From what is released to the press this "trend" of multiple family members being involved in the murder (over custody) seems to be strong in Ohio.
I already found this phenomenon intriguing, before Mike mention what happened to Summer.
Do all these families think they are smarter than the one's caught/prosecuted?

Can't tell if you're trolling or not. Our families went to the same church. We were in the same neighborhood, few houses down the road. To be fair my brother and I hung out with her older brother mostly and played basketball, but there were occasions when we were younger when we all played as kids. Feels awkward to have to defend myself and be called a liar here, but whatever. I tried to keep it short for the sake of not writing a novel in the comments. There's a ton more details I could tell but I'm going to leave it at this because, well I don't think anyone really cares about my story too much, this isn't about me. I was just trying to give some context about what I knew and experienced, I can say for certain she didn't deserve this.

I’d love to know what your production process consists of. As in do you search all the b-roll and pertinent videos and then edit and lay the audio all on your own? Do you wing the narrations or are they prewritten? Or do you have a cpl mates that all contribute? I only ask bc I, from experience, know how time consuming putting together even a rather pedestrian production can be and yours are done pretty darn well. AND you do more than 1 per week. Not to mention the time that goes into research for every story you tell. This’ll probably not even be seen by Mike, but on the minuscule chance he does, maybe he’ll drop some insight. Thanks I’m advance…potentially. Lol

He's always said it's just him. But then he's a really freaking good editor, and as he's researching you get the case sealed to memory before you film. What became the trend to do during the 2-3 years of the pandemic there's a few channels that were using an upload schedule strategy and all of them blew up.everyone had not much to do during lockdowns so we were on here. And there's the true crime forums where they compile all these documents and video clips. And police reports are public record. Save the cases material and video clips your gonna use to your computer and have them ready to go when your going to edit, so your no having to do it as you go. The thing with Mike is he's an example of No one can do this but him. He's what makes it. With his charisma that he developed and humor. There's creators where your like oh you were meant to do this.

I don't trust my cat with my family, mainly because she has special needs. but they would never knowingly try to harm her. I left her with my family over the past week, and it was torture. I checked in constantly and it became a full-time job for me, just making sure they did it right. Hearing that a woman met a man who knowingly threw her cats out windows shatters my heart into a thousand pieces. she must have known what was coming next. if someone can treat a cat badly, they can treat anyone badly. just her diary and the way she behaved makes me know that she must have known, and that just makes it so, so much more painful. she tried to be fair and right when literally no one else was trying to be fair and right, and she still tried to be fair and right anyway. like a decent person would. and got killed for it.
I'd say most true crime is definitely awful, but interesting. Because the stories should be told. it's not right for the stories to not be told. it's not right for no one to listen. having the stories told is a form of justice. not letting it get washed away.
some of it makes my blood boil, tho, and at those times I wish I didn't click. it's so patently insane that everyone should have seen it from a mile away.
this is one of those times.

If women are murdered it will most likely be a boyfriend or husband. This should be taught in high school to at least encourage longer engagements and get married as older as possible. Rest in peace Summer - you tried to get away and was ambushed by psychos.

It's much more common in these small towns that people who are narcissistic and status seeking do so within a church community, but since in the national cultural milieu traditional religion is not in power/high status, it doesn't happen very often. She may have lost consciousness after like 20 or 25secs I'm thinking. So there would have Been about a ten minute time period where she was actually strangling due to the zip tie. Which means all 3 of these people had plenty of time to attempt to save her. Certainly not a "blackout" type of situation as they are saying happened. She likely died very slowly and I feel so horrible for her family and friends. 3 monsters for sure. I pray the justice is harsh.

People strangled on TV die in a conveniently short space of time. Your post reminds me of one of those dumb criminal videos I saw. 2 guys (not bright), kidnap (to get his PIN) a guy strangle him (TV style) when he passes out they assume he's dead (don't check) toss the body in a dumpster and off they go. A while later the 'victim' crawls out of the dumpster and goes to the police.

Approximately eight minutes for death by strangulation, around 90 seconds to cut off blood flow during a choke hold, rendering a person unconscious. We were taught this during urban warfare training during the Iraq War.

Summer didn't deserve to die, with that said, she didn't have the right to use her children as pawns and just replace their father. Women are constantly using children during divorce to inflict pain on the man. She was a monster in her own right.

It’s not that simple. Not nature OR nurture. Criminologists, psychologists, and researchers think it’s some of both. Remember, though, that a fraction of a fraction of those raised by shitty parents will never go on to harm/kill ANYONE.
🙋🏼‍♀️ Raising my hand b/c I had a substandard upbringing. Birth parents, adoptive parents, foster parents. My mom was severely mentally ill. She killed herself. With her, it was just neglect and instability. My adoptive parents were hateful, cruel, & abusive. My foster parents - all of them - were WONDERFUL. I was on my own at 17. Joined the USMC at 20. Became a single mom a few years later. My son is now 34 & a Marine Corps veteran himself. I was married for 20 years, now divorced. I’ve never smoked or taken any illegal drug (not even pot), and if I have one or two glasses of wine per year . . . that’s unusual. I have no criminal history. I have never physically harmed anyone. Additionally, my son is a good man. Again, no criminal history, no history of addiction, no kids floating around out there. He came out of the Corps pretty banged up. He’s been happily married for seven years. Works like a dog. He’s intelligent, humble, and very laid-back. My daughter-in-law is lovely, kind, and BRILLIANT (working on her Masters in Chemistry! 😬)
Then there’s the opposite scenario: lots of criminals and murderers who were raised in “good homes” by “good people.” Following your theory, shouldn’t kids raised like that be “good” people, too? Petty criminals, con artists, addicts, everyday sociopaths, murderers, batterers, rapists, pedophiles . . . come from intact homes, well-to-do homes, religious homes, highly educated parents. The “perfect” upbringing. What’s to account for them, huh? No, it’s NOT nature OR nurture because no family is perfect. Doesn’t exist. Maybe they spoil one child and he turns out to a decent human being. They spoil another child and that kid goes on to be a narcissist from hell.
So please stop thinking you know what you cannot know. Maybe it makes you feel important or better or whatever. But you’re just plain wrong.

In her diary she's talking about how she deserves to be loved to feel love, that she no longer loves her husbands, so she's thinking about a new relationship before ending her current one. she taunted him, took the new guy with her to pick up stuff, rubbing him in to her husbands face, she could of taken her father or even the police if she felt unsafe, u don't take the boy friend unless u want to stir crap up, he attacks not her but the new guy, then his denied custody and she post happy family snaps with their kids and the new guy, why not make her account private? Because she is taunting him. Nothing she did deserved her being killed and I hope they rot in jail. But her behaviour is a factor in her murder.

It's sadly quite a common thing to find people who claim to be Christian doing the most un-Christian things in thought, word and deed.
The hypocrisy in some religious people is sometimes truly breath taking, how do they do these things yet continue to call themselves religious?
I say religious rather than specifically "Christian" because that kind of behaviour isn't just a Christian thing, it's something that is seen by people practicing all kinds of faiths.

I feel it's because of that wretched "prosperity doctrine" that has been around since the seventies. The laser focus on wealth (the ridiculous notion that one's financial wealth is solely relative to one's level of faith in God and commitment to same - a Las Vegas God, if you like) has made it far too easy for scammers and grifters to start churches. If America would start taxing ALL religious institutions, it would cut back on 75% of that crap. I grew up in it; I have inside knowledge.
