Not a furry, but jesus christ the fursuit community is SO FREAKING TALENTED. Don’t know why people would mock you guys as much as they do. Your skills are incredible.
Thank you we work very hard to get our fur and shaping right
It’s a meme, as well as misinformation. There are bad eggs in the community, but there are zero communities without weirdos.
Just check the protogen part of the fandom to be amazed
I agree
Yeah, ty someone called me fatherless yesterday because of being a furry
I'm not even a furry? I don't know why this was in my recommended, but the amount of work people put into fursuits is INSANE!!
I'll say before I got really into the cute suits I never woulda guessed how much they cost. It's an expensive hobby.
It's a expensive hobby I've bought SO much fabric I know I'm young but I am very good a sewing I mean I made paws so ☺️
@@the_subhuman yeah! The paws are super cute!! I had a friend in highschool who brought their paws one day and I wore them for fun and they were SOOOO SOFT
@@gabriellej6604 aw thanks so much I worked really hard on them it was alot of work cause I hand sewed them but thank you for the compliment it means alot !!
One of us, one of us
This was really helpful for me. I'm making a manticore suit and didnt know how I'd do the scorpion tail. It will hopefully be easier now. 😁
I'm actually planning to do a scorpion tail tutorial in the near future for my own manticore as well! :D
Cool :0
Cool!
Wow, A manticore sounds so cool!
what!!! my mom asked me yesterday to make her a manticore too! 🤯
*I see dragon, I click*
I am simple person.
simple person want dragon
Same.. I want this Tail for my dutchie 😀
agreed.
Same mate, same
Agreed, I am also a simple being
Your voice is the most satisfying voice I’ve ever heard I SWEAR
Aww, thank you so much!
I agree.
i agree you have a wandful voice!
I don't know but it kinda angers me, probably because im not a very positive person... but no hate neff i love your videos
Their voice reminds me of a teacher, I love it
I really want to make my own floor dragging tail😅 They seem so cool and nice for snuggles
Same lol. Sept my Sona has a reeeeeeeaaaaaallllllllllyyyy long tail. So that'll be kinda pricey lol
Im gonna make my own lol
I don't even make fursuits or anything but I just really love watching your tutorial videos, they're very relaxing to listen to, you're amazing

I know, right? It's got that feeling similar to a mother reading a child a story. ❤️

I literally screamed "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" when I saw this
Seriously, Neff.....your content has the good vibes that I live for
Would love a tutorial on how to make the gore detail on a sewing machine with neat tips and tricks!
It looks like its made using the top stitching method like in the paw video!
She did that recently on her hyper movement dog tail tutorial.
If and when I ever decide to go to a fur con, this is something I'd enjoy wearing. I think they're neat and well FUN! I like the idea of how emotional and expressive the tail can be. The movement is why I think this would be so much fun to wear. It doesn't just sit there or hang off of you.
suddenly oop someone spit wet gum on the floor and now its in ur tail
yeahhh- but I don’t have fabric yet, waiting to get some and idk how it will turn out ;-;
R.I.P for all the people that have to hand sew ✋😭
Oof
It can be therapeutic but it depends on the project. If you’re making a small plush or part of a suit no problem! But working with tougher fabrics or layers of thicker fabrics? Nope! I need a machine!!
My Mom selled my Sewmachine one week ago and now i have to hand sew:')
🖐🏻😥 hand sewing is stressful but oh well..
Thanks for your condolences 😩✋
Are you okay with others doing the gore detail for tails? It's such a unique and adorable concept!
Oh absolutely!
She did that on her super motion canine tail video :D
Me to I wanna be a fursona maker
@CuteFuryPop74what tail do you want i can find an easy tutorial for you
*me watching with no fursuit or materials*
ikr lolll
Sameeee
Same but I'm mainly just studying
Same tho
The master has posted 😃😃 hopefully I'll be able to make my own fursuit one day qwq
Good luck 💖
Good luck i hope one day when im old enough to move out i will make a fursuit that looks like my doggo
The BEST way I can think to describe your work is "high quality", my *goodness*
yessss i was binging your tutorials the other day, turns out they're really relaxing to fall to sleep to XD im so happy there's another these are so helpful!

I Need To Make One Of These When I Get More Foam 😮
It’s more preferred to use poly-fill for the inside of the tail..
@@rosearts...5549 They could have ment for the base she was talking about, that’s what I think at least.
@@shiloh_gamer_yt3181 THATS WHY PSHTT 😂😂😂😂 ITS WHAT I WAS TALKING ABT
@@rosearts...5549 Oh, sorry!
