I would love these, I wish I was at the stage in the craft to support high end "Leather Master" series tools. Many of us watching your videos are new to the craft and are desperately wading through the mountain of junk tools trying to find the rare affordable gems. Any chance you guys could create a more affordable series of tools for people like us? If you did you'd likely capture a huge market of new leatherworkers who will stick with you like glue as their experience and skills grow. I can only speak for myself but once I find a brand that offers me quality they get my loyalty and they are the first stop when its time for me to upgrade. I'm not asking for you to compete at the bottom, but a mid-range series from you guys would be a huge success and honestly? We need a company to step up and provide decent quality at affordable prices because right now it feels like its either junk or high end with very little in the middle when it comes to tools. Anyway, great video, hopefully one day I'll be able to justify the cost of your stuff, till then I'll hope for that mid-range series to show up on your site.
I love your efficiency. I don’t measure anymore either 😉. Love both the ruler and the square and your leather rougher but can’t justify the expense of any of them. My rougher is a riddler file for a quarter. I have two small squares from Amazon and sanded one down to half the thickness. Long story short: love your tools but they’re just a little too rich for me. Thanks for sharing. I truly appreciate and enjoy it.

Wow. Great tools for sure!! Definitely makes work quicker, and less tedious!! If I could afford tools like these, I'd probably be doing something else.. lol. Luv the rulers.. way to expensive
You were planning to make a video about pattern tricks, right? I'm one of many who would really appreciate it, Artie. When are you going to do? Soon?. Thank you very much
Hey! Yes, I have 5 or 6 videos planned. Along with actual orders to stay on track / schedule with. And each video takes about 2+ weeks to film and edit. Etc. I can’t give a time frame or estimate. But it’s DEFINITELY on the list!
Impressive. Thank you. In addition to the ruler and square, how can one obtain the miniature war hammer tool you use with the twisted pike on one end. That is awesome, and if available I would like to get one. Thanks.
Hi Artie, I hope you and your family are doing wonderful. I got my ruler, square set a couple weeks ago. I freaking love them! Unfortunately the squat had a small machining flaw, Zack is replacing it and I should have it back in my hand early this week. I miss it. :( Anywho, I was wondering if you knew of a place to bison hide. I have some one who wants me to make a run of leashes out of it. Thanks!
Great video as always Artie....You had me as soon as you described the ease of marking the halfway point....Thats a great addition!! Question, I ended up putting cork back on all of my rulers/squares now to help with the slippage. I hate to end up having to do that with these as they obviously have useful tools/information on both sides.....any tip you can give on using a non-corked ruler/square and not getting it to slip?
Thanks for the kind words!!! Take a feel on these first. They’re not 100% slick. They have a little grip from the engraving process. But other than that, I’ve never had an issue, nor have I ever had experience adding anything to rulers. So I can’t say there.
Love the concept and execution. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to pick these up but would love to someday. I think they'd work very well with my work flow which is very similar to yours, Artie. I guess watching so many of your videos has worn off on me. Simple and easy..... It's a lifestyle! 😜
I love the idea of the notches on the end for straps. I wish it had 5/8 though lol. I make armor mostly, my most used strap size. But awesome tools non the less!
Thanks!! And thanks for watching!! Idea - Make one for 5/8 on your own, set aside for frequent use. Then you have all these for all the other 6+ strap widths. That’ll work!! 👍👍
When the email arrived in my inbox this morning I immediately ordered these two items, even before watching the video, because I already own and use your tools every day. Your tools are luxurious, extremely well designed and well made (just like leather items I make). I don't mind paying top dollar for well made, American products that I use every day if it adds to the pleasure, quality and efficiency of my work.
Another great and informative video and a couple cool looking tools! filming & editing how many days does a video like this take? appreciate the time you spend to do these things
Very cool features. The only thing I couldn't tell is how slick is the surface? I had to glue a strip of 1200 grit sandpaper to my metal ruler and square to keep them from moving on glossy leather. Obviously I wouldn't want to cover either side of your tools.
You know cork works just as good without scratching up your leather. I even have a ruler with a black anti slip foam that's even better and weaver sells it by it's self
@@zurich264 Ya, I used the high grit sandpaper because I already had it lying around. As long as you don't slide it across the leather, scratches are pretty much non-existent.
I would absolutely love to own both of these price point right now is out of my budget but I will get these so tired of trying other tools that don’t work I already blew my allowance from my wife on the bump jigs and hey by the way do you have any scrap black Dublin you would be willing to part with
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!!! This is an authentic antique mug. Actually I think it’s a measuring devise. My family owned an antique store in the 1970s. That’s where this came from. So I have no clue where to find it now

