You are so brilliant teacher, I have never seen such a nice teacher before! Learning English is a piece of cake by watching your videos! Thank you so much for making such a phenomenal video! Love from India ❤️💕
Hi, teacher. I am from Brazil and we have many problems with english fonects. The most of your words have aspirations, as like "pro'pose" ( ' = aspiration). In portuguese, spanish too, does not have this aspiration in the words. One dicionary it is very helpfull, but i love your class.
Great as always! Could you make a video about the most common travel expressions? If possible informal or slang expressions. For example: Making a phone call to reserve a room, talking at hotel's receptionist, airport, taxi, directions and so on... I've been learning English by myself thanks to your channel! I'm Italian and in quarantine! Here in Italy the situation is really serious due to Coronavirus! Everyone has to stay home! That's why I wanna study more.
Thanks, I have one question tho: in casual daily conversations, is the subjunctive used? Do ppl not put the s with he, she, it and use be in the infinitive from?
Hello sir ... your method of teaching is so understandable. You are requested to make vedio on "should have been and could have been" Thanks for your unconditional support i really appreciate that.
Sir , Great Would you please make a video on? How to use which and where to use that? Because I haven't gotten it at all. Which and That. But please reply SIR
The doctor advises that the patient take his pills regularly. Sir, if I were to change this sentence into the past tense, should I say "the doctor advised that the patient take..." Or took?
In this case 'The doctor advised that the patient take pills'. The tricky part of the subjunctive is that you always have to use the base form of the main verb. However, in most cases, if you just use a normal verb matching the subject, it's not a big mistake.
This topic is new for me. I never read it in any book yet.
Thank you so much.
Excellent lesson. First time somebody explains subjunctives so clearly in just five minutes. Thanks!

what if the sentence was in past tense, what would the structure look like?
Sir can I use it's essential that the oil to be changed instead of be changed.
no
@@Learnamericanenglishonline it's essential the oil to be changed, no?
Thanks, I have one question tho: in casual daily conversations, is the subjunctive used? Do ppl not put the s with he, she, it and use be in the infinitive from?
I would say it's not very common in spoken English, especially in British English. It's good to use this form in business communication.
In portuguese we have a sulffix to all verbs to indicate the subjunctive. Therefore brazilians have often difficult to understand your language.