This is why Neffertity is like my favorite. I love the kindness that flows throughout her, it always makes me smile :>
Thanks for the tutorial! :D
As someone who plans on making one of these, I need a crash course of sewing 😭
Great video by the way!
my heart when you used the iron was dying haha. I use a hair dryer I don’t think an iron is the best option cause it can so easily melt the fibers. But if it works for you that’s great! 💕💕
That's why I kept it on a super low heat.
I've noticed when I use the hairdryer method it leaves my fur weirdly frizzy at the base.
I kinda wanna make a tail with a zipper to store small things-
Cool!
Do it!
sounds cool!
I had the same idea!! Go for it!
I was here at 0 likes btw the tail end result looks so cool this video was very helpful for me
Ily you’re videos
Man it takes a brave soul to use an iron to fix kinked fur like that. Cool little hack to know about.
Curious why you didn't sew the feathers into side seams before finishing up sealing the tail on the bottom.
I find it makes them look really stiff and also is an absolute pain to turn inside out.
I was watching this while sewing paw pads onto my dragon paws. I put down the needle and thread and started the tail :)
This was sooo helpful :)
AHHHH! YAY IT MAKES ME SO EXCITED EVERY TIME YOU UPLOAD, I CHECK YOUR CHANNEL EVERYDAY!
I am a Cosplayer who has literally never done anything with tail. This is like 2yrs old and has helped me learn how to make them :D
Thank you so much
The way you sewed on the tail fins/feathers make me think it's just the TOUGHEST seam you could possible get
This is beautiful! I'm not really one for fursonas, but I like fursuits and would love to own one someday (I have an oc who is a a cat that also has a furry form, so I kinda want to make one for her and wear it-) I really want a floor dragging tail, but a cat one. Would that also work for this? Would it be easier or harder? Would the lack of as much of a size difference from base to end make it less durable or sturdy? I guess so, but I know practically nothing about this kind of stuff-
I imagine it would be a very similar process
@@Neffertity Oh my time thank you! I wasn't expecting you to actually see this- thank you! Thats very helpful!
Also, you're videos are so nice to watch, they're calming too. I hope you have a nice day/night!
@@okashi_gaster2764 Im happy you enjoy them!
I have a saying,, I’m not picky, I’m simple. Vegetables, sausages, meat that take up to an hour to cook? Nah, creamy pasta that takes 5 minutes to make? Yes. Same goes for this, I see a furry, I click 😌 simple
I can’t wait to see that belt tutorial. I’ve been making tails for almost 2 years and that will be SOOOOO much better than a strip of elastic.
This is very useful, I just made a floor dragging tail, and I thought I did it wrong but it turns out I did it right I was so worried lmao
Awesome explanation! The only thing I'd suggest is about the beads at the tip of the tail. If you get a small seam rip, those beads come pouring out. So I always sew a small little baggie out of some mesh/thin fabric just to keep them in place. Good idea with the upholstery needle, I forgot those existed but they would be very helpful here!
Very solid advice!
Holy cow the roll-down stuffing method is-- you are a genius
Can you do a tutorial for the base alone? Including the one with the bone embroidery design. The design looks like one I’m trying to recreate for another project but I can’t quite seem to figure out how the fabric is placed.
your tutorials are always so helpful! thanks so much for making amazing tutorials that are also easy to follow. i’m definitely going to follow this tutorial when i’m making my sisters suit! your suits are all so beautiful and keep up the amazing work Neffertity!
i cannot belivethat your pet is named CHEETO. you are an unmatched help to society
lol my brother named him years ago
AAAAAAA THIS IS SO COOLLLL :DDD I absolutely love how fun and cheerful you are to :3 I'm using this video as a guide for the tail I'm making right now!
This is helpful! I’m working on making my dragon fursona a suit and I’ve been needing a tail tutorial like this! So thank you!
I was having a mental breakdown. And then I remembered that there was a video that you posted that I hadn't watched yet. Thanks for being here. I'm still crying, but it's not nearly as bad as before. It is 4am though, and I haven't gotten a wink of sleep. Oh well. Can't change that.
hope you're doing better now xoxo
Stay strong!
I hope you’re doing ok now, after 3 years.
I hope you are happy now..
I’m really excited for you to make full suit tutorials cas I have a very unique fursuit idea. It’s based on a micro raptor and a dragon thing. I love your videos and tiktoks! 😊
I’m new to the furry community, and I’ve been saving all these tutorial videos! I’m going to be making the paws first
Super grateful for the tutorial!! Fur is super expensive to get in New Zealand, and a clear tutorial is exactly what I need to minimise mistakes/ wasted fur. The tail looks absolutely amazing!!!!
(I'll also definitely be using the shark tail tutorial too!)
Glad it was helpful!
