- Опубліковано 28 лис 2015
- Roger Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and was the driving force behind what fans call the 14 golden years of the band. He wrote, sang, and arranged the enduring rock standards that made Supertramp a worldwide phenomenon with album sales in excess of 60 million. Roger not only gave us “Child of Vision,” but also other timeless classics such as "Give a Little Bit," "Breakfast in America,” “Dreamer," "The Logical Song," "Take the Long Way Home," "It's Raining Again," "Fool's Overture," "School," and many more.
Roger is currently on tour. Every concert is a powerful emotional journey and his passion for his music and his art shines through in the magic and intimacy that is felt by the audience, as with this October 2013 show in Montreal, QC, Canada. Concordo in pieno ....i migliori della nostra storia Pink Floyd e Supertramp
Musicians and bands like this, unfortunatlly no longer exist. I am very sad for it!

Supertramp "entered" my life in the late 70's early 80's and for some unexplainable reason they never left. Till today. Even though they still (thank god) exist today, if we want to be honnest we have to admit that 90% of supertramp DNA is.....Mr Hodgson. I mean, this is not just about music. This is mostly about magic. 😢Bless them all for still being around. 👍🇵🇹
super
God bless Mr Roger and Supertramp.
The best era in music ….when musicians were musicians……..magical times ❤
I agree. Great times with Super Tramp.
Yeh
They were awesome, but there are still awesome musicians today ! Yesterday is not better than today, and today is not better than tomorrow !

I cldnt stop listening to this album for a few wks when I was a 15yo homeless runaway - ChildOfVision got me thru sleeping on the overnight trains, hidden in the dunes of a metropolitan beach, under a bridge in a storm.....
Oh la la. Toute ma jeunesse. Un super grand plaisir. Un grand moment. Merci et encore merci. 👏👏👏🙏💖.
Quelle superbe chanson... Douce mélancolie de notre jeunesse lointaine et heureuse !
The Supertamp the best musical group of the 70s and one of the best ever of the history of music.

A timeless song , I listened to them in my twenties and here I am in my sixties unphased by the beauty of the lyrics and real music
Supertramp are simply timeless. As good now as then. Iconic music, lyrics and a unique sound. Sheer quality and always a joy to listen to
I agree!!
"Intemporel" voilà l'adjectif que je cherchais ... C'est exactement ça !!! J'ajouterai même indémodable et irremplaçable ce groupe.

They had it all! 2 pianos,2 drummers,Horns, Guitars..sure I'm forgetting some😂
Love how Roger gives the Pianist that beautiful solo, and Roger keeps the rhythm! Very cool! Beautiful song! One of my favorites!

Or July 2023. The harmonies on this song on Breakfast In America absolutely blew my mind in ‘79. It still brings me chills & nobody but Roger’s performance & his talented band could replicate this masterpiece live the way it should be done. I’m truly impressed!

Thank god for people who can create music
Martin Eamon Nugent ... A huge AMEN to that!
Roger Hodgson isn't only an excellent singer, writer and composer,
he also has a great talent of finding excellent musicians to accompany him. 5 x 😇!
Actually, it was his mother who had that great talent. She told Roger to go down and interview with Rick to join his band.
@@WilliamJones-sf5pt His father gave him his guitar when he was 12. Other parents tell children to learn something "proper", but his talented mother knew about her talented son and what makes him pleasure and encouraged him. That's how a mother has to be❣
@@matildah7374 Cool. Rick was also a child prodigy. When searching for a band to play in, the only group needing someone was looking for an organist. Having never played the instrument, Rick faked it. Rick was eight years Roger's superior.
Was für super Songs stimme einfach einzigartig danke
Thank you Roger for continuing to play and making millions of hearts smile.
A ton service Mimi 🥰🤪🥳
Inoubliables
This man's incredible music saved my life true story 🙏💕🏴👌
How wonderful it was to grow up in an era of bands that went on stage and played their own instruments and sang songs that they wrote and were able to perform on stage and have it sound as good live as it was in the studio!
Yes true talent no gimmicks music that lasts for years gives so much pleasure, anyone with a good musical ear can appreciate these bands, and realise how lucky our generation was to enjoy their talent.
Right on 😎👍
thank you very much in corsica
With no auto tune either !!!!! I hope the kids today see this and realize that THIS is music!
This is just a sad reminder how shitty most music has become these day. Roger, back in de seventies, still today one of my all time favourites.
Saw these Masters in Whitianga, incredible experience, true pros.
Saw Supertramp at the Millard Fillmore in NYC in the ‘70’s! Loved them. Still do!!!!!
Super trump is my fav band for over 30 years and still never get tired of hearing their music. Just great music!!!!! Thank you Roger for keeping Supertramp alive.

I must confess this song is a real masterpiece.
yes but with time gets even better because no other bands can come close, Rodger must realise this and I hope enjoys this fact!
Thanks to Roger for this.

Such talent, it's still as compelling today as the first time I heard it all those years ago. Music I grew up to, wonderful memories.
Non mi preoccupo anzi. Siamo giugno 2023 dico fantastico
I once had an 8-track of S.T. Years ago, I forgot about them for years, now in 2023 buying many MP3’s , fell in love with their music after all these years!
Just Wow! Unbelievable. Lively. And the lyrics. Intoxicating! This was and is and will remain a masterpiece.

Totally agree with you ❤
It's rare that a live version of a classic song is almost identical to the studio version. But this is one of them.
It's just missing the tempo drift of the studio album, but otherwise it's pretty darn good.
It was a standard feature of Supertramp performances
Isn’t it?? Identical to the real version
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Наверно единственный случай, когда живое исполнение даже лучше студийного тех лет. Тогда это был хороший свежий коньяк, а сейчас это шикарнейший выдержанный коньяк с прекрасным букетом.
Awesome ❤❤❤❤
One of the most beautiful songs they came out with. I love the long introduction and the piano playing. It is awesome.
This is the music I grew up with. Simply superb. Thank you Roger.
Me too,now my kids have grown up with as well.

If you missed the chemistry, you would not have caught, you would have not caught, yes........
It's unbelievable beautiful, amazing .
One of the best live performance ever, Love you

Songs that have carried me through some tough times.

I have not the faintest idea of what the younger generation will have as memories of the crap they listen to , but bearing in mind that I am now nearly 78, and sang all the golden oldies of past generations, but realised they were sexless songs, moon in June etc., lucky our generation, we have had it all, but this 2021 music is lacking in getting to your soul, I do not know how else to describe it.