i'd like to purchase the square but am wondering if i should wait for the next production run with the built in bottle opener in it : ) lol
@@MasconLeather
Impressive. Thank you. In addition to the ruler and square, how can one obtain the miniature war hammer tool you use with the twisted pike on one end. That is awesome, and if available I would like to get one. Thanks.
Thanks, Dean!!! My son (@mascon_forge) makes the railroad spike cobbler hammers.
sure are proud of them
👍
where can I find a link to theses ?
thank you for creating with great purpose 🙏

Hi Artie, I hope you and your family are doing wonderful. I got my ruler, square set a couple weeks ago. I freaking love them! Unfortunately the squat had a small machining flaw, Zack is replacing it and I should have it back in my hand early this week. I miss it. :( Anywho, I was wondering if you knew of a place to bison hide. I have some one who wants me to make a run of leashes out of it. Thanks!
A place to buy bison hide. For crying out loud!
Hey! Thanks for the kind words and support!!
Bison - I’d try maverick leather. In Oregon. Tell them I sent you.
@@MasconLeather 👍l will be eagerly awaiting their arrival!
Perfect!! If you have any questions, just let us know!
Love the concept and execution. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to pick these up but would love to someday. I think they'd work very well with my work flow which is very similar to yours, Artie. I guess watching so many of your videos has worn off on me. Simple and easy..... It's a lifestyle! 😜
I completely understand. And whenever you’re ready, we’ll get you all “squared” away!! Thanks for watching and the kind words
My dude, your breaking rule #1 no Bevvies on the table. I'm kidding. Great video and cool new tools!!! Mike- Craft and Lore
LOL! Thanks!!
We may be adding this concept in the future
Where can I buy American made tool kit? For a beginner
See ZeeBee Leather's Blog. Google "ZeeBee Leather beginner"
this intro was phenomenal
Awe !!! Thanks!!!
Ok…. This comment might end up on the website!!! Thanks for that and for the support!!!
Another great and informative video and a couple cool looking tools! filming & editing how many days does a video like this take? appreciate the time you spend to do these things
Thanks again, sir !!! This was about 5 full days to film, edit, etc. 😆
@@MasconLeather WOW..... you do such an awesome job at everything you do!!
We soooo appreciate the supporters like you. You make it worthwhile! Thanks!!!
Love it!!!
Thanks!!! And thanks for watching!
GREAT IDEAS going on here.
I'm sure you noticed by now, but at 2:22 you can see the 5 and 6mm / SPI are mis-labeled.
Yep. This was addressed on the website listing. 😉. Thanks for watching!!
Thank you
Very cool features.
They are not 100% slick. For sure. Just the right balance.
@@MasconLeather Ok good to know. Thanks and well done on the designs.
@@zurich264 Ya, I used the high grit sandpaper because I already had it lying around. As long as you don't slide it across the leather, scratches are pretty much non-existent.
Perfect. We experiment every day. And learn every day. That’s the fun part.
The rafter square is an easy fix if you have a hacksaw. The ruler is nice though.
👍
Great tools, do you have them in metric?
There’s metric all over them. Can’t do centering in millimeters because half millimeters can’t be etched. Too tiny.
I would absolutely love to own both of these price point right now is out of my budget but I will get these so tired of trying other tools that don’t work I already blew my allowance from my wife on the bump jigs and hey by the way do you have any scrap black Dublin you would be willing to part with
Thanks for watching!!! I don’t sell scraps…. I actually use every inch. Love it too much
I understand I try to do the same thing
Nice tools, Did you build it also in cm version ?
They are exactly as shown. Cm is on them both. Absolutely! Just not the centering feature.
👏👏👏🎉 love them, well done!!!
Thanks!!!
Gracias Señor 😎
Thanks!!! And thanks for watching!!
Love your videos, and have been meaning to ask: WHERE can I get a mug like that? Is it brass? Copper? Either way, would love to get my hands on one.
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!!! This is an authentic antique mug. Actually I think it’s a measuring devise. My family owned an antique store in the 1970s. That’s where this came from. So I have no clue where to find it now
@@MasconLeather Ahh damn, that just makes it cooler and makes me want it more!! Haha, anyway, thanks for the reply and thanks for your content!!