I love really long tails, and that one was super cute! My sona has a bunny tail atm, it was hard choosing between long or short. I didn't wanna make her too raptor like, she needed more of the rabbit features to be a proper raptor-rabbit XD
genuinely,,, I'd love to just buy one of these as a pillow. They just look so comfortable to sleep on
Me has no sewing machine so I have to hand sew TwT
That's what torture feels like
Same! Blisters ahoy!
Lmao I have to hand sew when I get enough materials to make my fursuit head
As long as your careful, it shouldn’t melt the f-
IDK WHY THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD-
The Queen has returned!
Thank you for this tutorial, I have a Dutchie with a giant tail, so this helps a lot 💜
turning it inside out is like the hardest part for handpaws and tails cause omg it is so hard to push out lol
Genshin Players scrambling in the comments:
You are basically a genius, thank you for this and the other videos you've made :-;
Listen, I’m not a furry… but…
In all seriousness I do have to make some really long tails for a cosplay I’m working on so this popped into my recommendation at the perfect time. I don’t make fursuits, nor do I ever plan to, but I can definitely admire the work that goes into making one.
I find a lot of cosplayers enjoy my tutorials. ^_^
Ty for making this it really helped me I’m planning on making a fur suit
I originally found this by the plushies. Didn’t know it was a furry channel. Anyway, your channel has a lot of good costume advice, I might actually be able to make a good Halloween costume.
I've also had lots of cosplayers use my tutorials as well. :D
It makes me happy to know lots of creative people find my content helpful!
This tutorial is very helpful!! Thank you! I'm researching different ways that I might make a dragon tail for my Queen Velverosa cosplay! Also, you seem like just the nicest person ever - I hope that you have a fabulous 2021 and beyond! :)
Neff, your tutorials are always so helpful, and they even motivate me to make things! I've used your paw tutorial and made at least 2 pairs so far, tho they're just practice. I'm working on a third pair right now!
I finally made one! I watched this video a while ago and stumbled upon it recently and impulsively decided to make my own tail! I don't really consider myself to be a furry, but the idea of having a tail always seems fun! Went to JOANN and spent like $30, so obv its not made out of the best fabric, but I really like how it came out! Also they only had a really large $50 bag of polly fill beads so instead I used pony beads but it works fine! Just rattles a little bit but that's kinda fun! It took me about 5 hours to make, and honestly I'm surprised how well it turned out. Thank you for making this video, I'm having lots of fun with my tail! :)
I'd be curious to see a Tutorial on how you make Patterns
QUEEN POSTED AGAIN
Me, watching these amazing tutorials and ends up making my own way of making tails inspired by you
I've watched this video 3 times already because I just love looking at that finished tail so much! It's fantastic, and your tutorials are so helpful. I can't wait to see how you do the belt pocket and the gore cutaway, as I plan on incorporating both when I make the tail for my dutchie sona's suit.
This was very helpful! I'm planning to make one for a project and this is a high-quality turtorial
I'm sure someone's said this to you already, but one way to help combat pieces shifting as you sew them - especially on big, slippery pieces like fur - is to start sewing from the "middle" and work your way out. Generally speaking, as you sew something, it will want to shift (either very little or a lot) in the direction you're sewing. So since you sew a tail from the base to the tip, the pattern will want to gradually start sliding in that direction. By starting from the middle and working out, you effectively "stick" the pattern in place, and ensure that any shifting that DOES happen will be in a place that's minimally visible and intrusive. In the case of tails like this, if your pattern started shifting towards the base of the tail, you could cut that excess off.
Like you said, there's no absolute foolproof cure to this, just diligent work and extensive pinning, but I find this tip helps a lot.
*Disclaimer that this method usually isn't necessary on shorter seams or pieces that don't have strong visible patterns that need to line up.
Excellent advice!
I've done this on bodysuits and arms recently and it certainly does make a difference!
@@Neffertity Thank you! ^^ I'm glad I could help.
hii neffertity!i love your fursuits and videos !!!u helped so mucch to make tail for my dragon !im so happy thank you so much byeee i love yourr channel!
I love how u make ur fur suits, fur suits are ma life I wish I had one:(
Im saving up as much money as I can in hopes to eventually commission Neffertity for my first suit
A floor dragging tail would be the type of tail I'd want on my fursuit! Nice work!
(Warning: don’t read if you don’t like needles)
When my mom was doing a summer camp job thingy she was helping a kid with a sewing machine and the kid got a little fast and got my moms finger stuck in it and the needle went completely through her finger (she’s okay tho lol)
Moral of the story be careful with sewing machines
A similar thing happened to a student in the school I go to.
Thanks for the warning
Even though I didn’t listen to it
My fingers started to sting the pain of that tho

Id like to add:
For anyone having issues with silky fur or even minky fabrics that like to shift when you machine sew them- I recommend trying out a walking foot because it helped me tremendously with reducing it.
