the water a bit mode and it would have felt more realistic if you would have increased the animation speed on the plane during takeoff and added a little smoke trail from it.

    • @glenn_r_frank_author
      @glenn_r_frank_author 5 місяців тому

      The planes on that model of the USS hornet were B-25's... the planes used in the Doolittle bombing raid. they were not navy planes they were army air corps bombers and did not use a catapult nor would they have a trail of smoke anyway. This scene could only be the Doolittle raid because B-25s were never again flown off the deck of a carrier.

    • @mlt-studios
      @mlt-studios  5 місяців тому +1

      lol, I’m not at all familiar with the details of that carrier. I just used the planes that came with that model.
      I thought about adding a wee bit of smoke to the plane during take of, but in the end it was too much of a hassle to set up a smoke sim, render everything etc. but yea, I think it would have looked more realistic.
      Regarding how much the ships sink in the water. Do you mean they would go up and down more noticeable?
      Regarding the realism of the scene: since I could not find any good US cruisers, I took British ones. Not sure how realistic that is. But again, historical realism was not the goal of the shot.

      @@mlt-studios No the animation isn on point I mean that the water level could go up a tiny bit more or the ship could go down a tiny bit.

      @@mlt-studioswhat you did with the planes was the right way to go. When these planes are flying at airshows, their exhaust is barely visible, and in the right conditions you can’t see it at all.

    • @mlt-studios
      @mlt-studios  5 місяців тому

      Why is that? I’ve used UE5 before, but am much more skilled in Blender since I’ve used it for so long. The rendering time on this was not that bad, which would be the main reason to use UE5 for me? Or are there specific things in this video, that would have been much easier in UE?
