I have bkp warpigs on my les paul custom and while the midrange is awesome the sheer amount of bass the pups were pumping was really making my tone flub. You helped me purchase my fluence bridge.. I hope this doesn't fart out.
I hope you get the tone your looking for. Fishman Fluences are not for everyone I’ve noticed. Some people are agains active pickups 100% other love it. Hopefully these work out for you. Keep me posted. I’m interested to know what the outcome was for you.
@@thepetemetalshow Right, its been forever but I finally installed my set in my LPC.. with a lil help from a local tech. I wanted to switch the bridge controls with the neck and somehow my tech messed up, the voicing switch works fine but no hf tilt. As for the sound: hell fugging yeah. Completely brought back my les paul to life. I actually love the active squash thing, every note sounds so even and focused. Its as dynamic but louder than my bkp warpig. Crazy high output. I love this thing to death. Only if installing it wasnt such a hassle Id have collected most of the Fluence pups.. but I still might do it anyways because thats how great it sounds Fishman CS is literally the worst, man. lol
Nice playing and aggressive sounds!Btw I wanna know that do you think Fishman dye more on the tone than other pickups? Will Gibson lose its original style of voice?
It loses it but the custom pickups that came with the guitar were on the weak side. I needed something aggressive but it sounds sooo thick with this guitar when I switched to Fishman
That LP is beautiful. I have a white LTD Eclipse with the thick body and love it, but I wish I had a blacked out version, too. You got some good chops all around. You also remind me of one of my coworkers, lol. Happy jamming. 😎
Thank you for checking me out on this video. I never knew ESP made thick body single cut guitars. I had a single cut LTD back in the day but it was slim and with a belly cut. This guitar is damn near 10Lbs just a heavy chunk of mahogany wood. Your co worker must be amazing 😂 thank you for complement keep rocking 🤘🏽 🎸 🔥
@@thepetemetalshowI used to have an ESP Eclipse II that was slim with a belly cut, but they started making them thick in the LTD line some years ago. I sold the ESP years ago and still kinda regret it, but when I saw the LTD with the thick body, I just had to get it, mainly because it reminded me so much of the ESP I had. Think my LTD is roughly 8½ pounds and has some body chambering. It's my favorite guitar. You're welcome for the compliments. 👍 And, yes, my coworker is a hoot in his own right, lol. 😆
@@thepetemetalshow Yep, they've got the EC-1001TCTM in snow white (what I have) with EMGs and two different burst-colored models with some different Fishman pickups (Classic Open Core, I think). I've been eyeing the tobacco sunburst. 😯
Burst buckers are the SH*T. This came with custom buckers which were weak AF. I had to make this guitar come alive and MAN these fishman were the correct choice
Thank you! I was always wondering why my Jackson that has the Sam pickup sounded so different from this guitar. Alder wood on the Jackson which gave it a brighter tone and mahogany on the LP which gives it more low end. Some people would disagree but I can definitely hear it. The fretboard wood also plays a roll in the tonal difference
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! GORGEOUS!
@@REZNAP thank you 🙏🏽

Sounds killer. I know it's way better in person.

I love my fishmans but i don’t know if I’d get rid of the burst buckers myself they cut through a mix and have bite like crazy

Kick ass dude
Thanks.
Reminds me of the les paul matt heafy played in the chapman studo records
It’s almost the same in his earlier days before getting the signature model he has now
I am having this set installed into my 1992 Gibson Les Paul custom. Did you have to buy long pots for yours?
It all should come in the box all together because they are push pull
my only question is, where does the battery go? i know most active guitars have a spot routed. is it a pain to change the battery?
This is in the rear cavity where the volume and tone pots are located
The thing looks beautiful!!! It is funny how the wood of the body plays such a big role in the tone
