This looks like a lot of fun and I like the fact that the audio wasn't at drown out the world levels.
That was a very nice thing. Far too often the music/audio levels are set so high that you HAVE to turn them down just to enjoy the game and not have your brains leak out ya ears. XD
The lost remote theory? I love it!
Hehe, I rarely refine the names of my ideas down, but yeah. The Lost Remote Theory should be its name. ^^
I loved Dragon Warrior
It was honestly a pretty solid single RPG game. Better than the Game Boy "Final Fantasy" games...

Heh, fun fact about me. I misunderstood CINCO DE MAYO, which is on May 5th, as el Día de los Muertos, aka Day of the Dead. And for a long time told people I was born on the day people died. (Which isn't wrong but that's like saying I was born on a day of the week... no shiet I was.)
I... often forget my birthday is coming up until friends are like "Happy Birthday!" and I'm like, "Who?" XD
I was 100% expecting you to choose cats there. 🙀Anyway the whole start of this seems to closely emulate the personality test the player has to take in DQ3. I don't recall it being in the original NES/Famicom version, but it was in the GBA remake, and I think the version that got released on the Switch. Assuming it works the same here as it did there, the hero's personality determines his stat growth rates.
I also can't say for certain if robbing civilians' homes would have any repercussions here, but I've never played a DQ game that considers sifting through every barrel, jar, bag, drawer, and closet in the land to be morally questionable. Take from that what you will.

Oh? That's fun to know. I didn't play the DQ2-7 games. 8 was when I started to get back into the mainline games.
And, yeah it looks like my stats are on the path of the "Wise" stat wise. XD So this is going to be either really fun or really rough.
Oh, the OG games didn't give two rat tails about robbin' people. But, then again, the first one didn't have the quiz off the bat either. So, I'll keep my mind on the level of if I was playing an OG fallout game. XD
I'll refer to these titles as Quest instead of Warrior, even though I played Warrior. I'm old enough to have received the game for free, because of my Nintendo Power subscription.
Anyway, I saw a playthrough of DQ1 recently, and the player talked about how your character name determined what your stat growth would be in the game. I think that's what the quiz at the beginning was doing too.
Torches were in the original game and were an annoying necessity.
I wonder if there will be more accessories in this game. In the original there were only a handful.
Quest often sounded better in my head than Warrior did. WOW, you got a free game from Nintendo power? Uh, oh wait, I know why I didn't. I didn't have the subscription to them. It was just too easy to pick up the latest one from a store. XD
Oh! That's cool to know. I hope the name and the quiz thing aren't BOTH altering my stats. A sneaky mage in this game is a bad time.
Ugh, I'll make sure to pick up a few before going into a cave then. Yeah torches...
That will be fun to find out! Accessories are pretty fun when they have good effects.
Hey Fade. I can get behind that religious view. Mine is different but yeah. I think we are either a computer program or a science experiment. 🤷
Honestly, if it wasn't the "Lost Remote Theory" the science experiment idea is the next one in line. After all, we always view the "Known universe" as a disc shape. Well, a petri dish is disc shaped, and what happens when you use an eye dropper in the middle of that dish? Aka, big bang idea.
So, yeah. I can get behind that view of an experiment too. If anything, our views are like the same thing, just viewed with different lens. After all, most experiments you have to just let them run, no matter the outcome. Losing the remote to the TV is basically the same thing if you don't pull the plug on the TV. XD (Yes mental jumpin' around there but that's how our brains work 90% of the time. so XP)

I wonder if at the house you can rest for free? And if the small bit of path showing on the right when youre on the screen of the “front yard” goes anywhere

Yo play dragon warrior monsters!!! I fell into an absolute time pit playing that game as a kid. Wish game boy color had better play time record's haha.
Hell yeah it was a time sink. But what a good one it was.
I might look into getting a rom of Dragon Warrior Monsters and play it for the channel. I do have fond memories of that one. Buuut I also might not due to so many bigger companies crackdowns of roms and the like. : /

@@fadepanther6224 have you played the newest installment on the switch? It's pretty good. Not quite as good as the original but it has pretty much all the same elements.

Yes there were torches in the original. And they sucked. Light magic was soooo mich better!

The dragon scale and fighters necklace (if this is true to the original) are accessories that have permanent effects as long as you wear them.
This kinda looks like you made a character to be a mage in a game where magic sucks...
XP Both are awesome pets, and "just say the first thing that comes to your mind" rarely is the choices they put in front of me. "Dogs or Cats?" My brain goes, "Unicorns?" XD

Fair! I'm just confused as to why they would allow the PC to ask some rando lady to follow them around the town.
I wanted armor, so I could survive and I start with a weapon, a cheap bad weapon, so I didn't think it was going to be an issue. I was wrong clearly.
Neat! I'll keep my eye out for the Fighter's Necklace then. Dragon Scale has been nice. ^^
Not my choice to make a mage... but oh well.
