I'm confused by the "What will you do?" vs "What would you do?" I think either can be used. Will = a promise, Would is less than a promise, it's an idea of what you think you would do.

Can we say the below sentences? "What if he is/was telling the truth?" "What if he has been/had been telling the truth since the beginning?" "What if he hasn't known about it?"
