@@yourlocaltherapistfriend5091 exactly, I’ve been making fursuits for two years and I still have a long way to go before I’m good, being a furry is a lot of work, time, head, hand, and backaches. and I’ve seen so many amazing furries get nothing but hate because people are very uneducated and out of the know. I would *very highly* recommend to research anything for this matter before saying anything.
@@BeautyBySierraa well, I can't speak from experience, I have yet to create anything of the sort, but I have seen my sister try and fail to create paws, but she's trying really hard to get the shape correct. I do have some small scale plush experience though, and just from that it's obvious that larger scale projects take enormous amounts of effort, time, material and motivation. I haven't watched as many furry creation videos as I have other content, but I assure you I have seen enough to know that unless I underwent creating a suit myself I cannot fathom to what end one will go to through all the pain of sewing and continuous effort for such a beautiful and rewarding product. I made a tailbase (too lazy to fur right now, but ye) using one of your tutorials like 2 months ago, and since I don't have an electic knife, I had to do it all with scissors. It took me like 4 days just to carve it and I still hurt my hand even though I took a lot of brakes! I really recomend getting an electic knife, even though I don't have one of my own! I 💙 you Neffy💙

Keep in mind smilodons (sabertooths/saberteeth) usually have small tails. Like a dog tail that has been cut. Not telling you how to make your own oc, just giving fun facts ^_^

When me and my dad are woodworking and we have to glue something together we use all the clamps "ALL THE CLAMPS"!!! Even if some of the clamps are too small for the current project he will still use them😀

Years ago I wanted to make a costume, but because it would have involved sewing fancy fabric , I just gave up the idea. Seeing your videos makes me want to try it again after all! I wanted to make a dragon Outfit with a shiny scale tail but I couldn't figure out how to make it dynamic and not just a floppy piece of stuffed fabric. Costume design has come a long way and this is fabulous
I like to watch every video you make! You show and explain how to make a tail, etc. When I watched how to make a tail milking a raptor (straight and did not fall) I showed something completely different. I was typing in "how to smoke a raptor" but it showed me "unpacking a raptor!" I would like to see how to make a raptor brag that "canopy" it would be useful. But thank you for showing me how and what to do!!^^

Hey, for marking patterns, I use yellow chalk. It shows up well on everything that isn't yellow. If you are sewing something yellow, use white chalk. I sharpen my chalk to a chisel tip, which makes marking patters very easy.

What are the dimensions or just general size of the tail? Im gonna make one around the same size but diffrent shape that will work for my fursona's design. Going to a convention in a few weeks and i still have alot to do for my suit so i could use some help 😊

I would love to make a set of puffy paw gloves, a tail and eare for my main OC SelkKat (seen in my profile) but I'm not sure how to do a large puffy tail kinda like a squirrel tail. Would I just make the foam part thick? Also does anyone know any cheap options for furs and other supplies
although ive never made a fursuit, id assume so (using more foam), but it'd probably be heavier, and more droopy if you dont put an armature-wire. id recommend finding a specific tutorial for very thick tails or for squirrel tails, and adapting it for your fursona

What are the dimensions or just general size of the tail? Im gonna make one around the same size but diffrent shape that will work for my fursona's design. Going to a convention in a few weeks and i still have alot to do for my suit so i could use some help 😊

I wonder if it would also work if I only make the upper part of the tail with foam and the under 2/3 with stuffing. I‘m trying to build in a way that allows me to travel and store easier.
It should work as long as you don't stuff it super tightly.
Just do the bare minimum to fill out the shape and reduce weight

Roughly 1 yard of fabric, and about 1.8 pounds of foam
I find a bread knive works well for cutting foam if you don't have an electric cutter. :)

I would love to make a set of puffy paw gloves, a tail and eare for my main OC SelkKat (seen in my profile) but I'm not sure how to do a large puffy tail kinda like a squirrel tail. Would I just make the foam part thick? Also does anyone know any cheap options for furs and other supplies
although ive never made a fursuit, id assume so (using more foam), but it'd probably be heavier, and more droopy if you dont put an armature-wire. id recommend finding a specific tutorial for very thick tails or for squirrel tails, and adapting it for your fursona