I literally just looked up on Google what the mm to oz conversion was. Right before watching this video!
This is B R I L L I A N T !
But I will say the price for both is.... WOW! $290? Did I see that right? :O
See!!?? I did it EVERY day. And I was soooo annoyed going to google whilst working. I’m too efficient (or lazy)???
Logistics, design, material, labor, shipping, packaging, etc etc. we’re not making much to be transparent and honest.
Also….
You could buy 7+ different tools to achieve it all. And pay more in the end. Either way. I prefer efficiency, American made, and supporting the local leather community. 👍
For a quick reference…. We’re now sold out. But presales are live and available. 😉
@@MasconLeather I understand and I really didn't want to post that as I really do think these tools are a game changer. I also have to worry about $5 a gallon gas and trying to feed my family.
Please don't take what me and a few of the other are saying as negative. I'm really trying not to be. Maybe it's the fact that we just don't sell as much of our leather crafts as you all do...
Any way this can be offered up on Amazon?
Not at this time. Adding to amazon is an amazingly complex endeavor, and to keep our costs as low as we can, we sell direct to end users, rather than the fees and logistics associated with big on line outlets.
But credit cards are accepted

I want for sewing!! (No I don’t quilt)
Now please make them clear for pattern matching and fussy cutting!
Edit: Have you considered putting out a laser/CNC file for individuals to custom cut their own?
Thanks! I don’t sell my designs
Yooooo! That is some legendary design, I'm gunna start saving my pennies for these!
And Thankyou for the metric inclusion!!!
Ps - does that half measurement mechanic on the straight rule work in metric too?
Thanks!! Metric would be too small to make into a centering ruler. Half millimeters would be impossible to etch
These are pretty awesome. I’d pay $120 for the set, but I just couldn’t justify $120 each.
🤘
Very cool
Thanks!! And thanks for watching!!
Thanks
No problem
I was literally cheering for some of these features.
Right ?!?! That’s why we designed them. Why haven’t these been done before !!!
$170!!! I can’t guys 😭 I wish I could. I’m a huge fan, but you’ve made it impossible for me to be a customer. I didn’t spend that much on all my other tools combined.

😆 thanks!!! We tried to find as much as we could for sure.
Will you offer there’s in stainless? Sorry but I’m not a fan of aluminum
I’ll pass this along and we’ll keep you posted! We prefer the aluminum for rulers for the lightweight and ease of moving. We do steel and brass in our other tools for heft.

I took your advice and ordered a Romanov stitching pony...and due to the ongoing war, it's stuck in transit...I'm just saying this to warn future purchasers of Romanov tools, so you all aren't in the same boat as me. Not trying to sound petty, just letting folks know what's going on :) thanks for your videos!
Thanks for that heads up and great point !! Sorry about that. Reach out to Romanov. He’s very communicative and helpful!!
I just passed this on to Romanov directly. He’ll reach out to you.
@@MasconLeather awe man thank you, you didn't have to do that! It feels like such a petty thing considering the war going on right now! I didn't want to seem like I cared more about my stitching pony than the horrible war thats going on over there :/
