I agree that the best way to learn a language is to go to a native country and just start speaking It's certainly not the EASIEST, but definitely the most effective and gives you the most believable accent. You'll adopt the accent of those around you and will also learn the slang which is important. I've been in Sicily for 9 months and have gone from 0 ability to speak Italian to regularly receiving compliments from strangers at how I speak, especially when I make them laugh with my knowledge of their local slang. Many of my friends who met me when I arrived and was unable to speak at all have recently been really blown away at my progress I credit my friends here for their patience in helping me improve by teaching me the right way to speak and correcting me when necessary. It's so true what you say about how to learn a language Keep doing what you're doing 👍

And as someone who has loved the Chinese culture all his life (I'm almost 50, yikes!) and originally learned Asian cuisine (mostly Chinese and Japanese) when I studied at the Culinary Institute of America years ago - I absolutely love channels like yours who explore cities and towns in China and not only show off the incredible diversity of food but the people who (mostly) all seem to be very nice and welcoming. Bro they are so nice, I love the people who are chill like that at the start. We always have these weird reservations but I also learnt a lot from Bald and Bankrupt about this too. People in Russia, India, Taiwan, anywhere really. They are nice and can be nice to you, just because we stereotype Chinese people being this and that on media because there are some bad apples, doesn't mean everyone is like that.
Excellent saying
Great video .. keep up the excellent content you are a scholar and a statesmen..
I swear to god I didn’t think the Chinese people so kind like this I didn’t stop smiling the whole episode u really made my day and gave me a really good vibe everyone of them the elders and young man and women even the children they salute u man and the racism is 0% I swear you’ve changed my thought about China my regards to those most kind people I will put China in my tourism list and really loved how they greeted you no matter where u came from and what’s your skin colour , i think they appreciated u cuz u are black and they don’t saw black people before I’m kidding big love for you 😅😂🤣🫶🇨🇳❤️

People will turn abnormal kind when they see you respecting their culture...and there isn't better way to show it like lear their language. especially when you are black living in Asia or East Europe. You'll be treated like a celebrity lol
I was in China for a couple weeks, and I was shown nothing but love. I even went to a small village and the people were very friendly and nice. Chinese people in China love black ppl. There’s something about coming to America that turns ppl into racist.
@YaasinJadan This is the comment that I was gonna make. It's not everyone, but media and propaganda creates a very dark machine in terms of how people think
"Live in the moment"
You have been given an opportunity to live in China and experience a new culture. It is a true blessing and you should enjoy every single moment of it and do not worry about what the future holds.

You remind me of the late Laousho (Moses), may his soul RIP. Great video bro💪! I love how immersed you are in the culture and you have actually made me consider visiting China one day. & I am also impressed that you never took any formal training in Chinese, yet you're so good. It's known to be one of the toughest languages in the world, which makes your fluency even more impressive.

I’m glad you’re doing videos like this. It gives people a different perspective about other people and places, particularly this one in China. Pretty cool!
Mike, you are a real ambassador with your walking interaction visits.
The People are genuine and very happy when they hear you speaking their language.
Great video young brother, its so good too see a brother who actually immerses himself in the culture instead of belly aching and complaining about how hard it is for black people in Asia. I myself love Asia and never experienced anything negative, people everywhere are generally excepting and curious of the novel.
Well done young sir, keep up the good work. GOD bless you in your travels, ENJOY.
Exactly! Been Japan 3x and plan to return soon. Always had a good time. In general you get whiney people that think the world revolves around them. And if i were to experience any nonsense i’ll handle it like an adult
@@tengoodquestions I completely agree, enjoy your trip brother. GBU
Your interaction with the locals is absolutely adorable. now i wanna go live in China
I agree that the best way to learn a language is to go to a native country and just start speaking
It's certainly not the EASIEST, but definitely the most effective and gives you the most believable accent.
You'll adopt the accent of those around you and will also learn the slang which is important.
I've been in Sicily for 9 months and have gone from 0 ability to speak Italian to regularly receiving compliments from strangers at how I speak, especially when I make them laugh with my knowledge of their local slang.
Many of my friends who met me when I arrived and was unable to speak at all have recently been really blown away at my progress
I credit my friends here for their patience in helping me improve by teaching me the right way to speak and correcting me when necessary.
It's so true what you say about how to learn a language
Keep doing what you're doing 👍
I think your life is so cool. Im so proud of you. Enjoy yourself to the fullest, have fun! The people are 10x more friendly there than in the states, its so beautiful that they embrace different rather than frown upon it. Awesomeness 😂❤

Loved your video and appreciate the effort you put into learning the local language.
Used to live in Japan and Singapore back in the day and miss the safe and entertaining public spaces where, as you noted, both the elderly and the young can hang out together. Why we can't have these here in the US is a mystery to me.
It used to be you could, but the crime and corruption in many places is sadly now out of control.
Guns and crimes, that's why you can't hang around in public places in the USA

That’s has to be one of the most narrow minded comments I’ve ever heard about someone visiting a country, emphasis on visiting . Who goes anywhere for ever. .we don’t live that long. Your attitude for the present moment is golden. And curiosity is what makes us grow as humans. Bravo for learning the language. Every culture respects this!
For real!

Aw, that one girl at about 8:33 or so, was so shy, it was so cute. Also as someone new to the channel - I can't actually place your actual accent. Sometimes it sounds quite Australian/New Zealand but other times nothing like them. I'm just wondering where you are originally from, if that's ok to ask? And as someone who has loved the Chinese culture all his life (I'm almost 50, yikes!) and originally learned Asian cuisine (mostly Chinese and Japanese) when I studied at the Culinary Institute of America years ago - I absolutely love channels like yours who explore cities and towns in China and not only show off the incredible diversity of food but the people who (mostly) all seem to be very nice and welcoming. Mostly. I've seen my fair share of, not great people while in China myself lol
