- There are some important differences when choosing between the words "no" or "not." This can cause problems for students because there are so many different ways to use these words. This video addresses the main concerns but you will find many exceptions as you study English.

Great explanation with practical examples! Thank you.
so helpful 🙌
Here I want to bring light to those who are really interested in it, here it is......
No and not both are a kind of negative adverb. 'No' negative the word especially noun after it and 'not' negate the verb. This is the hidden factor of it.
Hope it helps.
If you like give thum up.
HEY!!!...... THIS IS MY FIRST TIME HERE! .....THANKS AND GREETINGS FROM BOGOTA COLOMBIA .... THANKS A LOT!

Thanks for teaching us.
The explanation was very clear. Thanks. Obrigado.
Hat off you're incredible teacher.....
Plz make a video about cleft sentences..
Thanks for the class, I understood everything
Excellent, this is used with almost everything that includes no or any, you can use either one, all you have to do is make sure which way you’re using in the sentence, because I’m if you use the “no” it is negative by itself, instead “any” needs a negation.
Great lesson, teacher.
I'm Italian, I've been following you for about 2 years you have taught me so much so far. Could you make a video where you explain us the most common words or phrases used by Americans the wrong way?

﴿لَقَد كانَ لِسَبَإٍ في مَسكَنِهِم آيَةٌ جَنَّتانِ عَن يَمينٍ وَشِمالٍ كُلوا مِن رِزقِ رَبِّكُم وَاشكُروا لَهُ بَلدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَرَبٌّ غَفورٌ﴾ [سبأ: ١٥]
There was for [the tribe of] Saba’ in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told], "Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [have you], and a forgiving Lord."
- Saheeh International
﴿فَأَعرَضوا فَأَرسَلنا عَلَيهِم سَيلَ العَرِمِ وَبَدَّلناهُم بِجَنَّتَيهِم جَنَّتَينِ ذَواتَي أُكُلٍ خَمطٍ وَأَثلٍ وَشَيءٍ مِن سِدرٍ قَليلٍ﴾ [سبأ: ١٦]
But they turned away [refusing], so We sent upon them the flood of the dam, and We replaced their two [fields of] gardens with gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees.
- Saheeh International
﴿ذلِكَ جَزَيناهُم بِما كَفَروا وَهَل نُجازي إِلَّا الكَفورَ﴾ [سبأ: ١٧]
[By] that We repaid them because they disbelieved. And do We [thus] repay except the ungrateful?
- Saheeh International
﴿وَجَعَلنا بَينَهُم وَبَينَ القُرَى الَّتي بارَكنا فيها قُرًى ظاهِرَةً وَقَدَّرنا فيهَا السَّيرَ سيروا فيها لَيالِيَ وَأَيّامًا آمِنينَ﴾ [سبأ: ١٨]
And We placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [many] visible cities. And We determined between them the [distances of] journey, [saying], "Travel between them by night or by day in safety."
- Saheeh International
﴿فَقالوا رَبَّنا باعِد بَينَ أَسفارِنا وَظَلَموا أَنفُسَهُم فَجَعَلناهُم أَحاديثَ وَمَزَّقناهُم كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّ في ذلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبّارٍ شَكورٍ﴾ [سبأ: ١٩]
But [insolently] they said, "Our Lord, lengthen the distance between our journeys," and wronged themselves, so We made them narrations and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
- Saheeh International
﴿وَلَقَد صَدَّقَ عَلَيهِم إِبليسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعوهُ إِلّا فَريقًا مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ﴾ [سبأ: ٢٠]
And Iblees had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a party of believers.
- Saheeh International
﴿وَما كانَ لَهُ عَلَيهِم مِن سُلطانٍ إِلّا لِنَعلَمَ مَن يُؤمِنُ بِالآخِرَةِ مِمَّن هُوَ مِنها في شَكٍّ وَرَبُّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيءٍ حَفيظٌ﴾ [سبأ: ٢١]
And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.
- Saheeh International
﴿قُلِ ادعُوا الَّذينَ زَعَمتُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ لا يَملِكونَ مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّماواتِ وَلا فِي الأَرضِ وَما لَهُم فيهِما مِن شِركٍ وَما لَهُ مِنهُم مِن ظَهيرٍ﴾ [سبأ: ٢٢]
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Allāh." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant.
- Saheeh International
Thanks so much
I did not understand this topic to be honest.
So I could say:
I have no idea or I don't have any idea, is this correct, isn't?
Thanks for this video
Thanx !
Thank you
(The word “information” is a noncount noun)
Wait, only the sense 4 from Wiktionary is countable and all other senses are uncountable
Sir, what's the difference between "to do" and "to be done" ? Could you please explain this with some examples....?
