Thanks for the comment This is a really big point for me. I see lots of people rush out and buy the first printer they see and say "OK...... Now what" Holding off and really thinking about what you are going to do, makes for a better choice of machine for your use case. Also, it gives the opportunity to start learning CAD without spending money. (It's easy to spend and hard to earn)
I had a passing thought about getting a printer but wasn’t entirely convinced and honestly I’m still not. But instead of being semi-interested in just the mere topic, I’m now actually considering doing more research on prices and more or less just building the entire thing. I think it’d be fun to learn just how to build them and if I start small I think I could easily begin understanding how the larger ones work over time. Thanks for the video my guy, didn’t know I’d have another potential hobby in my future!
Be warned - this hobby is super addictive 😉 . Once you delve into the concepts of how these machines work, you will understand how many other machines work like Laser Cutters, CNC Mills and Plasma Cutters. It really drops the cloak. Scratch building my first printer lead me to a place where i was able to take in a broken laser cutter and restore it. Good luck and remember to enjoy the journey 👍
@@IQWorkshop oh I will! I've been looking up various smaller kits that seem to be relatively simple to the larger ones. i could be wrong but thats what makes this exciting. idk if ill even end up regularly printing I just want to build them so bad. I AM lucky enough to have some access to CNC machines so i hope that could be of some use. either way i appreciate it. also i love the vids i started watching more from your channel last night, I hope you can find time (and motivation if need be) to upload more frequently cause its very entertaining to me.
Yes as a matter of fact, it has. I completely destroyed my SD card due to the number of read write cycles of this implementation. I fixed this by leveraging a function of the raspberry pi4. Using the utility disk, I updated the firmware to allow USB booting and now use a 128GB pen drive for the OS. Other than the boot sequence of the printers to assign the correct printer to the correct octoprint instance, it been working really well
Good video senor. I had this autocad in my course. The college taught me front view top view for 2 months which was becoming boring. Then i learnt from youtube about drawing 3d models in autocad and i found a bit interesting . Now i feel i should posses a printer.
Hello there. I'm in South Africa and I would like to buy a printer for profit. I would like one that can print almost anything wether hard or flexible. Also I will go for the cheapest one, idk much about 3d printers but I do know computers and will learn cad.
Hey there 👋 I hope this video helped you out. If you are looking at printing with flexible materials, consider a machine that has direct drive extrusion over a bowden setup. These machines will give a better result as you have a fully constrained filament path. Good luck 👍
“Universal money units” subscribing immediately I’m laughing so hard. Have you heard of Blemflarck, also known as galactic credits, are a centralised galactic currency, perused by the Galactic Federation.
Creality it is, ender 3. Will be printing anything and everything i need. Hardware case for raspberry pi, airsoft gun parts, random invention ideas 💡 ect
Hello IQ, I and many others would like you to explain how to make a certain thing in FreeCad. I would like to send you a sample photo. Where could I send it to you? Thank you for your great videos... Dennis G.
Answered all my questions. Thanks!
I'm glad I could help.
If you have any questions that pop up in future, let me know 😉
So helpful. Step 1 don’t buy a printer haha wasn’t expecting that for sure. Love the pragmatic thought process to approaching buying a printer.
Thanks for the comment

@@wantedki11a135 thanks for the motivation. I have one in the works that should be out soon 😉. Make sure you've clicked the bell icon 👍
Thanks, great Guide! Has anything changed during the last year?

Hi there. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 3d printing is an amazing and addictive technology. Is there anything I can do to help your journey?

Good luck 👍
Hanzhen harmonic drive gear ,
strain wave reducer,
robot joint , over 30 years experience
Much better energy in this one, but the zoom and multicam cuts are a bit distracting.
Just trying something out to see what the response is like 👍
