I could barely focus in winter break due to external things occurring in my life, the lack of knowledge only making everything more stressful and generally worse. As I sit and watch your videos in order to take last minute revision notes for my upcoming mocks (directly after winter break), I simply cannot thank you enough for making a subject so daunting seem bearable and even enjoyable at times. Super glad my classmates exchange your videos, thank you so much!!
This is really helping! I've got my unit 1 exam tomorrow and have been watching these over the past few weeks to bulk up my revision but you explain things a lot better than how one of my teachers does, we've been expected to teach ourselves, but yeah I've learnt a lot more watching these! Thank you!
Your videos are so helpful!! I'm in year 12 and I've been struggling in chemistry for weeks but the way you teach it makes so much more sense. Thanks for making these videos, these are going to be my new revision method. 😊
I must say I've watched a few of your videos, and they're really helpful for revision. We did Ionisation Energies about 5 weeks ago and I was okay with it, but having watched this video its really clear now and hopefully I can smash it in the exam. Thank you so much!

If I ever miss a lesson, my first instinct is to come here (even if I dont miss a lesson i still come ;) ), great explainations and easy to understand. Good work.
All of your videos are fantastic as you explain everything so well!! You are really helping me get through AS Chemistry and I find all the exam questions you do extremely useful. Thank you so much! :)
I don't take A Level chemistry. but I take applied science btec and this is the first chemistry topic covered. I cannot thank you enough for going over this dude :)

i dont go to school. i teach myself, or go on youtube when i dont understand something. my dad is also an analytical chemist. so when he is around i just ask him
Wow. It's quick and easy to understand. I don't know why I didn't look at this before ;( but I'm glad I did now. •Small request: Can you go through Edexcel past paper Unit 1/2 please?
hello, I have an exam to enter year 13 chemistry and I have to cover again the whole AS book in 2 weeks. Any advice on how I could do that. I have started but I'm just worried it may not be sufficient as I have a problem with long questions. Thanks in advance and geat video.
Any chance of posting one about electronegativity? Really helpful videos, good to have as it is extremely hard to write notes and listen at the same time.

Do you have any videos that go into detail about the different stages of the mass spectrometer and identifying which species is responsible for a certain peak? Would be very helpful. Thanks :)
The plan is to get most of the CHEM 2 videos covered then looking to next year, I'll try and get as many of CHEM 4 and CHEM 5 done as I can! Thanks for the kind words!
the electrons on the first quantum shell for NA were next to each other, when they should be as far apart from each other as possible because negative charges repel. not really convenient but i just wanted to point it out
Thank You!! you really have helped me so so much!! :) However, i have i quick question from the jun2013 paper that im really struggling to understand - its question 5g 'Which one of the first, second or third ionisations of thallium produces an ion with the electron configuration [Xe] 5d106s1?'- i dont understand why the answer is second, because the jumps from 81 to 65, so wouldnt that be like the 16th ionisation energy? if that made any sense :S
Quite a few assumptions of knowledge in this video. I had to Google what shielding was, and it was still difficult because I didn't know its context in the periodic table. Still, helped me a lot, so thank you nonetheless.
Got this question: Calculate the IE for H in Kj/mol. hint: supply sufficient energy to promote the e from n=1 to n=infinity? The other question is, if they give you H, HE^+, Li^2+,which one will has the smallest radius en motivate?
A What specification are you doing?! The first question uses equations that I'm not familiar with, if I'm completely honest! I'm also struggling to understand the wording of the second question?
How do I find the old specification videos please, as I am doing a resit. When I click old specification videos on your channel it just takes me to the AS new specification vidoes? So I'm confused, thanks. I watched your videos last year before the new spec came in to place
+Megan Davies They are the same as the NEW SPEC ones. The only difference between the courses is that the new spec kids now have a bit more on equilibria and a different type of mass spec.
What about the 1st ionization energy of aluminium and magnesium? Why is it that aluminium has lesser 1st ionization energy than magnesium? Is it the same with sulfur and phosphorus?
My chemistry teacher is great. But you my friend are a legend.
