- first of all: people are allowed to self-identify with the language that feels most resonant for them. SECOND OF ALL, the Jewish community has a very particular relationship with race that has changed across time and space. so calling myself biracial is just not the most historically accurate term! the more i study the clearer that becomes. that’s why i’ve been moving away from that language. Hello, I'm actually a biracial black/Jewish man who's actually pretty olive toned and people can tell I'm black (I don't look ambiguous you can tell I'm part black lol).
As a mixed person I have to say: saying that a biracial person *isn't* black *is* a micro-aggression. We are mixed with black. We are ethnically black. There's no reason to act like we're harming you.
People see me as a black person. So by saying I'm black I'm not doing anything to harm the black community. In fact, I do tons of things to help my community. I'm not invading it, and I'm sure as hell a part of it.
Also, despite people telling me I'm "two races," I look nothing like a white person. Sure, I looked like a mixed black person, but I sure as hell don't look white. And that's the problem: if we're not black, then we're definitely not white. We need a community, especially one we are ethnically a part of.
What is important to differentiate are the differing experiences of light skin/dark skin and mixed/"full" black people, but erasing their racial and ethnic heritage doesn't help with that. They are still black people. Mixed black people are black.

Places say we represent and love black women and they’ll be from a black focused industry (certain channels or

I used to live in New Orleans. Western New Orleans and Metairie are overwhelmingly white. They're used to be a nightclub there on the Lake Ponchartrain's west side called West End Park. There was a nightclub there called Augie's Delago that burned down, I understand. Anyhow, there was a certain day where an unnamed (to me, at least) New Orleans mulatto society would congregate. Someone enlighten me, but all the people who came were VERY light toned blacks who apparently felt more comfortable around their own kind. Was this meeting a certain day a month? I don't know, but they were EVERYWHERE...all 3 floors. I happened to be there and it was quite an experience, like nothing I had ever seen before.

Being Jewish is like a part race, you can be 100% black and Jewish but you can also be ashkanazi (I think I spelled it right) (a type of Jewish which is a full race) so you can be ashkanazi and black, that being biracial. But in this case this person is black and Jewish, jewish being the ethnicity and religion as well as black being the race

As for being African there is original Africans who if Sub-Saharan are black or light-skinned vs North Africans who are Middle Eastern/not black. And Africans who are nationally African but white like Elon Musk who grew up there but wasnt one of the original people genetically.

Black people come in a variety of shades, even monoracial ones. Plus albino black people still look black because race is more than just skin color. And then there are other dark-skinned ethnic groups, such as South Indians and Aboriginal Australians, that are not black at all because only Sub-Saharan Africans are black.

I remember having an arguement with some weird chick on Fbk calling herself "fully black" when she was Jewish. Had zero black in her. She seemed to think that anyone non-white was black and was conflating POC with black and Jewish with POC. Not all POC are black and not all Jewish people are coloured. And no Jewish person is black. Unless they are a black person who is a religious Jew. Americans and their metrics have got people calling Paris Jackson and albinoes "black". Black is a colour and its what we use to describe someone who is black-skinned or dark brown. Anyone light-brown is light-skinned or mixed-race depending on how light.

Honestly it just depends on how far back you have to go to find someone who was culterally and/or religiously Jewish
For example, if you had one grandparent that was Jewish, you would be considered Jewish
If you had 2 great grandparents that were Jewish, you'd be Jewish
If it was just one great great grandparent, you'd probably not be considered Jewish
Its a complicated topic as there are multiple different methodologies on determining who is considered Jewish
