A chemistry lesson teaching about shriveled old lady atoms, gangsta thug atoms, electronegativity, atomic radius, and ionization energy.
thanks so much for your kind comment! i'm really glad this was helpful for you. youtube message me if you have questions with other topics.

Can you teach something regarding pH and buffers ? Thank you I absolutely love your way of teaching !

He means tyler is a legend as this was his first video so this is when a legend was born.
+Psycho Dad i agree
He is genius and he is legend

It's you!
He has God given talent for teaching.

Hey everyone, I'm here to help. If you have any questions or just want to learn more, click on the link in the description above. It'll take you to a page where you can ask me questions.
Your teaching abilities are superb
14 years later, this video is still helping us. Thank you so, so much!
@ftart yup, you're right. that's an important concept for sure. but it's always a delicate balance between telling part of the story and giving too much information. as a teacher, i find that if you give too much information at once, the whole concept is lost. if you were in my class, the next day after this lesson, i'd say, "now why do the atoms get smaller?" and we'd go from there. if you're interested in teaching (i hope you are!) a vital thing to think about is: "what can i leave out?"
Thank you for the very memorable way that you teach!
If professors like you existed in my college or high school I would of chosen to go back to med school a lot sooner than I did. You sir, are a genius.
Same. I hope that this message finds that you are in med school now.
Can we just clone Tyler Dewitt and have him teach every subject at every school?
reproductive cloning is unethical +.+
@@mominahussain5552 unless its for the good of society
That would start the clone wars lol
BRUH LMAO y not
that would be impossible lol
This is only my second year teaching Chemistry. Last year, Tyler's videos were super helpful and he still continues to be helpful even now!
Thank you UA-cam for allowing highly skilled individuals as yourself to simplify, and enable the further understanding of science.
the video was aploaded 17 years ago but it is still the best from all out there. You've got a real talent!
I intentionally scrolled all the way down to your first video, so I could watch all your lessons without missing one!!! Really appreciate your efforts and teaching skills !!!
Same here lol

Some people were born to teach, much praise!!!
15 years later ,this video is still more helpful than other videos
@machacador28 i understand your point, but i have to disagree. youtube is not a good source if you need technical information; it's like going to mcdonald's and expecting gourmet french food. if you need to be technical, go to the library, or look through textbooks, or even wikipedia--they're all filled with technical information, but it's so boring and impossible to understand. what i'm trying to do here is to get the basics across so people can get it, and hopefully in a fun way.
i hope this man is as successful in 2019 as he seemed to be in 2007
he haven’t posted new videos in 3 years now.. hmmm
hope he is doing alright
I just watched his one lecture video and now I m worried about him that Why he isn't uploading the videos?
@@blancomarwat Don’t know if this will be of much help. But, he asked on Facebook if anyone wanted help with something related to nursing as he wanted to make videos on that. This was in April, and there were about 100 comments, which were very positive. He was active in Facebook last year end to April. He was also active on Twitter in Feb. this year.
Hes posting new videos in his website

This guy, or should I say a hero uploaded the video when I was born. And here I am after 14 years learning from him.
Who's here in 2024😢, I am very grateful to the teachers who have given their all to teaching like this. This is so crazy, I am grateful.
I can tell that if I had you as a student, you'd have a lifelong impact on me. You've already helped me through so much in chemistry. Can't thank you enough!
"Our little old lady, it's going to be very easy to steal her purse"
-The Legend, Tyler DeWitt
Thank you. You are the best Chemistry Professor. I hope my science professors really have half of the motivation and passion to teach as you have. Thanks, because I have never taken chemistry before, and for your videos, I moved from “pre-k” to “college “ in a month.
16 years later and this video is still being used in chemistry class
Cant believe it's still useful even after 14 years thank you so much Tyler really thank you
the fact that we are looking at videos from 14 years mean that these videos are good
@@pablobetor119 yes exactly
That was very clear, now i know exactly who to rob purses from. Thanks for clearing that up.

I have never had a teacher that explains like you. You are excellent at explaining things. Keep up the good work.

The very first video huh ?
Tyler has come a long way since then.
This man does what my chemistry teacher can’t
11 years old and it still helps. Thank you so much.
This was made before i was even born and today it's still relevant for me! TYLER DEWITT WHAT A KING !
You've saved my Chemistry grade. MUCH appreciated! It's a fun way, and I understood eerything... and I disagree with the dude saying technical stuff is missing. Go get a book. :)
Thanks for the explanation!
OMG it took this guy 9 mins to teach this to me and its been over a week && i still cnt learn this from my teacher THANK YOU SOOO MUCH
I LOVE YOU. I wish things were always explained in school using the simple terms and analogies, and then once we grasp the concept they can get more technical. But instead they just start out with technical and then its just plain harder for no reason.
16 years later and still helping us!!!
dude, i love you. you've explained this in a much way that was much easier to understand than my ap chem teacher had.
I understand better than any other chemistry teacher. You are the best.
I am impressed with how well you make your points. You have a real gift for making complicated subjects understandable!
This is actually the funniest thing I have seen in a while. I love him! He is so so fun and fun to watch. Excellent instructor.
Perfect demonstration for understanding concept of ionization energy 😊
This man has truly the gift of teaching. He has helped me overcome my fear of complicated concepts
you are the best teacher i have ever seen, if i don't understand any thing in chemistry i watched your videos and you help me alot, thanks Tyler
Thank you so much sir! You teach clearer than my "annoying" science teacher teaches!
I know this will help me in passing or even getting a perfect score for my Periodical Test, I know I will!

Thank you for helping me understand College Chemistry with these videos! Great teacher, fo sho.
Legit the best vid I've watched on this! Searching for something straight and to the point. Loved your analogies, thank you so much!
This guy is a great instructor his teaching methods are very phenomenal
hey lol so there were two topics i didnt quite understand ionization being one of them and you cleared up it really nice. i like how you start from the beginning and work your way up and dont just assume that we already know the basic info. Its always nice to go through everything so its clear. i saw that you stopped posting three years ago..why is that? you have a natural nack for teaching and you are almost at 1 million subs✨🥂. anyways thanks🧡
You are amazing! I am binge watching your videos because I have a Radiography test coming up. I learned so much from you. I wish I had found your UA-cam channel in high school.
Thank you so much, my chem teach at school is honestly a rlly fun person as a teacher but the teachings aspect of him being a teacher is making me have lots of mixed emotions abt him😂 you’re giving me a lot of relief 😅
I take courses online and I rely heavily on youtube to study my material. Your videos always seem to offer the help I need. Thank you.

You must be GOD sent for chemistry!!!!!!!! AWESOME
