I started playing this and I went and sold EVERYTHING to be able to afford the sword. I got extremely lucky with drops and sold those and was able to get the scale, shield, and leather armor pretty quick too. It was nice. The bank is scam in the first area but when the monsters start dropping lots of money it is worth it. Helps you save up. There was another chest in that torch forest, just north of the guy but either it wasn't impressive or it required an item we don't have yet to get. Glad you are having fun with this one. The gold cost between upgrades is insane.
Man, i went 0/2 on the home. Ugh When you crossed the bridge toward the end there i was expecting the worst based on the original…this game is like FF2, no real boundaries and you can quickly wander into trouble. Good series though!
I believe you can save on the inn by goong to the castle. In the original you could go in there then go up, right, and down. Theres a guy that would refill your magic points. You can use him abd cast heal over and over then tallk to him again to refill your magic.
