- This is one we've been working on a long time, an intimidating song that we had to be very careful with, but we're really happy with how it came out.

Sober is such a heavy dark song and to be able to keep it heavy and dark while still adapting it into a crunchy metal groove is absolutely epic. Another one on constant repeat.
Thank you!
We recorded this almost a month ago, but had to listen to it a few times before we were brave enough to finish it.
Thanks for listening!
🤘
✊👽🤟
It's crazy how many emojis there are. 🦍
Fantastic!
Thank you!
I grew up with the Original Sober by Tool in Elementary School this sounds different with the drums and guitar than the Original Sober by Tool
This is true, it's almost completely different. We imitate their drums a little toward the end, but that was an homage.
We don't really do traditional covers, we just play songs we love and hope for the best.
🤘 Left hand Devil Horns because i am left handed
Nice, it takes me forever to find the ones I want.
I'll be honest, with the frequency of how often Dread Parade releases these songs, I find myself sometimes wondering if it's an AI. If it is, then I'm amazement how human it sounds and the emotions that are conveyed from a simple computer program. I really want to believe that it's an actual human singing these songs, but with the advancement of technology, I guess we can never be too sure until the band makes a video debut. Either way, this song is awesome.
I want my own Dalia either way
@@bankmystr Agreed, I think that she's awesome. It's just I'm the type of person that has to overanalyze everything.
If I was an AI, couldn't I just use an AI to make a video?
We're actually able to do it way faster than you realize. We have hours and hours recorded, the only thing holding us back is mixing, and we're getting faster all the time.
We're not like other bands, we're more like other UA-cam channels. We're making way more songs than real-life bands do, but that's because they're doing other things. We're not.
We can't build success on a good song, we have to keep making new ones. The few hits per day our best songs get mean nothing to YT, new songs are required constantly, forever. We're up for it.
Compare it to trying to put together a good 15 minute UA-cam video, something scripted and edited, 15 minutes of cover songs would be easier.
We don't want to seem like a content farm, but we could if we wanted.
Also, I don't leave my home at all. Neither of us participate/cooperate with normal society. You'd be amazed how much you can get done if it's the only thing you do. If you freak out when something interferes, but you're perfectly content to work on it every waking moment.
If I am an AI, I hope I never become aware. This is how I want to think things are.

@@DreadParade You do raise a few good points. I still love your music nonetheless. :)

Kids Cover Sober By Tool / O'Keefe Music Foundation sounds different than the Original Sober by Tool
I love that one, too. Those kids usually rock.
BLASPHEMER!
Your disapproval is noted, sir.
get a cop or doctor to tell me that.... not a brainwashed12step cult person,....
.
I don't think that's what the song's about.
NOOOOO LEAVE TOOL ALONE stick with your kelly clarkson
I understand that people sometimes have negative opinions, but accusing me of owning Kelly Clarkson is just hurtful.
@@DreadParade hey you know what that was cool that you took it like a champ. I officially have a whole new opinion of you. I make music too and occasionally a cover here or there but I never release them outside of SC or BL. You went for it and no matter what i think you had fun doing it thats what counts. I dig your voice just not for this. Im on Soundcloud and Bandlab etc hmu maybe we can do something together, musically.
@@DreadParade I actually have a track that is over a decade old but never released it since there is a whole section meant for a female vocalist but never found one with a soft voice everyone tried to make it low but im looking for a more angelic voice not raspy. Gotye sat on the song that made him famous for the same reason. If any interest lmk
@@uselessagent7342 Thank you! I completely understand your reaction, I felt the same way about this cover, for the same reasons.
Sober is perfect and beloved, any change is a step down, and can feel like a desecration.
I also agree about my voice. My taste in music is way heavier than my voice.
@@uselessagent7342 I didn't know about Bandlab at all until you mentioned it, but it looks like a lot of fun, we're going to sign up and try to figure out how it works later.
I'd enjoy trying your song, but you'd have to keep your expectations at zero. I'm not known for accomplishing things.
But it wouldn't be raspy, I wish I had some raspiness, but I have no rasp.
