Note:
This was one of my first recordings ever. I picked up a summer job just to buy the mic and recorders were still very expensive for me. So I bought this cassette recorder. It got the job done for a few years before I could upgrade to a DAT recorder. I thought I would re-transfer this recording since I first transferred it with a crappy cassette deck back in 2003. No EQ was done to the recording. Just normalized it to -.1 db. This was moved from the State Theater downtown to the Majestic Theatre in midtown maybe a few weeks before the show. I went with my dad and that was cool to experience this show with him.
I've got to give a shout out to Moto @KompaktMode-dm on this one just because he was the one who helped me get all the things I would need in order to tape, including picking out this mic and all my advice for stealthing. So without his help, I probably would not have become a taper. I remember we went back and forth all summer with him explaining the set up and everything. I am forever grateful for his help teaching a 13 year old kid how to do it and here I am 20 some odd years later still doing it!
I don't think I was ever so excited for a show. I waited all summer for this one. I'll be uploading more of my audio recordings I have done over the years. Maybe touching these up as I go along too. My methods have changed quite a bit since then, and some of the editing can be way better on some of these older ones. Enjoy.
Thanks Ryan!😊
