Another great vid (as usual...) Apparently some out there don't get the flow of the bump jigs, but ever since I started using them, all is SO much faster, easier, and much more accurate... Also, did I see correctly in the vid that there is possibly a new smaller square on the way from Mascon/ZeeBee...??? (🤞)

Love the color combo. Making me want to build a new wallet. Thanks for the Dremel sanding tip. I haven't thought about it pulling up the fibers. That will make less work for me. Thanks. Stay awesome.

100% wrong. I was a framer. And have 524 hammers. Never. Never. Never use a metal hammer on metal tools. Mushrooming is bad, and the hardness levels of tool metal and hammer metal are not friends.
@@MasconLeather for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I said you can use a hammer, never said you should. I'v got way more hammers then mauls or expendable income. Plus most old stitching chisels I find here (Britain) are mushroomed. 524 hammers; hell of a collection fam.

I want the small ruler and square! I’ve got the rougher, brass and aluminum bump jigs, 1st anvil and the master ruler…. Must have the minis! When and how, Art?
Hello, I have a question. I purchased the Amy Roke Leather Edge Clamp that you have shown in your amazing videos. The quality of them is amazing. My question is I don't know how to sew the leather hand grips on, can you be of any help? Maybe a video 😊 Thanks from all of us out here that have learned so much from your videos and your sons quality tools.
Absolutely love your videos! Do you let your edge dye dry for a certain amount of time before "white mud" and burnishing? I seem to get a greenish color on my cloth when I burnish my edges that have been dyed. But, that may just be part of the dye re-wetting I guess. Again, great job!
How do you sharpen your tools. You get great beveling but when I strop my bevelers I can't seem to get them sharp enough for the Horween. It's softer than vegtan and getting a good bevel is a pain.
I’ve never sharpened an edge beveler. I only strop. For years. The Barry kings hold the edge. Put some red or green rouge on the corner edges of some 10+ oz veg tan and pull bevelers backwards on that edge. That’s all I do.
Awesome video (as usual)! I DID like that you showed a mistake-I was beginning to think you were perfect! Makes me as a beginner not feel as bad when I make a mistake-even though mine are usually worse. Great overall vibe to all of your videos!
Thanks, Kent ! Oh, I make mistakes every day. But, I welcome them. Because it gives me a chance to learn more. They’re a good thing. Thanks for commenting and watching!
would love to know where you get those extra large stitching punches from - the largest I have been able to find is a 6 prong... Thanks for the great vids and the inspiration!
Thank for a detailed and awesome video! I especially liked the step by step checklist you showed. Do you have that shared anywhere I'd love to use it 😁 Thanks again!
Thanks for this wealth of information, I feel like I'm learning all the trade secrets. One question though - how do you get the stitches to come out so perfect on the backside? Mine often end up going in a slightly diagonal line.
I'm still in the watching and learning phase. I don't understand the Bump Jig. It seems like a lot of flipping and fiddling opposed to tracing and cutting with a straight edge. Is there an advantage that's gained by bump jigging left and right, back and forth, over and over? It doesn't look like it's for speed, maybe accuracy?

Made in the USA!! That's what we like to see on goods. Support American manufacturers, especially hand-crafted goods. It's great these skills are passed from one generation to the next and you often have families with generations learning the craft. I love Swiss watches and collect them, my favourite manufacturer is Rotary owned by a family of watchmakers for over 100 years.

Is the "horse Dublin" horse front? Or is it something Horween makes for you? I can't seem to find it on any of the sites you mention in your videos.
I learn something every time I watch this. Love all your videos!
Hey! It’s from A & A crack and son in England. Ironic. Chicago to England back to USA. 😆
Awesome video as always. You mean bump jigs can actually save you some time and potential sanding?? I like how you didn't fumble around with the jigs and actually squared up a corner before you started bumpin.... also i noticed you didn't sand the pockets or did I miss that part?
Sand the packets ? Pockets?
Yea. Pockets. 😆 🤣 😂
Yes. I did a quick sand on the two pockets off camera. YT attention spans don’t allow for extra fluff. 😆
Thank you so much bro, Great amazing video. Health to your hands :)
🤘
Made in the USA!! That's what we like to see on goods. Support American manufacturers, especially hand-crafted goods. It's great these skills are passed from one generation to the next and you often have families with generations learning the craft. I love Swiss watches and collect them, my favourite manufacturer is Rotary owned by a family of watchmakers for over 100 years.
I like rotary as well!
Thanks for watching!!
Beautiful wallet as usual!! Been watching your videos for a while now. Looks a whole lot easier than another person demonstrated 🤣🤣. Keep up the great videos.✌🏻
Right?! 😆
Some don’t want to explore new and better ways to achieve the results. And that’s ok. They don’t like the idea of abandoning all the time they’ve already invested in past techniques. Even if the new way may be faster and easier.
Again…, that’s ok. I understand.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!!
Beautiful in its simplicity and design. Great video. Just a friendly FYI. "Teddy" Roosevelt was the Roughrider President. You showed Franklin Delano Roosevelt, or FDR. 😁 Cheers and thanks for the Chloe fix.
Thanks!! And yes, I typed it ALL in the video description. They were 5th cousins. Wallet named after the bear she’s holding. Thus Theodore. Bear named after him. Etc etc.
I explain it all. 😉
Can’t imagine why I’m just finding your channel. Great stuff mate! Did I see a bottle of Woodford!? 🥃
Thanks for watching. Yes. Woodford.
Great as always!! That's pretty good Rye. Have you tried Michters?
I need to try it!!
Good work sir
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Nice work! Excellent skills!
