mount your mic boom off the desk, wrap the springs on the arm and put a good gimbal head on the backside of your cam mount with the bumper gaskets in it, that'll just about nix all carry through from nudges and knocks as well as give you greater precision on cam position :)
Having the high zoom camera way out on the end of the adapter arm doesn't help matters, as you're also getting all the flex of the printed adapter. What will help more than any of the above would be to increase the amount of weight in the head (you may need stronger springs on the upper arm).
Yeah having the microscope on the end of the arm was always going to cause the vibration. But its an upgrade to what I had. There is always a compromise in any system.
