My theory is that Twilight died trying to save Equestria. Possibly the other princesses had the same fate. It’s sad theory, but it does explain why we don’t see Twilight or the other princesses in G5.

If I remembered this correctly, I think most people agrees that 200 maybe even 300 years has passed since the fall of the nation. The only way Twilight did to stop the fighting was to create the crystals only to make things worse. A little dark but it’s my theory, plus I think Sunny’s Mom was an Alicorn from Skyros but banished to the stars by Opaline.

Another stupid idea she had was changing Canterlot so that only believers of friendship could enter and nopony else, which is incredibly unfair for those who could do with lessons such somepony like Trixie before she befriended Starlight, particularly Lighting Dust. Compared to Celestia and Luna, Twilight's decisions were terrible, absolutely terrible. But there's another unanswered question that arises: What of Tirek, Cozy Glow and Queen Chrysalis? Surely after a 1000 years the petrification would have worn off, particularly after the chaos which Posey Bloom caused.

Once there she starts spreading Disharmony to destablise the land and make it easier for her to replenish the magic stripped from her on her banishment. The older Mane 6 eventually intevene and defeat her, which forces her to retreat and plan. She made her way to the Dragonlands and drained many of the dragons of their fire and life force to transform herself into a Fire Alicorn. Easily capable of defeating the guardians of friendship and claiming all .agoce for herself. The few surviving dragons manage to make it to Canterlot and relay the devistating news to Twilight. Now knowing that Opaline intends to claim all.magic for herself she sees no other option but to seal all magic away to save the world. She sends Spike away to the Isle of Scaley to safeguard the surviving dragons, where upon arriving they would all enter an enchanted sleep that would hopefilly protect them from Opaline. Opaline finding the new dragon lands would doscover she couldnt drain them.and imediately traveled direct to Twilight. The final confrontation seen Twilight possibly sacrifice all to seal all the magic into the unity crystals , lock Oplaine into what would brcome her castle, and place a protective sheild over the areas😢 where the ponies had evacuated to

Wrote a mini essay on Opaline in a previous vid happy to reshare 😂 Opaline, she's formidable. Pony tribes have been easily separated before so why not again? Opaline was powerful enough to scare Twilight into using all her alicorn magic, this shedding her alicorn form, into creating the crystals. Maybe the comics explore this more no clue haven't read would like to though. But yea it's the fear of Opaline. And over time Opaline became far more relaxed as she believed there to be no true threats

There are a TON of unanswered questions in mlp g4, and how it switched to g5 is the biggest mystery next to where Cadence and Discord came from.

Well, let’s take a look at Twilight character we all know she’s a very smart and caring person but she’s not very good at making the right choices unless she’s guided down the right path Celestia struggled for 1000 years on her own without a Luna. I think it was a mistake to think that twilight could do the same there were many things that Twilight cannot do on her own without her friends to guide her and support her, which is why I think all six of them should’ve become alicorns it should’ve been a council not just one ruler.

You are trying to make sense of g5 the series that didnt give a flying F about g4 and only used it to keep older fans around.

Creo que a twilight se le subió el poder, porque no ha podido superar la perdida de sus amigas y también su compañero de poder discord, y cuando vino opalina aprovecho el bug del desastre y robo la magia. Y para no dejar los ponis indefenso replicó los cristales con ti magia. Y se los dió a los ponis, y las demás alicornios como él desastre ya estaba hecho no podían hacer nada y se fueron no sé, pero se fueron. Y twilight dejo Canterlot indefenso y fue crear su propio imperio fuera de Equestria. Utilizando como subditos los ponis del imperio de cristal y le quitó el hechizo que tenían conectados con el corazón de cristal para que no dependan de ese artefacto.

Maybe at the end of the series the new mane6 go back in time and change the future. Thus Opaline doesn't win against Twilight or have Misty become her friend in the past so Opaline could have a better future.
she failed cause she wouldn't shut up about friendship and was more worried about that than the fire alicorn that messed up equestria. It was her and the mane 6's pointless lessons and worries that made them unlikable
